93 points James Suckling: "Dried apple and pineapple with hints of coconut, steel and some flint. Full-bodied and tight with intensity and power. This will open nicely with bottle age. Try after 2022." (07/2021) 92 points Vinous: "The 2019 Chardonnay is a unique wine, as it includes a fair amount of Viognier that adds pretty floral and tropical overtones. Apricot, mint, tangerine oil, chamomile and dried flowers all open nicely in the glass. (AG)" (01/2021)

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "As with many cuvées here, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Crossfire Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard is the best in the lineup. Smoked tobacco, chocolate, damp earth, and ripe black fruits all define the bouquet, and this beauty is full-bodied, has a round, supple, layered mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a great finish. Drink this sexy, round, complex, satisfying 2019 over the coming 15+ years." 95 points James Suckling: "This just takes off at the finish, with bright, tangy acidity and plenty of minerality. Full-bodied and so tangy and energetic. Fantastic chardonnay. Hints of aniseed and flint. Grows in the glass. Delicious now, but will age beautifully." (03/2022) 94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Chardonnay Estate sports a medium gold hue to go with a gorgeous nose of white peach, stone fruits, honeysuckle, and toasted bread. Beautifully balanced, elegant, and with plenty of sweet fruit and great acidity, this is a killer Chardonnay I'd be ...

93 points Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Cuvee Alis Estate Vineyard is a blend of 51% Grenache, 19% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre, 12% Petite Sirah and 1% Viognier. The nose sings of preserved Morello cherries, mulberries, fruitcake and Chinese five spice with touches of potpourri, black pepper and licorice. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited, the palate provides a solid structure of firm, velvety tannins and tons of freshness to lift all that opulent fruit to a very long, spicy finish. 92 points James Suckling: " Tart red fruit on the nose with ripe strawberries and cherries. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins and outstanding balance. The palate displays dusty red fruit with dried flowers and mineral notes on the finish." (03/2024) 92 points Vinous: "The 2022 Pinot Noir Un is remarkably pretty, with a lifted blend of dusty rose and violet pastille accentuating dried strawberries. This model of purity is lifted and refined with crisp red and blue fruits swirling across a stream of brisk acidity. The 2022 leaves a coating of fine...

92 points Vinous: "The 2020 Implico Laura's Vineyard is impossible to ignore as mentholated herbs and graphite give way to hints of white pepper, blackberries and the slightest tinge of wood smoke. Silky and round, it sweeps across the palate with ripe red and black fruits, all guided by juicy acidity as saline mineral underpinnings add lovely complexity. A coating of fine tannins mingles with hints of sour citrus, making for a structured yet fresh finale as the 2020 finishes with admirable length and concentration. Boutique winery Vinoce continues to impress. Little surprise when you consider their wines are made by much-heralded winemaker Keith Emerson of Vineyard 29! Emerson crafts some of the most highly sought-after cult Cabs in the valley from St. Helena fruit at Vineyard 29, including wines rated at 100-points by Robert Parker himself. Considering that pedigree, Vinoce's St. Helena Cab is very well priced at the regular $60 SRP, but at our Insider's Advantage price of over 50% off, it's just plain ridiculous.

97 points Decanter: "Immediately evokes Old World style on the nose, with a bouquet of mushrooms, arboreal earth and a tinge of black fruit, but on the palate, a generous helping of dried currant, figs and plums. Atypical for a varietal Cabernet Franc in that the pyrazine note is next to nonexistent. But there is a freshness and acid backbone that threads beautifully through a well-balanced and delightful wine. (JG)" (02/2024)

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The appellation 2018 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which includes 4% Merlot, reveals a ruby/purple hue as well as brilliant notes of ripe cassis, darker currants, woodsmoke, graphite, and tobacco. Coming from a mix of sites and aged in 38% new French oak, it's flawlessly balanced, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's just another impeccably made wine from this talented team that's well worth your time and money. " (07/2022) 94 points Wine & Spirits: "This is, in a sense, the opposite of a showstopper. 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "An inviting floral note in the aroma leads to beautiful cherry and berry flavors and an agreeable, moderately tannic texture in this full-bodied but approachable wine. It shows more complexity with each sip, and ends with a lingering finish. Best from 2026-2036." K&L Notes: The wines of Beau Vigne are now crafted cult winemaker Julien Fayard. 97 points Vinous: "This is now the third opportunity I have had to review the utterly stunning 2019 Syrah SJR Vineyard - a wine that is actually showing better than when I first tasted it. Initially more reticent and Burgundian, this polished Syrah was aged in 60% new French oak before bottling. The wine shows beautiful red rose petals, nori, smoldering stones and orange blossom. The palate is exceedingly elegant with silky tannins and a light dusting of white pepper and salinity. Ripe strawberry, pomegranate seed and orange rind flavors combine with wet...

It fermented at a controlled temperature, never exceeding 24 degrees Celsius, with soft pumping over and matured in French barriques for 24 months. This has remarkable freshness and harmony. We select ideal vineyard sites and apply both art and science in our winemaking. It was not barrel aged, just steel tanks and concrete eggs for 10 months, this shows the character or, better, Colomé's vision of its high-altitude terroir in the middle of the Andes. This is a wine full of ripe, red fruits, deep flavors, and dense textures accompanied by tense acidity that marks the character of this tremendous high-altitude wine." 95 points Decanter: "The 2022 Chardonnay is a younger vine old Wente clone, and older vine clone 4, the California Chardonnay clone. Variability in cluster size and weight gives a nice texture to the Chardonnay. The "black chardonnay" technique helps the wine become ageable early, aged on fine lees, 25% new barriques, 7.5 months. A gorgeous example of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay that leans into lemon curd and leans away from a reductive style honeyed ginger spices the wine's finish just a touch. The Buselli Estate Oakville Cab is the definition of a hidden gem! After arriving in San Franciso in 1961, Italian immigrants Rosalia and Italo Buselli bought a small plot of land in the eastern hills of Oakville in 1988. In 1990 they planted 4 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is directly adjacent to Rudd Estate and also neighbors Dalla Valle, David Ramey's Pedregal Vineyard and Tierra Roja Vineyard. It's about as prime of a location as one could wish for in Napa Valley. For several decades the Buselli family farmed their vines and continued sup...
