Jancis Robinson: "Pinot Noir clone 777 grown in clay soils on a hillside. Direct whole-cluster pressing, then inoculation for a cool-temperature ferment for 42 days. The wine is then racked and cold stabilised before being moved to steel for settling for four months. Filtered before bottling. Pale baby-pink. Aromas of strawberries and watermelon. Flavours of watermelon and berries have a silky texture and nice juiciness thanks to very good acidity. There's a touch of citrus peel lingering in the finish. A textbook summer wine to chill and enjoy. (AY)" (0...

Monica Larner writes: "Casa d'Ambra is the leading wine producer on the tiny island of Ischia. Wines from this volcanic island offer a fascinating mineral character that comes from the soils and also from the breezy marine character of the island environment. The east side of the island has black soils made from crushed lava stone, and the west side has greenish tuff rock. This is unique geology, and its color comes from contact with sea water. The west side of the island has very compact soils, and the southern side is characterized by volcanic fumarole...

The once prominent highball cocktail served throughout the Far East and India was the Gunner. A mix of ginger, lemon and a dash of bitters. This iconic drink defined an era. This very dry Ginger Ale was developed with respect for that tradition. Made with the natural ginger root and low cane sugar content, the natural freshness and spice shine through. This is an extraordinary expression of ginger ale, is of course ideal for a Gunner or any Buck, but equally so for a little Pimms cup. 10.5 grams of natural sugar per serving (28 calories), gluten free.

Production Notes: Chenille is made by co-fermenting our "simple saison" base beer with fresh apple cider must. The resulting beer is super dry, with a light body and fruity notes. We have been releasing a lot of fruited versions of this beer as well, as we've learned that it takes on fruit character exceptionally well, but the unfruited version is what we've been wanting to drink all the time lately.

Jacques Coipel worked in the petrol industry until 2002 when he decided to change career paths and enter the wine business. He purchased an exceptional site in the Cotes du Rhone Village Cru of Valreas. His vineyards sit at around 1200 feet with a mix of clay, limestone and gravel making up the soils. With cooling winds from the north and at this higher altitude, there is a crispness to the wines showing more red fruit qualities in the reds and more vibrant apple tones in the whites. Around the same time Jacques's son, Julien, began studying winemaking w...

Amats is both the brand name of the Txakoli as well as one of Zudugarai's vineyards. It's a beautiful vineyard, a sandy substrate covered with wild cover crops growing between the rows, with the Cantabrian Sea in full view to the north. Produced from Hondarribi Zuri and Hondarrobo Beltz grapes, this is classic Txakoli rosé: zippy and crisp, with tart cherries and mixed berry flavors enlivened by a lovely spritz.

Produced from 100% estate-grown, organically cultivated Xarel-lo, from their oldest plants (40+ years old), this is the taste of well farmed Xarel-lo: salty, with a touch of the ever-present fennel that grows wildly in the zone. The Garriga family, with Toni and Jordi currently at the helm, have been farming this land since the 17th century. While their cava is among our most popular sparkling wines in the store, it is absolutely worth emphasizing that their still wines are also incredibly well made and delicious.

95 points James Halliday: "Small yields in ’22 at Tahbilk, but big rewards in the glass with this concentrated, fully expressive young marsanne. Hits some rare notes in mid-palate texture and length – so early in its life, too. Citrus blossom, honeysuckle, green almond, Meyer lemon and pear aromas lead into a wine with all the ingredients for developing complexity. The varietal trademarks are lining up nicely, led by lemon-bright acidity, spring floral and citrus flavours with potential plus for further ageing. Exactly what you want and expect from a mak...

They’re durable and portable with enough width to allow the complex aromas of mezcal to dissipate properly in the same way that the traditional copitas do. Fever Tree makes all-natural, premium mixers--most famously tonic waters and this ginger ale--that have taken the cocktail world by storm. The New York Times called them, "A mixer to take seriously," and their products definitely enhance the drinks they go into. The ginger ale is my personal favorite, brimming with the spicy quality of the famous root. Mix with gin and a squeeze of lime for a "Mother's Little Helper," my cocktail of choice these days. With our new LICHTENHAINER WEISSE (10.9°P), we want to revive the almost extinct sour beer tradition of Jena. We followed the definition of this old Thuringian beer style and have brewed a tangy, top-fermented beer with a slightly sour yet smoky taste and a light yellow color. The result is a light, easy-drinking beer with a velvety-soft acidity and a subtle smoky character. It is reminiscent of a beautiful summer evening around the bonfire.
