95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese is intense, fresh and pure on the deep and complex yet highly refined, flinty, aromatic and tropical nose. Noble on the palate, this is a dense yet subtle, buoyant and piquant Auslese with a highly refined raisin aroma and perfectly balanced sweetness, thanks to its delicately racy acidity and lightness. This is a beautifully digestible Auslese. 7.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 18 20 in June 2020. 2019 is a great vintage for this tiny icon producer in Graach. Christoph an...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese #6 Mosel (94JG). John Gilman: "I had not tasted this lovely wine since March of 2006, when I was at the estate to taste through the entire range of 2005ers. The wine is now quite closed, but seems to me even longer and potentially more complex than when I tasted it in its infancy, as it offers up a superb blend of pear, apple, bee pollen, slate, spring flowers and incipient notes of petrol. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and beautifully reserved today, with a rock solid core of fruit, effortless balance, bright acids and stunning length and grip on the nascently complex and very intense finish. This should prove to be a stellar bottle in the fullness of time." (07/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Willi Schaefer Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese #6 Mosel. On this iconic estate, importer Terry Theise writes: "For many tasters, these are the Ne Plus Ultra of Mosel wine, and they have attracted an almost religious following. Thus my most frustrating agency, as there is never enough wine. It is hard to put a finger on exactly what it is that makes these wines so precious. There is a candor about them that is quite disarming. They are polished too, but not brashly so. They are careful to delineate their vineyard characteristics, and they offer fruit of sublime purity. They are utterly soaring in flavor yet not without weight. What many of you seem to have warmed to is their clarity, precision and beauty of fruit, so maybe I’ll leave it at that!"

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2003 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel (94WS), 1-bottle of 2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel (95VN, 95WS, 94JG, (93-94RP), 94WE), 1-bottle of 2006 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Gold Capsule Auslese (95WS, (93-94RP)), and 2-bottles of 2006 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel (95WS, 94W&S, (92-93RP), 92ST, 92WE). Of the 2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel, Vinous writes: "Pale golden yellow. Restrained aromas of yellow plum, quince jelly and acacia honey, with a hint of spicy botrytis. Pure, rich and complex on the palate, with subtle nut oil and brown spice notes giving a lightness to the creamy custard flavor. The lift and delicacy persist on the bright, stylish, succulent and very long finish. (JP)" (01/2007)

Bid on this 8-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2004 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese * Mosel (94RP, 91WS), 2-bottles of 2004 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese * Mosel (93WS, 90RP), and 4-bottles of 2005 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese * Mosel (95WS, 91ST, 90RP). Of the 2005 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese * Mosel, Wine Spectator writes: "Beautifully balanced and elegant, this offers the richness of 2005 and the raciness of Mosel Riesling. There are layers of lime, peach, vanilla cream and mineral, and the profile changes like a chameleon. A well-integrated structure brings vivacity and length. Drink now through 2020. *Highly Recommended* (BS)" (02/2007)
