Bid on this magnum of 2003 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Paradise Hills Estate (14.5% natural alcohol) enjoyed the same upbringing as the Merlot. Its dark opaque plum/purple color is followed by more restrained aromatics of creme de cassis, vanillin and sweet barbecue/charcoal notes. Full-bodied and rich with more structured, tannic flavors, a sweet mid-palate, a beautiful core of ripe fruit, terrific purity and density, and the great character one expects from this site, it will benefit from another 3-4 years of cellaring, and should keep for two decades, fulfilling proprietor Claude Blankiet’s ambition to make a world-class wine. (RP)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Château Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, (92-95ST), 94WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (an 8, 600-case cuvee made from yields of 1.98 tons of fruit per acre) is considered by Bo Barrett to be a 'great' year. The wine boasts a saturated inky/purple color as well as extraordinary density of fruit and cassis, and huge tannin, body, and extract. It is a substantial, palate-staining, long, muscular Cabernet that should only be purchased by connoisseurs with cold cellars as well as patience. The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon remains one of California's most remarkable Cabernets. I have been following it since the early seventies, and even the most difficult vintages are still drinking beautifully. The home vineyard is so consistent that even in vintages such as 1989 and 1998, this wine is far better than its competition. (RP)" (08/2002)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Barbour Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Jim Barbour is one of the most highly respected viticulturalists in Napa, with a 40-year career that included planting and managing such vineyards as Hundred Acre, Revana, Checkerboard, Grace Family, Blankiet, and Keever. In 1992, Jim bought his own property just south of St. Helena and planted his own outstanding site, with his first vintage being bottled in 1995. This dry-farmed, sustainable site quietly produces some of Napa's finest fruit for a total production of approximately 400 cases per year.
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Kata "Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94JD, 92WS). Vinous: "Kata has been one of the most singular wines in Napa Valley since I first tasted it, which was before it even had a name. The 2017 is no exception. Fleshy and sumptuous in the glass, with terrific resonance, the 2017 is so expressive and so inviting. Black cherry, grilled herbs, menthol, licorice, spice and new leather all build in a sumptuous, racy wine that has so much to offer. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah works so well here. (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97JD, 97VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep garnet colored 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon contains 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It slips sensuously out of the glass with the most beautiful notions of warm cassis, redcurrant jelly, chocolate-covered cherries and cigar box plus wafts of incense, cinnamon stick, cardamom, dried lavender and star anise. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has exquisitely ripe, finely grained tannins and fantastic freshness lifting all those vibrant fruit and earthy nuances to a very long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $290.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 D.R. Stephens Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 92RP, 91JD). James Suckling: "This is a plush and deep-set red with a very assertive palate that has plenty of ripe red fruit and a vibrant mulberry, red-plum and boysenberry palate. Neat and detailed Cabernet. " (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 100JS, 100RP, 100VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Dominus overwhelms all the senses with its magnificent overall balance and towering intensity. Deep and nearly impenetrable in the glass, the 2013 boasts off the charts dry extract and overall power. Violets, smoke, black cherries, menthol, incense, crème de cassis and dark spices are some of the many signatures that take shape in the glass. Even better in bottle than it was in barrel, the 2013 is utterly magnificent. This is a remarkably vivid, nuanced wine considering its sheer size. (AG)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $1,150.00

Bid on this bottle of 1976 Clos du Val "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. For nearly 50 years, Clos du Val has been making wines according to their own code. These days, they call it "Vindependence". But when John Portet, Clos du Val co-founder chose this area in the Napa Valley in 1972, it was just called, "making good wine from good grapes". Clos du Val released its first wine in 1974, and the winery's 1972 Cab was among the six California Cabs featured in the Judgement of Paris tasting.
