Eladio Pineiro is an artist. His approach to winemaking is incredibly creative and unusual. The wine spending 15 months with lees aging. This not unusual for Albarino but what is it that this wine spent 3 months aging on the less of the 2014 and 3 months aging on the lees of the 2016. I am still trying to figure out the math on that! After that it is bottled where it will age for an additional two years before release. This shows the aging potential of Albarino. The nose almost suggests old Riesling.
