93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Most Bordeaux-style white wines from Washington are Sauvignon Blanc heavy. This one flips the script, along with a heavy dose of Muscadelle that a few wineries in the state are working with. The aromas bring immediate appeal, with notes of whole orange, fig, herb and lees. A full-feeling, textured, flavorful palate follows, redolent with fig flavors. A lingering finish caps it off. It's glorious with a long life ahead of it. Hard to keep your hands off now but will be best after 2023. *Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2020* (SS)" ...

2018 Calera Central Coast Chardonnay (Elsewhere $20+) (Elsewhere $20+)
Top Pick!
92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Aromas of baked peach, nectarine and butternut squash in lemon-butter sauce make for a warm and approachable nose in this bottling. There’s a firm, lemony grip when the wine hits the palate, and then it broadens to pome fruit, with zesty citrus flavors popping into the finish. (MK)" (10/2021) K&L Notes: A perennial favorite here at K&L, and one of the finest values in Chardonnay anywhere on the planet! Grapes for this Chardonnay are sourced from a number of top vineyards across the central coast: Bien Nacido, Pedregal, Zaba...

93 points Wine Spectator: "The 2018 vintage is elegant, yet powerful and displays classic Hyde Vineyard traits of delicate white flowers, tangerine zest, and lemon cream. On the palate the wine is citrus-driven with orange and lemon flavors along with hints of toasted almond and vanilla. The wine has great acidity that leaves a white chalk/mineral note on the very long finish. (KM)" (04/2021) 90 points Wine & Spirits: "There’s intensity of fruit in this wine, a concentration of flavor that makes it feel generous, even as it is savory and dry. Reductive...

95 points Decanter: "A powerful aroma of white flowers, peach, and hints of honey. Rounded and opulent with honeyed conference pear, and a nicely textured, grippy finish. (DWWA)" (07/2021) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "A fruit-powered wine, this is loaded with apple, melon and pear, and dusted with a dash of white pepper. A suggestion of fresh tarragon adds depth, though taken as a whole it's a wide-open, generous wine that should be enjoyed over the next couple of years. (PG)" (12/2019)

93 points Vinous: "The 2018 Chardonnay is a very pretty, nuanced wine that deftly balances textural richness and vibrancy. Lemon peel, orchard fruit, mint and bright floral notes are finely sculpted in this classy, wonderfully polished Chardonnay from Freemark Abbey." 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a tight, structured and youthful white wine, which develops nuance and complexity in the glass. Textured with a presence of toasted oak, it is rich and layered, opulently appealing in pear, stone fruit and vanilla. (VB)" 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "These wi...

2018 Domaine Gérard Tremblay Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudésir" (Previously $50) (Previously $50)
Top Pick!
90 points Vinous: "The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a slightly waxy, resinous nose that needs some encouragement from the glass. Eventually it offers grilled walnut and smoky notes. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture on the entry, and lightly spiced, revealing touches of ginger and white pepper toward a finish that just needs a little more nervosité. Château Revelette is an organically-certified, 30 hectare estate run by German transplant Peter Fisher in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence AOC. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in their traditional but modernly equipped cellar. Peter's pride and joy are his Tete de Cuvee wines "Le Grand Blanc" and "Le Grand Rouge." Both are actually declassified in the region, since they do not follow the traditional blends of Coteaux d'Aix. Le Grand Rouge is predominantly Syrah with Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Grenache and Pinot Noir finishing the blend. It is ...

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "I loved the 2018 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County. This beauty has terrific notes of spiced orchard fruits, salted citrus, mint, and sappy herbs as well as a clean, medium-bodied, racy style on the palate." (08/2020) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Tightly woven and sharp on the nose, this bottling, which sources from owner John Wagner's multiple vineyards across the region, offers aromas of grapefruit peel and Meyer lemon pith. There's a hint of dairy on the palate, where crisp Asian pear and sea-salt flavors lead into a toasty brio...

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Toasty aromas of fine grained oak join with Asian pear, yellow rose and grapefruit pith on the nose of this bottling. The palate shows plenty of grippy texture, offering tangerine peel, seared apple flesh, a pinch of salt and an oaky tightness. This affordable series from the Eden Rift team offers great value with the same level of winemaking. (MK)" (10/2020) 90 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Pretty apple, spice, and lemon notes emerge from the 2018 Chardonnay Central Coast. It's impressive on the palate, offering medium-bodied richne...

This wine hovers somewhere between a rosé and an orange wine. The Pinot Gris is given some extended skin contact and the coppery, orange-pink hue is obtained. The wine is then fermented in a mix of amphorae and neutral oak. It's a little more textured and complex than your average rosé, yet a little less oxidative and funky than your average orange wine...for me it's right in the sweet spot, a thoroughly delicious and enthralling wine. 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The expressive and aromatic 2018 Blanco Edad Media is a blend of 60% Chardonnay, 30% Chenin Blanc and 10% Sauvignon Blanc that had a flinty and faintly reductive nose that I loved. The wine developed a thin layer of yeasts, and the effect is very subtle but it lifts the wine up and does not take over its character. The palate was austere and mineral, with some chalky tannins and a supple, tasty finish. 5,500 bottles were filled in February 2019." (10/2019) 93 points Vinous: "Bright medium yellow. Bracing aromas...

95 points James Suckling: "Impressive aromas of flint and chalk here with a floral edge, as well as sliced cucumber and pears. The palate has a very crisp, restrained and detailed feel with apples, pears and stones. Pastry and nutmeg to close. From biodynamically grown grapes." (09/2019) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Slightly flinty reduction and subtle tangerine vie for attention on the nose. The palate, on the other hand, has decided to put the full force of concentrated, pure fruit center stage. There is intensity and ripeness, countered by aromatic, ...

(09/2019) 93 points John Gilman: "The 2018 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs from Weingut Dr. Loosen comes in at a very refined 12.5 percent octane in this ripe vintage. 96 points James Suckling: "Such striking aromas of dried mangoes, white peaches, white pepper and crushed stones here, as well as wild herbs and a yellow-citrus edge. 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From 25- to 50-year-old vines on stony Portlandian marl soils in a south- to southwest-facing vineyard in Les Champs de Cris, the 2018 Pouilly Fumé Aubaine opens with a pure, fresh, floral and smoky bouquet of crushed stones and delicate fruit. Intense, vital and salty on the palate, with persistent grip and lingering salinity, this is a fascinatingly elegant, round and finessed Pouilly with a long, intense and floral finish. The 2018 is quite powerful but already drinks pretty well. (SR) 91+" (03/2021) 90-91 p...