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Hall "Exzellenz" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Exzellenz, which comes from their Sacrashe Vineyard in Rutherford seems more tightly knit than the Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall. Again, it seems like this fruit source of theirs in Rutherford tends to produce wines that need time in bottle. The overwhelming, extravagant, richness is certainly present, as is the vintage personality of opulence, ripeness and fabulous purity and texture. This dense purple wine is loaded, much like all its siblings, but more backward and a longer-term prospect. Forget it for five years and drink it over the next 25. (RP) 95+" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Staglin Family "20th Anniversary Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 93RP). Wine Spectator: "A gorgeous wine, dark, dense and powerful, very rich and concentrated, featuring deep layers of mocha, blackberry, espresso, graphite and tobacco flavors. The long, persistent finish offers firm, ripe tannins that are softening. Slow to evolve, but has a long life ahead. (JL, Web Only-2012)"
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2016 Myriad "Beckstoffer Georges III-Empyrean" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (98RP, 96JD, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon with a deep purple-black color, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Empyrean rolls sensuously out of the glass like Cleopatra from her carpet, revealing incredibly alluring kirsch, Black Forest cake, warm blackcurrants and black raspberry scents with compelling suggestions of cinnamon stick, rose hip tea, cloves and forest floor plus a hint of pencil shavings. The full-bodied black fruit layers dance suggestively on the palate with lots of floral and red fruit sparks and a velvety frame, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1966 by winemaking pioneer and icon Robert Mondavi, the winery that bears his name is an enduring presence and shining symbol of California's Napa Valley. The first major winery built in Napa Valley in the three decades following the repeal of Prohibition, Robert Mondavi Winery created the foundation for the modern-day California wine industry. An ardent believer that wines should reflect their origins, Mr. Mondavi charted a winemaking course that is now legendary. On the 1986 vintage, Robert Parker: notes "1986 was a transitional year for the Mondavi philosophy of Cabernet Sauvignon winemaking. The unfiltered school of winemaking, which ended in 1974, resumed in 1987, yet had not taken full hold in 1986. Nevertheless, Mondavi had already moved away from the excessive manipulation and acidification practiced during the 1975-1985 era."
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 96WE, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The vineyard closest to the great Harlan Estate is Vecina, situated in the western foothills on the Oakville Crossroad overlooking the valley. From this 11-acre site, the 2003 Vecina comes closest in style to Harlan Estate, appearing like a hypothetical blend of a St. Estephe and Pauillac. A formidable wine, it reveals plenty of new saddle leather, creme de cassis, scorched earth and volcanic-like characteristics in addition to notes of blackberries, Chinese black tea and graphite. Powerful, intense and backward, it needs 2-5 years of bottle age and should last for two decades thereafter. It is a tour de force in winemaking! (RP) 96+" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $351.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((96-98RP), (95-97JD)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The opaque purple-black colored 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock vibrant notes of dark chocolate-covered cherries, crème de cassis and blueberry preserves, plus suggestions of menthol, fertile loam, licorice and dusty soil. The full-bodied palate is rich and decadent, delivering velvety tannins and soft acidity with loads of spicy sparks coming through on the finish. (LBP)" (03/2021)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Unlike more recent offerings, the 1990 came from three Napa Valley parcels, the Chabot Vineyard on the east side of Napa, Beringer’s Home Vineyard in St. Helena and the Bancroft Vineyard on Howell Mountain. 1990 experienced one of Napa Valley’s most exceptional growing seasons with a later than usual bud break, and a hot May, which served as a catalyst for early flowering and a large crop set. After some disquieting light rain in late August, dry, warm weather returned in September and October, resulting in ideal conditions for the harvest. The 1990 is fully mature, but it appears to have another decade of aging left. (RP)" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $82.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Realm "The Moonracer" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96RP, 95JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "This full-bodied, sexy, expansive beauty boasts a deep purple color to go with perfumed notes of blueberries, spring flowers, violets, and spices. " (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1987 La Jota Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-bottle of 1994 Robert Craig Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP, 90WS). Of the 1994 Robert Craig Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The enticing 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain, with a saturated dark purple color, offers up attractive, youthful aromas of lead pencil, vanillin, minerals, spice, and blackcurrant fruit. A typical mountain Cabernet with copious quantities of tannin, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated, impressively-endowed wine is well-crafted, yet backward and in need of 4-5 years of cellaring. Patience will be a virtue. (RP)" (08/1997)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour - Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JS, 96RP, 96VN, 94WE, 92JD). Vinous: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve is fabulous. Ripe, silky and wonderfully nuanced, the 2014 is all class. In 2014, the Georges de Latour is remarkably finessed from start to finish. All the elements are wonderfully fused together. The 2014 is a stunningly beautiful Georges de Latour. In 2014, about half of the lots were fermented in barrel. Drops of Petit Verdot and Merlot round out the blend. (AG)" (01/2018)
Starting Bid: $194.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Akrasia "Estate - Line of Fire Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The "Line of Fire" vineyard is tucked away in a northern corner of the Rutherford AVA and takes its name from being planted at a much higher vine per acre density than the surrounding vineyards. Productiong is overseen by veteran winemaker Patrick Saboe.
