98 points James Suckling: "This is really phenomenal with such compact fruit and mineral, lemon and spice character. It’s full-bodied yet so refined and polished. It goes on for days. Glorious! Will be released by 2024. Drink on release or hold." (07/2019) 98 points Vinous: "Luminous straw. Penetrating nuances of lime and guava join the lemon verbena, jasmine, mineral and white stone fruit aromas on the knockout, captivating nose. Then dense, complex and multilayered, offering profound flavors of fresh citrus fruit, sweet spices and talcum powder. Clos...

96 points James Suckling: "This is really exciting. I can't believe the palate of lemon, oyster shell, stone and apple. Full-bodied, dry and exciting. It goes on for minutes. Such grandeur and complexity." (09/2015) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The beeswax lift of mature Riesling shows immediately on the heady nose of this wine that's also imbued with baked-pear ripeness. With more air, notes of dark fir honey combine with wet chalk. The bone-dry palate adds in candied-lemon brightness that lends dynamism and drive. This is concentrated, lemony and elix...

98 points James Suckling: "At first deep, dark and mysterious. Just like the Nikolaihof cellar, where this dry riesling spent 16 years in barrel. Then, a minty freshness develops that leaps out of the glass at you. By some miracle, it manages to taste ancient and lively at once. The finish is very long with great herbal complexity. From biodynamically grown grapes. Demeter certified. Drink or hold." (09/2018) 97 points Wine Enthusiast: "A teasing, flinty whiff of reduction beckons from the glass before the taut, fresh, poised but juicy palate hits you....

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese is intense, fresh and pure on the deep and complex yet highly refined, flinty, aromatic and tropical nose. Noble on the palate, this is a dense yet subtle, buoyant and piquant Auslese with a highly refined raisin aroma and perfectly balanced sweetness, thanks to its delicately racy acidity and lightness. This is a beautifully digestible Auslese. 7.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 18 20 in June 2020. 2019 is a great vintage for this tiny icon producer in Graach. Christoph an...

99 points James Suckling: "Almost absurdly fresh for its age. The spicy and mineral complexity is just beginning to emerge from the cloak of ripe tree fruits. This is as graceful as it is concentrated and as pristine as it is powerful. The best vintage of this wine so far released and the shining star of the vintage. Delicious now, but probably has a couple of decades ahead of it if you can resist its fascination now." (05/2018) 95 points Decanter: "Located mid-slope on the famed south-facing Schoenenbourg grand cru, Schoelhammer consists of just 30 ro...

99 points James Suckling: "A stunning wine with ethereal aromas of sliced apple, sliced pear and mineral character. Flowers and honeysuckle too. Full-bodied, very tight and dense. It goes so deep and beautiful. Bright and tangy acidity. Has the depth of a great vintage of grand cru Burgundy but is so Clos Ste. Hune in character. Muscularly feminine and breathtaking." (09/2015) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Riesling Clos Ste Hune is clear and intense on the concentrated nose, offering ripe white-fruit aromas. On the palate, this is ...

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese #19 Goldkapsel Auction Mosel. This wine is a small production bottling with the unique AP #19 that was designated to be sold at the VDP auction in Germany. Anna Lee C. Iijima of Wine Enthusiast writes: "Within the Mosel, [June] Rodil says that Egon Müller exemplifies the highest tier of Riesling in the world, staying true to the off-dry style of the Saar, regardless of shifting trends for dry or sweet wines."
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this bottle of 1975 Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Spätlese Mosel. This Mosel estate has been in the hands of the same family since 1797, and the Scharzhofberger is thought to be one of the oldest vineyards sites in Germany having been originally planted by the Romans.
Starting Bid: $245.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Weinbach "Cuvée Ste. Catherine L'Inédit!" Schlossberg Riesling Alsace (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Riesling Schlossberg Cuvée Ste Catherine L'Inédit! is a special selection from late harvested grapes from old vines in the very center of the Schlossberg. Made for the first time in 1998 and with a good portion of overripe and botrytis grapes, it always was on the border between medium-dry and medium-sweet, but far away from a Vendange Tardive style. Picked on September 28, the 2015 contains only a small portion of botrytis. It opens with a super clear and ripe, but also fresh and flinty flavored Riesling bouquet that displays ripe raisin, but also refreshing lemon and coolish stony/flinty flavors. (SR)" (02/2017)
