James Suckling: "Unique aromas of blackberry, black currant, dark chocolate and walnut. Full body, very powerful and tannic. Incredible depth and power. Precise and so focused. Muscular. Starting Bid: $500.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Morgado "Sage Ridge" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Kimberly Hatcher trained under Russel Bevan (Bevan Cellars) before founding her own winery in 2009. All while pursuing her day job as a San Francisco firefighter. Winery vineyard notes: "Perched high above lake Hennessey in the Napa Valley where Cabernet Sauvignon dominates this mountainous site. Aerial views of this vineyard give an insider’s look into the intricate patchwork of blocks on steep hillsides and terraces. Some vines are so close to the edge, you wonder, how will this survive? And yet, they thrive. A good part of that success is the soil, the dynamic climate, and the meticulous farming at this high elevation mountain vineyard."
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Snowden "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve opens with wonderfully expressive notes of warm black plums, Black Forest cake, blackcurrant cordial and figs with suggestions of tobacco, dusty soil, tapenade and cedar chest plus a hint of bay leaves. The full-bodied palate is still incredibly youthful with buckets of ripe, plushly textured black fruits backed up with earth and spice box nuances, finishing long and perfumed. (LPB)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1984 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94JG, 92RP). John Gilman: "The 1984 vintage of Dominus was the first ever to be released by the estate, as Christian Moueix properly judged that the tighter and more structured 1983, which was the first wine actually vinified at the estate, would do well with a bit more bottle age in the cellars prior to release, so the 1984 was the first to find its way to market. I have always loved this vintage of Dominus and this most recent bottle was absolutely singing, offering up a deep and classy bouquet of red and black cherries, a touch of menthol, cigar smoke, a beautifully complex base of Rutherford soil, fresh herb tones and a judicious base of vanillin oak. " (05/2013)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97JS, (94-97RP), 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I tasted the 2018 Monte Bello as a finished barrel sample during the annual Ridge Monte Bello Tasting Final Assemblage event; the blend was 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 11% Petite Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. It has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and youthfully primary nose with boysenberry, blueberry jam, blackcurrant, dark chocolate-covered cherries, cigar box, graphite, loamy earth and oodles of floral character. The palate is medium to full-bodied and packed full of flavor layers, knit by very fine, ripe, pixelated tannins and great freshness and finishing very long. (LPB) 94-97+" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $325.00

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine is Bevan’s equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2012 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. Notes of unsmoked cigar tobacco, forest floor, pen ink mulberries, blackberries and spring flowers soar from this inky/purple-colored 2012. The wine possesses great intensity, remarkable unctuosity and thickness, and perfect integration of acidity, alcohol, tannin and wood. Aged in equal parts new Gamba and Darnajou barrels, there are 225 cases of this fabulous wine. Drink now-2032. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94DC, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with provocative notions of warm cassis, blueberry compote, blackberry pie and violets with chocolate box, licorice and menthol nuances plus wafts of wilted roses, lavender and kirsch. Medium-bodied, the intensely perfumed black and blue fruit flavors glide gracefully across the palate, revealing a myriad of earth and spice accents, all framed beautifully with super ripe, fine-grained tannins and invigorating freshness, finishing very, very long. Wow. LPB)" (08/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98WS, 97JS, 97VN, 96RP, 96ST, 96W&S). Wine Spectator: "A highlight of the tasting, with rocking energy, dense black currant and black berry fruit and loads of singed wood thoroughly embedded throughout. Juicy bramble, alder and bay leaf notes chime in, with a mouthwatering mineral spine buried deep on the finish. (JM, Web-2019)"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94WE, 93WS, 92CG, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This full-bodied wine is very concentrated, with a saturated bluish/purple color and a classic nose of mocha and espresso intermixed with crème de cassis and charcoal. The finish is a good 40-45 seconds, and the wine has a remarkable vibrancy and freshness from the vintage’s acidity. This is terrific stuff to drink now and over the next 12-15 years. (RP) 96+" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $227.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95WS, 94JS, 94VN, 94W&S, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the world’s great wines and profound expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. This wine spends more than 30 months in 100% new oak, and, year in year out, has been one of the most singular and profound examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. It seems Shafer began to ratchet up performance during the 1990s, and the first decade of the 21st century has provided a treasure trove of either perfect or nearly perfect wines, including the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and more recently the 2010, 2012 and, in all likelihood, the 2013. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1990 Clos du Val Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. For well over 40 years, Clos du Val has been making wines according to their own code. These days, they call it "Vindependence". But when John Portet, Clos du Val co-founder chose this area in the Napa Valley in 1972, it was just called, "making good wine from good grapes". Clos du Val released its first wine in 1974, and the winery's 1972 Cab was among the six California Cabs featured in the Judgement of Paris tasting.
Starting Bid: $245.11

