2017 Luna Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $75) (Previously $75)
Top Pick!
93 points Vinous: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label is a big, powerful wine. Inky and voluptuous in the glass with generous jammy fruit, sweet oak and spice notes, the 2017 is not exactly subtle, but it is quite tasty. The flamboyant style will naturally appeal most to readers who like big, full-throttle Cabernets. All the elements just fall into place effortlessly. (AG)" (01/2020) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Including 5% Merlot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label offers a spicy bouquet of blackcurrants, new leather, dried flowers, and chocolat...

2015 Hanzell "Estate" Sonoma Valley Chardonnay (Elsewhere $65) (Elsewhere $65)
Top Pick!
94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Showing beautifully, the 2015 Chardonnay offers a touch of maturity in its caramelized peach, pineapple, flora, and toasted bread-like aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied and beautifully textured on the palate, it has plenty of fruit, a solid spine of acidity, and a clean, mineral-laced finish. This is just a beautiful Chardonnay from Sonoma that's drinking at point today yet will evolve nicely for another 5-7 years." (12/2020) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay is a little reticent to begin, slowing unf...

2016 Domaine Vincent & Sophie Morey Santenay 1er Cru "Beaurepaire" (Elsewhere $45) (Elsewhere $45)
Top Pick!
90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Santenay 1er Cru Beaurepaire comes from young vines planted in 2008 and pruned Cordon Royat, which was beneficial in this vintage as the cycle tends to be later. I appreciate the bouquet here: blackcurrant, raspberry, cranberry leaf and cold stone, all with fine delineation. The palate is very well balanced with vivid raspberry and cranberry fruit, well structured like the Passetemps with a firm, grippy finish...Excellent. 2017 Château de Vaudieu Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Previously $45) (Previously $45)
Top Pick!
94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the 2017s and starting with the base Châteauneuf Du Pape, it's a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that was brought up mostly in demi-muids. Revealing a ruby/purple hue as well as notes of black raspberries, kirsch, garrigue, incense, and loamy soil and earth, this beauty hits the palate with beautiful depth of fruit, a layered, rounded, sexy texture, no hard edges, remarkable purity, and just tons of charm. " (08/2019) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Powerful and buxom yet elegantly nuanced, this 80-20 blend of Grenache...

2018 Grand Napa "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Elsewhere $100+) (Elsewhere $100+)
Top Pick!
94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Another terrific wine, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers lots of blackcurrants, spice box, tobacco leaf, and chocolatey nuances to go with a full-bodied style on the palate. It has the 2018 vintage’s fresher, more elegant style yet brings ample fruit and has an expansive, layered mouthfeel as well as a great finish. It’s another wine to enjoy any time over the coming 15-20 years." (01/2021)

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Estates Reserve aims to showcase the attributes of all three vineyards and spends 18 months in French barrel, around 30 to 35% new. The nose is intense right from the start: dark cherries, wild strawberry and bergamot at first, hints of briar and fresh mint following behind. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin: dark cherries, black plum, a pinch of white pepper and a slight flintiness toward the finish. This is very nicely focused with just a touch of piquancy on the finish....

2017 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Chardonnay (Elsewhere $50+) (Elsewhere $50+)
Top Pick!
95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Winemakers Braiden Albrecht and Andy Erickson crafted magic out of a difficult vintage, picking the grapes for this beautiful white well before the October 2017 fires. It's gorgeously racy and light, bright and effusive, offering fleshy flavors of peach and lemon. Licorice and fennel finish out the expressive wine, which persists in wet stone. *Editors' Choice* (VB)" (08/2019) 94 points James Suckling: "Very pretty, old-school style with sliced-lemon, apple and candied-lemon character. 2016 Domaine Vincent & Sophie Morey Santenay 1er Cru "Passetemps" (Elsewhere $45) (Elsewhere $45)
Top Pick!
90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Santenay 1er Cru Passetemps Rouge offers attractive brambly red berry fruit on the nose, quite natural and more refined than the Les Hâtes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine line of acidity, plenty of juice cranberry and blackcurrant notes that belie the structure underneath. This is an excellent Santenay that deserves a couple of years in bottle for the tannins to soften. (NM)" (12/2017) Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A very pretty nose is composed by notes of spicy red and dark c...

2016 Domaine Vincent & Sophie Morey Santenay 1er Cru "Les Gravières" (Elsewhere $45) (Elsewhere $45)
Top Pick!
89-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, which did not need to be chaptalized, was the richest and most opulent of the three Santenay premier crus that I tasted at the domaine, though it did not quite possess the detail and precision of the Beaurepaire. The palate is a little chewy on the entry, finely detailed, structured and masculine, although I discern a little more persistence and finesse on the other two Santenays. Still, there is plenty of matière within this wine, and it certainly deserves a couple of ...

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "One of my favorites in the lineup was the 2016 Pinot Noir Perry Ranch Vineyard, which comes from a cooler site in the Russian River (this used to be Keefer Ranch Vineyard). Medium-bodied, silky, and beautifully balanced and elegant, it has complex notes of salty minerality, ripe cherries, currants, and crushed violets. I love its balance, purity, and length, and would happily drink bottles over the coming decade." It has a terrific nose of blue and black fruits as well as classic Cabernet tobacco, bay leaf, violets, graphite, and crushed rock-like minerality. I continue to love these wines from Sam Teakle. 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Cabernet Sauvignon is now down to 85% in this wine, joined by 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% each of Petit Verdot and Merlot. As opposed to the hot, ripe 2012 vintage this was a much more Bordeaux-esque one, with a cold wet winter, a long, cool spring and then a warm, dry summer. Picked a little earlier than normal to avoid overripeness, this is reflected in the wine, which has wonderfully vibrant acidity, firm tannins and integrated spiced oak to support a generous core of bright purple-berried fruit. This wine was a revelation to me during a recent tasting! Such a beautifully pure, elegant, expressive Zinfandel. It perfectly captures the exotic, forward fruit of the varietal, but also has lots of lift and freshness on the palate. It weighs in at a very moderate 13.9% alcohol. From 30+-year-old, head-trained vines on Stulhmuller's Alexander Valley estate. Co-fermented with Petite Sirah and Carignane, basket pressed, aged for 18 months in a mix of French and American oak with just 20% being new.