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled in July 2017 and composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc, the Dominus 2015 Proprietary Red Wine leaps from the glass with notes of fresh wild blueberries, crushed blackberries and black currant juice with touches of wild thyme, underbrush, iron ore and aniseed with wafts of lavender and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has incredible energy and vivacity, with the firm, pixelated tannins and lively backbone skillfully framing the muscular fruit, finishing with wonderful length and depth. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97DC, 94JS, 93VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Of the three Beckstoffer Vineyards, it’s pretty much a joyride as to which one readers may prefer. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane moves more toward the wet rock, blueberry, raspberry fruit spectrum, but still stays dark and foreboding, very concentrated and full-bodied. The great terroir comes through and the wine is distinctive, singular, opulent and rich. Another fabulous success from Paul Hobbs and one more showcase wine for this great vineyard. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big wine from the Barrett family (14.2% alcohol), this 2003 exhibits earthy black currant fruit, the restrained but intense Montelena style, full body, good richness and impeccable balance, purity and density. The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple and the wine shows lots of cassis. In spite of the restrained aromatics, the palate is rich, full-bodied, substantial and persuasive. This 2003 is approachable now, but it will be even more gorgeous 15, 20 and 25 years from now. This is a heritage wine from this great estate in northern Napa Valley. (RP) 94+" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99JS, 96WS, 94VN, 93RP) in original wood. James Suckling: "Like listening to cool mellow rock 'n' roll. Extraordinary aromas of violets and dark fruits such as blueberries and currants. I can't get over the aromas here. Then it goes to minerals with just a hint of bay leaf. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins with a beautiful softness and beautifulness. I love the balance and harmony to this with bright acidity. I would drink this before the 2007. Just under 1, 000 cases of 12 but all sold in threes. Reminds me of Leoville Las Cases but with Napa brightness." (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $2,000.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 100JS, 98RP, 97VN). James Suckling: "The greatest Opus ever. Terrific aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries and flowers with hints of sweet tobacco. Roses continue to exude opulence and class. Full body, superb balance of ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Complex aftertaste of black fruits and citrus fruit. Extremely persistent. So approachable now and enjoyable. But will be even better in 2019 and beyond. 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec. This will always be beautiful to drink." (09/2016)
Starting Bid: $800.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2005 Altvs (Altus) Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92WS) and 2-bottles of 2013 Altvs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2005 Altvs (Altus) Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Spectator writes: "This is bold, plush, ripe and concentrated, with potent currant, blackberry, black cherry and wild berry flavors that show a touch of heat. Ends with firm, minerally tannins. (JL)" (11/2008)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $1,350.00

Bid on this magnum of 1986 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L). In 1900, when Georges de Latour decided to buy a small, four-acre property in the town of Rutherford as a surprise for his wife he, perhaps unwittingly, purchased a piece of Napa Valley history. The land would become the foundation for Beaulieu Vineyard, which survived Prohibition by having one of a handful of contracts to supply churches with sacramental wine. After Prohibition the winery continued to thrive, experimenting with varietals, blends and aging. Under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, the winery fast became one of California's preeminent producers. This is the 100-year anniversary bottling of Beaulieu's famed Georges de Latour Private Reserve. Cellared at the winery, this is an opportunity to taste a piece of Napa Valley history.
