Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Ferrand Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 96RP, 94ST, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "A brilliant Châteauneuf-du-Pape that oozes class and finesse, Bravay’s 2010 Domaine de Ferrand Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a traditionally made blend of close to 97% Grenache, with the remainder an assortment of varieties. Aged all in tank, it boasts a complex array of sweet red berry fruits, white pepper, wild flowers, and licorice that flows to a full-bodied, seamless, and elegantly put together wine that has beautiful concentration, incredible purity, and very fine, polished tannin that frame the finish. Lovers of traditionally made Châteauneuf-du-Pape should not miss this and it is the essence of Grenache when made in a more feminine, elegant style. It is certainly superb now, yet will be even better in 3-5 years, and shine for 15-20 years. " (09/2012)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96JD, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beaucastel has been on a terrific qualitative roll over the last four vintages, and the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape (which Francois Perrin feels is similar to the 1990, although I don’t see that as of yet) is a 15,000-case blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, 10% Counoise, and the balance split among the other permitted varietals of the appellation. This inky/ruby/purple-colored cuvee offers a classic Beaucastel bouquet of new saddle leather, cigar smoke, roasted herbs, black truffles, underbrush, and blackberry as well as cherry fruit. It is a superb, earthy expression of this Mourvedre-dominated cuvee. (RP)" (02/2004)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Clos du Caillou "Reserve les Clos du Caillou" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The largest scaled and most concentrated in the lineup is easily the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape La Reserve, which is 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre that was raised all in demi-muids. Just a flat out sensational bottle of wine, it offers tons of black currants, licorice, roasted meats and toasted spice aromas and flavors in a full-bodied, seamless, perfectly balanced style that’s drunk well since release. It’s great today, but has another decade or more of longevity. (JD)" (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $540.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (97JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Chimère is a selection of Mourvèdre made by the Maurel brothers of Clos Saint Jean, oenologist Philippe Cambie, and Sine Qua Non genius Manfred Krankl. I believe there’s a touch of Grenache in the blend, as well as some Clairette and other varieties, but the bulk of this cuvée comes from the famed la Crau lieu-dit and is brought up all in demi-muids. It offers a beautiful perfume of sweet kirsch and blueberry fruit intermixed with loads of licorice, sweet spice, violets, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, super intense, sweetly fruited, perfumed, and complex, it’s a gorgeous 2015 that does everything right." (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $655.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 95RP, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "I reviewed the 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape in Issue #1, and this bottle was consistent with that review. One of the top successes in the vintage, this goes from strength to strength with stunning aromatics and a blockbuster palate that delivers full bodied power, yet is light, perfectly balanced and incredibly long. I’m a huge fan and this should be a long lived Châteauneuf." (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Clos du Caillou "Les Quartz" Châteaunuef-du-Pape (97JD, 95RP, 95WS, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "In the same mold as the 2009, the 2007 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Quartz is an incredibly, sexy, Provençal, crazily perfumed beauty that could come from nowhere else. Lots of kirsch liqueur, blackberries, garrigue, licorice, and incense notes dominate the bouquet. Full-bodied, opulent, and powerful on the palate, it has sweet tannins, remarkable purity, and a great, great finish. It’s another tour de force from this estate that’s drinking at point today." (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Réserve des Deux Frères" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100JD, 100RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the wines of this incredible vintage is unquestionably the 300-case 2007 Châteauneuf du Pape Reserve des Deux Freres from the Usseglio brothers. A big bruiser of a wine that has a huge core of cassis and black currant fruit, it gets more and more elegant with time in the glass and offers complex notes of roasted meats, garrigue, beef blood, licorice and truffle. Made from 100% Grenache aged mostly in new barrels, it’s absorbed every trace of its elevage and is just a sensational Chateauneuf du Pape to drink over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99RP, 97JD, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More precise and focused than the more exuberant, sexy and rounded '00, the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul is borderline perfection (I seriously considered adding a point here) and a monumental Chateauneuf du Pape that is drinking at point. Kirsch, olive tapenade, roasted meats, tobacco and assorted mature Grenache characteristics give way to a full-bodied, massively endowed, concentrated, gorgeously layered wine that's just about as good as it gets. I kept coming back to this over the evening and it got better and better with air, so while fully mature, it's not going anywhere soon. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Raymond Usseglio "Cuvée Impériale - Vignes Centenaires" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99RP, 97JD, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for perfection, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Imperiale Vignes Centenaire is clearly the greatest wine I have ever tasted from Raymond Usseglio, even eclipsing their remarkable 2007. Don’t be surprised if it merits a three-digit score in five or six years. Somewhat closed, but bursting with potential, the wine is inky/purple to the rim and boasts abundant amounts of concentrated, jammy blackberry, kirsch, licorice, lavender, forest floor, white chocolate and a hint of truffles in its magnificent perfume. (RP)" (10/2012)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 97RP, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While I've always loved the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape, it was extremely controversial in its youth due to its exuberance and ripeness. Yet today, with the wine at maturity, all of that controversy has been put to bed and I know of no one contesting the beauty of this wine - the 2007 vintage in Chateauneuf du Pape will be the same. Looking at the 2003 vintage, Paul-Vincent told me that they started harvest on September 5, but quickly had to stop due to rain on the September 7. They waited for the vineyards to dry out and the last plots weren't brought in until October 4! As to the wine, this beautiful 2003 offers a kaleidoscope of kirsch liqueur, Asian spices, ground herbs, blackberries and incense. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Jasmin Côte-Rôtie. Domaine Jasmin remains a family run estate currently managed by Patrick Jasmin who took over from his father Robert in 1999. The winery is one of just few estates to blend the majority of its production from eight lieux-dits into one Côte-Rôtie bottling. According to the importer: "The flagship wine has always borne the floral perfume of its small amount of Viognier, and it deftly marries the elegance from such granitic sites as Coteaux de Tupin and Côte Blonde with the schist-derived power of 1920’s Sérine vines in the Brune sector’s Moutonnes and Côte Baudin."
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1961 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "Les Jumelles" Côte-Rotie (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lamentably, Jaboulet does not make Cote Rotie such as this anymore. This spectacular wine exhibited a huge Syrah nose of hickory smoke, berries, coffee, and meat. The wine is splendidly concentrated, vividly well focused, and amazingly long and refreshing. (RP)" (12/1996)
Starting Bid: $880.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Rotem & Mounir Saouma (Le Moine) "Arioso" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Grenache and more perfumed and complex, the 2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Arioso was fermented with 100% whole-cluster before spending three years in 500-liter demi-muids. Never racked, pumped, fined or filtered, it offers up a glorious bouquet of wild strawberries, grilled bread, saddle leather, underbrush and licorice to go with a full-bodied, deep and layered feel on the palate. Gaining richness with air, this awesome wine should start to hit prime time in another 3-4 years and have 15-20 years of total longevity. Drink 2016-2029. (JD)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine Bois de Boursan "Cuvée Felix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The profound, opaque purple-colored 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Felix elicited the following words: "Mama-Mia!" A fabulous offering, it provides a lesson in the flavors of Provence. It is like an open air Provencal marketplace with notes of dried herbs, saddle leather, fennel, licorice, black cherries, cassis, blackberries, and tapenade. With tremendous concentration and purity, as well as powerful, balanced, full-bodied flavors, this stunning effort represents the nectar of old vines planted in the sun-drenched appellation of Chateauneuf du Pape. Although more forward than the 1998, it is equally fragrant. (RP)" (02/2003)
