Wine Enthusiast: "Ripe aromas of pear flesh and yellow-apple slices meet with a hint of butter and lots of chalk on the nose of this blend of 67% Grenache Blanc and 33% Roussanne. The palate offers grapefruit-skin, nectarine and pear flesh flavors, proving very easy to quaff if not overly complex. (MK)" (08/2018)

2018 Buty Columbia Valley White Bordeaux Blend (Previously $25) (Previously $25)
Top Pick!
93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Most Bordeaux-style white wines from Washington are Sauvignon Blanc heavy. This one flips the script, along with a heavy dose of Muscadelle that a few wineries in the state are working with. The aromas bring immediate appeal, with notes of whole orange, fig, herb and lees. A full-feeling, textured, flavorful palate follows, redolent with fig flavors. A lingering finish caps it off. It's glorious with a long life ahead of it. Hard to keep your hands off now but will be best after 2023. *Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2020* (SS)" ...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Though a white wine blending 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir may seem surprising, it's really a white Pinot with no color or skin contact that's in the mix, and the match-up is quite successful. Apple, pear, peach and apricot fruit flavors are front and center, and the all-stainless fermentation keeps the fruit fresh and clean. Just a lick of butterscotch adds an interesting note to the finish." K&L Notes: 70% Chardonnay and 30% straight pressed Pinot Noir Blanc. All fermented and aged in stainless steel.

A fantastic new summer sipper on our shelves and online! I loved the value and refreshment this wine delivered at a recent tasting. Haling from Brassfield Estate up in the High Valley AVA of Lake County, this just off-dry but zesty white is perfect for quaffing on a hot day and goes down like water! An estate grown blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc, 32% Pinot Gris, 3% Gewürztraminer. (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Domestic Wine Buyer)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of Grenache Blanc (80%) and Roussanne (20%), the 2017 Vieilles Vignes Blanc displays bright, pristine aromas of pear, melon and pineapple. It's medium-bodied, ripe and round yet with a tart, crisp finish of lime zest and brine. (JC)" (04/2018) K&L Notes: Jean-Marc Lafage is famous for his Domaine Lafage wines produced near and around the city of Perpignan. But he grew up near Maury a region once famous for their fortified wines. In the not too distant past though, Jean-Marc decided to acquire the Chateau Saint-Ro...

The estate at Château Gigognan has a history stretching back to Roman times, and eventually became the property of the bishops of Avignon. More recently, the estate was acquired by Anne and Jacques Callet, who over the last few decades completely rebuilt the winery, restoring the Château and replanting where necessary. Slowly they acquired additional parcels, and now the domaine includes 30 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, In 2012, consulting winemaker Philippe Cambie helped out, and in 2017 the property was bought by Jean-Francois Henin, and famed wine...
