Corsica is one of the great, off-the-radar regions for wine production. The vineyards for Petroni date back to 1885 and are surrounded by the Corsican mountains to the west and the Mediterranean to the east. The property is now in the hands of brothers Jacques and Francois Ramazotti. Like most classic rosés of this region, it is a blend of 50% Niellucciu, 35% Sciaccarellu, and 15% Grenache. How to describe this Corsican rosé? It is one of the finest of its kind with notes of nectarine, peach blossom, and white flowers. It is succulent with wonderful acid...

Domaine Jacourette lies in the shadow of the Montagne-Ste-Victoire just east of Aix-en-Provence. Vigneron Helene Dragon took over winemaking duties more than two decades ago, and masterfully crafts one of our freshest and most sought after rosés year-after-year. The vines are planted at 300 meters of elevation atop decomposing limestone and clay - the most desirable soils in the region. Made primarily of Syrah and Grenache, a splash of Rolle (Vermentino) and Cinsault round out the profile. We once carried this as a private label under the name Vignoble D...

Domaine de la Colombe is based in the village of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, located at elevations between 900 and 1,300 feet. The terroir includes clay-limestone soils in combination with sandier soils in the valley. The higher elevations combined with full sun exposure allow for full ripeness without sacrificing acidic balance and texture. It's a classic patio wine for aperitifs or lightly grilled seafood dishes.

The winegrowing estate of Chateau les Valentines is more than a century old. The estate originally brought their grapes to the local cooperative, but when Gilles and Pascale Pons took over in 1997, they decided to make their own wine. They built a modern winery and called the domaine "Les Valentines" after their children, Valentin and Clémentine. Château les Valentines now covers approximately 100 acres. The "Le Caprice de Clémentine" is part of the second range of wines coming from the estate. Moderately priced, it is a high quality Côtes de Provence ma...

This rosé from Domaine de la Chapelle Saint Victor AOP Coteaux d'Aix en Provence is made from a Mediterranean blend of Grenache and Cinsault, enhanced with a touch of Syrah (50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 20% Syrah). Winery note: "Light pink in color, with violet shades, this wine possesses a memorable and complex aroma. A lively wine that is smooth and possessing a certain sweetness. Very fruity, this rosé is particularly well suited as an aperitif or with salads and vegetable dishes."

The Union de Vignerons de l'Île de Beauté (UVIB) is an association of growers on the island of Corsica based near the town of Aléria. Their Terra Santa Rosé is 100% Sciaccarellu, a grape native to the island. It is pink with crisp berry fruit, notes of white raspberry and strawberry. The beauty of Corsican rosés is the intensity and texture of the wines. Discover the region with this terrific value.

A warm weather superstar, this is 100% Vermentino. Domaine Petroni lies on the eastern shore of Corsica near Lake Diane, one of the great sources for oysters and mussels on the island. Founded in 1885 and run by the Ramazotti brothers, the vineyards are planted on sandy and clay soils overlooking the Mediterranean. Their rosé was one of our great success stories this year, but the white and red have emerged as house favorites as well.

92 points Decanter: "Big, soft supple black damson fruit. Fresh, vibrant acidity with some dry oak, and supple wild black damsons, a hint of blackberries. Tart, smoky layers of green dry herbs. Well-managed tannin and good grip on the finish. " (02/2024)

The Château's name comes from it's history as a site for stag hunting for the 16th century court of King Francis I. This wine is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Tibouren.

92 points Vinous: "Pale and tender pink in the glass, the 2023 Rosé rushes the mouth with lively, almost spritzy acidity. Generous and tropical in its aromatics and flavors, the mix of tart pineapple, chamomile, white cherry, mint and salty sea spray is particularly enticing. What strikes me most about the 2023 is its balance. The finish is quite long - this is everything I want from Provençal Rosé. (BN)" (05/2024) 90 points Jeb Dunnuck: "I always love the rosé from this estate in Aix En Provence. Their 2023 Coteaux D'Aix En Provence Rosé is largely Sy...

Agnes Cade and her father, Henri Gaussen, cultivate the 14 sunny hectares of Château de la Noblesse, an estate that has been in their family for generations. Their zesty rosé is a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault, and makes a great companion to spicy, saffron-infused dishes. Try it with a Spanish paella for the perfect summer meal.

92 points Wine Spectator: "A smoky rosé, with an alluring mix of fruit and earth notes. Shows a lot of presence, depth and complexity, with a streak of saline in tandem with red currant– and clementine-laced acidity. A characterful wine that vibrates with energy and harmony. Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2027." (06/2024) K&L Notes: This rosé comes from a handful of parcels that total seven hectares of vineyards planted in clay and limestone soils, on a gentle north-northwest-facing slope. Grenache-dominated, with smaller percentag...

