94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Hexameter checks in as 47% Cabernet Franc, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 12% Merlot that was brought up in 60% new French oak. It has a terrific, spicy, complex style in its black raspberry and cassis fruits as well as notes of toasted bread, flowery incense, spice, and crushed flowers. Full-bodied, rich, and beautifully concentrated, it shows nicely integrated acidity, building tannins, and a great finish." 94 points Vinous: "The 2020 Cabernet Franc is brilliant and beautifully focused. Dazzling red cherry, mint and rose petal. Tasted next to the Cabernet Franc Sans Soufre, this has more focus and brightness. Heat spikes in 2020 seem to have dialed up the fruit and baked out some of the more vegetal Franc notes, but there is still tons of varietal character. (AG)" (11/2021)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Kapcsandy "Rapszodia" Yountville Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96JS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great effort and a showcase for Cabernet Franc is the 2012 Rapszodia. This is a blend of 90% Cabernet Franc from the heavy clay soils of their vineyard blended with 10% Merlot aged in 100% new French oak for 20 months and bottled without filtration. A stunning nose of acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur and blackberry is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine that’s amazingly intense, rich and concentrated, but surprisingly light on its feet weight-wise. The wine is full-bodied, but stunningly ethereal and sublime. This is a stunner, and a great example of what Cabernet Franc can do from a terrific terroir, great winemaking and élevage. Sadly, only 175 cases were produced. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Realm "The Falstaff" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "This full-bodied red combines ripe, rich layers of spice, plum and black cherry. Slow to unfold, but well-balanced, elegant and focused, ending with fine-grained tannins. (JL)" (10/2010)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Paul Hobbs "Nathan Coombs Estate" Coombsville Cabernet Franc (97CG, 97RP, 96JS, 96VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Franc Nathan Coombs Estate is deep garnet-purple colored and a little youthfully mute, opening out to reveal redcurrant jelly, kirsch and blackberry preserves plus hints of pencil shavings, cigar box and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, it has a rich, solid frame of grainy tannins and plenty of freshness lifting the red and black fruit to a long savory finish. (LPB)" (10/2018)