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Gandona Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 96VN, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is fabulous. Rich, deep and explosive in the glass, the 2015 exudes richness in every dimension. A rush of raspberry jam, blueberry jam, spice, menthol and new leather build as this striking Cabernet Sauvignon shows off its pedigree and pure class. The 2015 packs a real punch and yet remains racy and supple, not to mention absolutely irresistible. Wow! (AG)" (03/2018)
Starting Bid: $126.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1982 Shafer Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90WS). Wine Spectator: "No tasting note given." (06/1985)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 1984 Château Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 93VN, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "This is a smooth, rich, dark and polished Montelena--in short a grand wine--with remarkable depth, richness and concentration. The purity of currant, mineral, black cherry and anise is deliciously focused and the tannins are ripe and supple, making this a very approachable wine, even at this stage. (JL)" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Beau Vigne "Cult" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult is a blend of both of the estate vineyards: Stags Ridge and Soda Canyon, with 15% blended from Rutherford and Oakville. It was aged in 100% new oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it prances out of the glass with showy black fruit notions of preserved plums, baked blueberries and crème de cassis plus suggestions of hoisin, cedar chest, pencil lead and tilled soil with a touch of sautéed herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with black fruit preserves with loads of exotic spice and herbal sparks, framed by chewy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing earthy. (LPB) 92+" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Kinsman Eades "Rhadamanthus" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (96WS, 94VN). Wine Spectator: "This is throwing off all kinds of vibrant violet, sweet tobacco, lilac, singed alder, juniper and sweet bay leaf accents, while the prodigious core of steeped plum, blackberry and black currant fruit waits in reserve. A cast iron bolt through the finish keeps everything in line, and when the fruit unwinds fully, this should deliver a pretty unique experience. Best from 2023 through 2038. 106 cases made. (JM, Web-2021)"
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Switchback Ridge "Peterson Family Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 93WS, 92RP, 92VN). James Suckling: "Loads of blackberries, blueberries, and dried currants on the nose, with a hint of new wood. Full bodied, with firm and chewy tannins. Very tight right now, but what an impressive depth of fruit. Give it time to open. " (02/2011)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN). Vinous: "Ironically, the 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain from a much weaker vintage than 1997 on paper, is a much more interesting wine. Huge and explosive on the palate, the 1998 boasts serious depth and concentration. Iron, smoke, anise and dark red/blackish fruit all swirl around in the glass in a striking, nuanced Cabernet that is among the wines of the year in Napa Valley. If there is a dark horse in this tasting, the 1998 is it. Beautiful. (AG)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Purlieu "Martinez Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautiful blackberry and blueberry fruit jump from the glass of the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Martinez Vineyard, which spent 26 months in 100% new French oak. Apparently this comes from a vineyard on Pritchard Hill, and one can see the blue fruits, the white flowers and the gorgeously pure texture and richness. This is superb, full-bodied and a real stunner. It's no wimpy wine, either, at 15.4% alcohol. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $91.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-99JD), (96-98RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon T6 offers more minerality as well as a touch of iron and black olive along with impressive red and black fruits, full body, and a beautiful elegance with time in the glass. It’s another brilliant vintage, and it’s worth noting that the Old Sparky release is pulled largely from a selection of this cuvée." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 95ST, 94WS, 92RP) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry, violet, mint and anise. Lush, seamless and voluptuous, in the style of the year. Very pure dark fruit and mineral flavors are given added sex appeal by bitter chocolate and espresso nuances. Finishes very long and suave, with supple tannins and outstanding early appeal. (ST)" (05/2012)
Starting Bid: $1,850.00

Bid on this magnum of 1975 Mayacamas "Napa Mountain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96JG, 96VN). Vinous: "Another breathtaking wine, the 1975 Cabernet Sauvignon is all about texture and structure. Remarkably fresh for a wine of its age, the 1975 is pure magic in the glass. The flavors are dark, rich and authoritative. Like the 1976, the 1975 will continue to thrill those lucky enough to own it for another decade, perhaps longer. (AG)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $1,025.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN, 91WE). Vinous: "Our first bottle showed a slightly dull medium red color and an element of pruney oxidation, not to mention a peppery herbal streak and a distinct mid-palate dryness. But a second bottle showed a much darker, fresher color and an altogether juicier character. Yes, there's an element of peppery herbs that few 1998 California Cabernets totally avoid, but here's there's altogether more red and darker fruit intensity and an element of mid-palate energy that does not read as greenness. The finish is quite firm, with building tannins. My score is obviously for this second sample, which is one of the best bottles of 1998 Cabernet I've tasted recently. (13.6% alcohol; 3.75 pH; 5.8 g/l acidity; aged for 20 months in 55% French and 45% American oak, 68% new) (ST) " (04/2019)