90 points Decanter: "Peyrassol is a historic Provence estate, with 850 hectares, organically farmed, at the foothills of the Massif des Maures. This new addition to Majestic's rosé line-up stands out for the value it offers. It has all the delicacy and freshness you expect from a Provence rosé, but at the same time is lively and expressive, with a good weight of juicy citrus and white currant fruit. Extremely moreish.(AW)" (04/2024) 90 points Vinous: "Deep, glistening amber-pink in the glass, the 2023 Rosé Les Commandeurs is expressive and especially p...

Agnés and her father Henri Gaussen cultivate the vineyards of the Château de la Noblesse as their ancestors have done for five generations. The vines are located around the 18th-century castle. Their Bandol blanc is a blend of Clairette, Ugni Blanc and Vermentino from their 14-hectare estate vineyard located in the basin of Le Beausset, where it benefits from maximum sunshine and very little rain.

Mirabeau has entered the gin game with a rose gin. Crafted in a traditional copper still, with a 24-hour maceration of seven core botanicals in a grape-based neutral spirit, with a small addition of Mirabeau rosé wine. Five more Riviera-inspired botanicals are suspended in a basket for the vapors to pass through and take on further flavor. Chateau Pradeaux has been in the Portalis family since 1752. Ranking alongside the greats of Bandol like Tempier and Pibarnon, Pradeaux is one of the benchmarks for the region. The estate sits in the village of Saint Cyr-sur-Mer between Marseilles and Toulon. Bandol is a region famous for its Mourvedre, a variety known for it savory flavors and chewy tannins. One of the main reasons Mourvedre is successful in the Mediterranean is that the grape is happiest when it has a view of the water, and Pradeaux has a great one. Up in the hills overlooking the...

91 points Wine Spectator: "A distinctive, vibrant rosé, offering notes of tangerine zest, mango and orchard fruit cut with salt and mineral accents, plus flecks of spices and vanilla cream on the rich palate. This delicious version's suppleness is neatly reined in by bitter tannins on the grippy, clean and long finish. Tibouren and Grenache. (KB)" (07/2023) K&L Notes: The Clos Cibonne draws its name from Jean-Baptiste de Cibon, captain of Louis XVI's Royal navy and first owner of the vineyard. After his death in 1797, the property was sold to the Roux ...

This historic estate, situated in the hills just south of Aix-en-Provence, has been in the hands of the Rougier family for two centuries and holds a virtual monopoly on the appellation of Palette. The Blanc is composed primarily of Clairette, with some Grenache Blanc and other local varieties. The white is fermented in small foudres and is then racked into barriques and left on the lees for one year. As it does not undergo malolactic fermentation (thanks to the very cool cellars of this historic chateau) the wine also exhibits great natural acidity. This...

Medium to full-bodied, round and sappy, it’s well structured with a phenolic, gastronomic bitterness, a fleshy core of fruit and a long, penetrating, iodine-tinged finish. Chateau Malherbe is located near the seaside village of La Londe les Maure near the historic Bragancon Fort, the former summer house of the presidents of France. The vines, just meters away from the Mediterranean, are older vines planted over clay-schist soils. The vineyards have been farmed organically since the 1960s, but were recently Demeter certified biodynamic. Wine consultant Philippe Pacalet (famed Bourgogne vigneron and formerly of DRC) is the consulting winemaker working alongside Jean Laburthe who handles the daily operations. The rouge is...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine de Trevallon IGP Alpilles (92JD, 92RP). Wine Advocate: "A step behind the gorgeous 2010, the 2011 Alpilles offers an upfront, perfumed and complex style in its garrigue, saddle leather, lavender and assorted red berry fruit. Possessing some brett, it's a full-bodied, full-flavored and character filled effort that has sweet tannin and terrific length. (JD)" (01/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine de Trevallon Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhône. Towering above the picturesque villages of Saint Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux de Provence, the wind-swept Alpilles mountains, with their carved, tooth-like peaks, form a solid barrier between the Camargue to the south and Avignon to the north. Domaine de Trévallon, is by far the most famous and is the standard bearer for the region. There is no person that has done more to elevate the quality and prestige of the wines around Les Baux than Eloi Dürrbach who began planting vines at the base of this mountain, in the three "valleys" (from whence the estate gets its name) in 1973. He chose to plant Syrah, because of the northern exposure of his vineyards and Cabernet Sauvignon due to the high level of chalk in the soil.

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2020 Les Mesclances "Cuvée Faustine" Côtes de Provence Rosé. Jancis Robinson: " Rose petal, peach and raspberry – a sophisticated and ambitious nose. Starting Bid: $110.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine de Trevallon Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhône. From Domaine de Trevallon comes one of the greatest and most unique wines of France. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and syrah, this wine balances unbridled richness with power and length. The red wine is a blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon and 50% syrah harvested and vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in small-sized stainless steel vats and in wood, which is used to carry out the "pigeage" or punching the cap with feet. Vatting lasts 2 to 3 weeks without temperature control and without yeasting. The wine is then aged for two years in small oak barrels. 2004 shows a return to a more classic vintage for Trévallon's red. Clean, delineated structure resulting from perfectly ripe stems provides ample ripe tannin levels to back up the intense fruit.