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Arietta "H Block - Hudson Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91VN). Vinous: "Full medium ruby. High-pitched aromas of blueberry, black pepper and bitter chocolate; distinct hints of a cooler summer. Juicy, primary wine with excellent energy to its dark berry, spice, bitter chocolate and espresso flavors. Not at all a thick style but boasts sneaky density and depth of texture. Evolving slowly and still rather unevolved, this wine conveys an impression of firm acidity that should keep it alive for many more years. (ST) 91+" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $275.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1995 Newton "Unfiltered" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tannic, but classically constructed, the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Unfiltered offers rich cassis fruit intermixed with loamy soil scents, pain grille, and floral notes. Long in the mouth, with an expansive texture, impeccable symmetry, and fine overall balance, this wine finishes with a tannic clout, as well as outstanding ripeness and presence in the mouth. It should be long-lived, but will be ready to drink at an early age. (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $171.67

Of the 2008 Bevan "Ontogeny" Oakville Bordeaux Blend, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The stunning 2008 Ontogeny Proprietary Red (a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) boasts an opaque purple color along with notes of kirsch, blueberries, boysenberries, mocha and subtle smoke. Expansive on the palate as well as opulent and fleshy with tremendous fruit, depth and richness, there is some tannin lurking in the background, but it is largely concealed by the luxurious fruit component. Already showy and complex, this stunning red can be drunk over the next decade. One of the major fruit sources for Bevan has been the Showket Vineyard in Napa, which was recently sold to Peter Michael. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Colgin "Tychson Hill Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98JS, 98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The berries at Tychson Hill vineyard were very small in 2017. “This wine totally required baby steps with the extraction, ” said winemaker Allison Tauziet. Very deep purple-black in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard leaps from the glass with vibrant black cherries, warm blackberries and blackcurrant scents with hints of violets, dark chocolate, lavender and camphor plus a fragrant waft of rose hip tea. Medium to full-bodied, the structure is taut, restraining all the tightly packed, energetic black fruit layers, with a wonderfully fine-grained texture and bags of freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. Still very tightly wound, this one needs time, but it should handsomely reward patience. (LPB)" (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 97JD, 96RP, 96W&S, 96WS, 95JS). Vinous: "One of the highlights in this tasting, the 2016 Monte Bello has turned out just as beautifully as I hoped it would. Soaring aromatics, bright acids and mid-weight structure give the 2016 a super-classic feel. Clearly, the 2016 is very primary today, with plenty of bright red and purplish berry fruit. More than that, though, the 2016 pulses with energy and simply exceptional balance. Don't miss it! (AG)" (10/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 ZD "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve designation, which spent 34 months in American oak, is a bigger, richer, fuller-throttle wine, with a denser purple color, slightly more alcohol (14.7%), nicely integrated American wood, loads of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, and a well-textured, thick, juicy mouthfeel and finish. (RP)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Quivet "Kenefick Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Mike Smith launched Quivet Cellars with partners Duane Mason, John Brooks III, and Paul Mason with the goal of making high-quality, small-production Napa wines. They are known for their single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon made in a lush, hedonistic style that still delivers nuance and elegance. The fruit is sourced from a very steep, hand-terraced vineyard in the Mayacamas Mountains. Because of their small distribution, these wines are hard to come by, so snatch them up when you get the chance!
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 97WE, 96VN, 95JS, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a mind-blowingly gorgeous nose that defies words: warm cassis, red roses, sandalwood, Indian spices, crushed rocks, menthol and iron ore with waft of lilacs and truffles. Medium to full-bodied with a rock-solid frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, it finishes incredibly long and remains incredibly provocative. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Scarecrow Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1990 Girard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. According to Robert Parker: "A terrific offering from Girard. The 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon-Estate exhibits a saturated, opaque, dark ruby/purple color, an unevolved, but gloriously ripe, rich nose of cassis fruit and vanillin, and rich, full-bodied, tannic, backward flavors that reveal superb concentration and firm tannin. Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with tantalizing notions of violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf and fragrant earth with a core of warm cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea and cedar chest. The palate is full-bodied and super concentrated yet possesses great energy with vibrant red and black fruits and loads of mineral accents, framed by very ripe, super fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long with the most incredible perfume. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Rivers-Marie Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JD, 94VN). Vinous: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is an outrageously beautiful wine. Readers who aren't able to find the vineyard designates won't be giving up in indulging in this hedonistic, voluptuous Cabernet from proprietors Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh. Layers of blackberry jam, chocolate, cloves and licorice build as this sumptuous Cabernet shows off its curves. The 2018 is not exactly subtle, but it sure is gorgeous. I loved it. (AG)" (01/2021)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 99RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Starting with the 2012 The Bard, this incredible blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot comes from a number of great sites including To Kalon, Dr. Crane, Fortuna, and Weitz. It’s just now starting to show some maturity and has a wonderfully complex bouquet of blackcurrants, dried spices, chocolate, cedarwood, and smoke tobacco. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 99JS, 98RP, 98W&S, 97VN, 96WS, 95WE, 94CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Bello is a sensational effort from this estate that should be snatched up by drinkers and collectors. This saturated purple-hued beauty is legendary Monte Bello in the making and has a stunning yet primordial bouquet of crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, graphite, chocolate, and chalky minerality. Full-bodied, incredibly powerful, and one of the most concentrated versions of this cuvée ever made (I've had most of them), it needs a solid decade of bottle age and will have 50-60 years of overall longevity. Despite the long drinking window, it offers plenty of pleasure even today." (08/2020)