Starting Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Anomaly Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-bottle of 2016 Anomaly Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2013 Anomaly Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Anomaly specializes in the production of high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. The first vintage of Anomaly was harvested in 1997. Buoyed by the praise of their 1997 vintage, they embarked on the journey of obtaining a permit to produce Cabernet Sauvignon by building a small winery adjacent to their small vineyard. Winery note writes: "The 2013 Anomaly Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is incredibly focused. The bouquet is bursting with ripe red cherry aromas, delicately followed by hints of oak and allspice. "
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Kapcsándy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc (600 cases), reveals loads of licorice, graphite, and blackcurrants in a sexy, toasty style with hints of earth, loamy soil notes and a floral underpinning. The wine is fragrant, with great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and almost a Mouton-Rothschild-like crème de cassis element. (RP) 98+" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $526.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Myriad "Beckstoffer Georges III" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 94WS, 93JS, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from 5 separate blocks in the vineyard, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III has a Bordeaux-like (Saint-Julien?) bouquet of black currants, graphite, lead pencil and leafy herbs. It's ripe, full-bodied, and structured on the palate, with fine tannin, beautiful purity of fruit, a solid mid-palate, and a great finish. Like all these 2015s from Mike it will have two decades of longevity." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $222.00

Bid on this bottle of 1992 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Grace Family Vineyards was planted with cuttings from the famed Bosché vineyard and first harvested in 1978. Those first grapes were handpicked by family and friends and taken to Caymus Winery in the back of a station wagon. This Napa Valley vineyard sure has come a long way over the past 35 years, but their wines still have that personal, family touch. This Cab comes from the very fine 1992 vintage, which produced supple and balanced wines.
Starting Bid: $140.00

Of the 2015 Gemstone "Estate - Alluvial Selection" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Spectator writes: "Firm and tightly focused on a core of dense dark berry, loamy earth, cedar, sage and cigar box flavors. Bid on this bottle of 2013 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour - Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 96VN, 95RP, 94WE, 92CG, 91WS). James Suckling: "Love the aromas of mint, blackcurrants, stones, black licorice and flowers. Full-bodied, dense and tight with layers of very, very fine and velvety tannins and a long and fantastic finish. Wonderful length and texture. A classic." (05/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 97RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 The Bard checks in as 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, and it’s another dense, rich, powerful wine from this team that readers are going to absolutely love. Coming from throughout the valley (it’s always a great representation of the vintage), it offers up a brilliant nose of crème de cassis, ripe plums, graphite, scorched earth, and chocolate. About as seamless as they come on the palate, it’s full-bodied and has a thrilling texture, building tannins, and a gorgeous finish. It’s one of those wines where I feel like I’m overusing adjectives, but it’s warranted." (09/2021)
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this magnum of 1997 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (91WE). Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet is dark and serious, with brooding black-cherry, leather and cedar aromas. In the mouth, flavors of black plums, mint-menthol and tobacco—all with a foresty accent—fill the palate. On the heavy side of medium-weight, with a supple texture, it has a long, toasty finish with fine tannins. " (11/2000)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is just beginning to drink spectacularly well. The fabulous 1991 Reserve is the quintessential Napa Cabernet that represents a synthesis in style between the elegance of a first-growth Bordeaux and the ripe, intense, generous fruit of Napa Valley. (RP)" (08/2002) 95 points Wine Spectator: "Striking, with a solid core of rich dark berry, currant and boysenberry flavors. Dense and powerful for a Mondavi Reserve. Still promising. (JL)" (06/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96VN, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasting the three most recent vintages of the Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon was not only a privilege, but also an intellectual and hedonistic turn-on. The 2010 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a magnificent wine. Full-bodied and opulent with terrific purity, an intriguing, gravelly, wet stone-like minerality, and a sensational perfume, it has a spectacular finish that lasted over 45 seconds, offering up copious quantities of black currants, black cherries, cedar and vanillin. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. It is accessible now because of the sweetness of the tannins, but make no mistake, there is plenty of structure underlying the luxurious fruit levels. (RP)" (10/2013)
