98 points James Suckling: "This is really phenomenal with such compact fruit and mineral, lemon and spice character. It’s full-bodied yet so refined and polished. It goes on for days. Glorious! Will be released by 2024. Drink on release or hold." (07/2019) 98 points Vinous: "Luminous straw. Penetrating nuances of lime and guava join the lemon verbena, jasmine, mineral and white stone fruit aromas on the knockout, captivating nose. Then dense, complex and multilayered, offering profound flavors of fresh citrus fruit, sweet spices and talcum powder. Clos...

98 points James Suckling: "At first deep, dark and mysterious. Just like the Nikolaihof cellar, where this dry riesling spent 16 years in barrel. Then, a minty freshness develops that leaps out of the glass at you. By some miracle, it manages to taste ancient and lively at once. The finish is very long with great herbal complexity. From biodynamically grown grapes. Demeter certified. Drink or hold." (09/2018) 97 points Wine Enthusiast: "A teasing, flinty whiff of reduction beckons from the glass before the taut, fresh, poised but juicy palate hits you....

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese is intense, fresh and pure on the deep and complex yet highly refined, flinty, aromatic and tropical nose. Noble on the palate, this is a dense yet subtle, buoyant and piquant Auslese with a highly refined raisin aroma and perfectly balanced sweetness, thanks to its delicately racy acidity and lightness. This is a beautifully digestible Auslese. 7.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 18 20 in June 2020. 2019 is a great vintage for this tiny icon producer in Graach. Christoph an...

99 points James Suckling: "Almost absurdly fresh for its age. The spicy and mineral complexity is just beginning to emerge from the cloak of ripe tree fruits. This is as graceful as it is concentrated and as pristine as it is powerful. The best vintage of this wine so far released and the shining star of the vintage. Delicious now, but probably has a couple of decades ahead of it if you can resist its fascination now." (05/2018) 95 points Decanter: "Located mid-slope on the famed south-facing Schoenenbourg grand cru, Schoelhammer consists of just 30 ro...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese #6 Mosel (94JG). John Gilman: "I had not tasted this lovely wine since March of 2006, when I was at the estate to taste through the entire range of 2005ers. The wine is now quite closed, but seems to me even longer and potentially more complex than when I tasted it in its infancy, as it offers up a superb blend of pear, apple, bee pollen, slate, spring flowers and incipient notes of petrol. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and beautifully reserved today, with a rock solid core of fruit, effortless balance, bright acids and stunning length and grip on the nascently complex and very intense finish. This should prove to be a stellar bottle in the fullness of time." (07/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Markus Molitor Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Mosel (92WS, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "This rich version is full of ripe quince and Gala apple flavors, with notes of white chocolate that carry through to the lush midpalate. Accents of golden raisin and apricot fill the finish, which is tinged with honey cream. (KM)" (12/2013)
