Impeccable Calvados from Domaine Dupont. The 1988 is soft and succulent showing a complex array of fresh apple and cooked apple with an otherwordly texture.

Bid on this bottle of 1988 Bruno Giacosa "Santo Stefano" Barbaresco Riserva. Vinous: "Lithe and ethereal on the palate, the 1988 is now fully mature, but also has just enough freshness to last for another few years if stored in a perfect cellar. Scents of dried cherry, menthol, worn-in leather, molasses and tobacco shape the lilting finish. Every bottle of the 1988 I have ever tasted in the US has been flawed. This bottle, from a European cellar, is at least sound. The 1988 is holding onto the last vestiges of life. It is also a rare miss from Bruno Giacosa in a decade that yielded so many truly memorable wines. (AG)" (03/2017)
Starting Bid: $645.00
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95WS, 94JG, 92BH, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "Ripe, generous, spicy, elegant and polished, with an opulent texture and flavors that are very long and complex. It just keeps giving and giving as it rolls out its plum, vanilla, raspberry and chocolate flavors. " (05/1991)
