Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Domaine Joblot Givry 1er Cru "Clos du Cellier aux Moines". The second generation of the Jobolot family, Juliette Joblot, now farms 13.5 hectares in Givry, 9 of which are 1er cru. The vineyards are part of a three-mile natural amphitheater that provides shelter against the prevailing westerly winds. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1988 Serafin Père et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes has more richness and ripeness than the Gevrey-Chambertin, but the difference between the two in 1988 is not as apparent today as it may be in 3-4 years' time. Wines like this, which are backward and concentrated, often need several years to mature fully. (RP)" (12/1989)