Starting Bid: $147.86

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 94RP, 94WE, 93VN, 92JS). Decanter: "The justly admired Oakville winery has been a Napa Valley fixture since 1979, when it was founded by the late Gil Nickel. From the outset the winemaker has been Dirk Hampson, though today he keeps a knowing eye on the winery’s young winemaking team. But his steady presence, as well as that of the Nickel family, has ensured a consistency of style over the decades. Today all wines are estate-grown, and the vineyards are close to Martha’s Vineyard and other iconic sites. This wine is aged for 17 months in more than 80% new oak, and is always rich and polished."
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 96W&S, 94JS, 94VN, 92WE, 92WS). Decanter: "Dried mulberry, brick dust and rosemary aromas intertwine with Monte Bello’s signature sweet n’ sour scent. Seamless, pure and plump on the palate, with flavours of dried blueberry, fig and dried cherry. The finish is firm and rustic, ending with notes of ash, cocoa powder and cherry skins. Still in its youth, but beginning to reveal itself. (ML)" (01/2021)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Bevan "Wildfoote Vixen Block" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (97WS, 95RP, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "A remarkably seductive effort, delightfully creamy and chocolaty, plush and layered, with a firm, rich, potent core of dense, earth-laced currant and blackberry flavors. Firm cedary oak is evident, gliding along gracefully on the finish. *Highly Recommended* (JL)" (05/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 1984 Ridge Vineyards "York Creek" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is rich, structured Cab from an iconic winery and an outstanding vintage. In 1984, winemaker Paul Draper bottled the wine several months earlier than usual to capture the fruit and to create a balance with the wine's other components. He also increased the proportion of new oak, giving the wine a seductively sumptuous quality. A great wine from a Cabernet master.
Starting Bid: $117.00

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JG, 92JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (RP)" (08/1994)
Starting Bid: $1,070.00

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 100VN, 97JD, 95JG). Vinous: "I have been fortunate to drink the 1974 Monte Bello three times in the last year. I served this bottle, from my cellar, blind to a group of hard-core Francophiles at the end of a dinner that showcased the best of Burgundy and Bordeaux. Every person in the room thought the wine was Bordeaux. No one came close to guessing California, much less identifying the age of the wine or the vintage. When the 1974 Monte Bello was revealed, there was only silence at the table. Tasted from a perfect bottle, the 1974 remains almost unnaturally deep, powerful and intense. It is an eternal wine whose life will only be determined by how well corks hold up. Put simply, the 1974 Monte Bello is one of the greatest and most singular wines I have ever tasted from any region in the world. (AG)" (07/2016)
Starting Bid: $1,950.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Rivers-Marie Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 91WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a gorgeous entry-level wine. This is a fabulous appellation-level wine. Don't miss it. (AG)" (03/2018)

The wine is dense purple and shows good, sweet blackcurrant fruit along with some notes of pen ink and camphor, followed by a medium to full-bodied, silky textured, opulent and luscious wine. (RP)" (12/2015)
