Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) Central Coast Graciano (99RP, 99VN, 98JD). Vinous: "A tiny production of 74 cases, the 2018 Graciano is an absolutely stunning wine. Inky and deep, with huge tannins, the 2018 is packed with inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice and spice. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2018 is a real powerhouse. The 2018 was done with 35% stems and aged in French oak, 33% new. Readers who can find it should not hesitate, as it is a magical, thrilling wine. (AG)" (06/2021)

Of the 2013 Clos Mogador Priorat, Wine Advocate writes: "One of only two Vins de Finca Qualificada from Priorat, the 2013 Clos Mogador is a complex blend of Garnacha and Cariñena with a touch of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It felt serious and a little backward, terribly balanced with shy notes of peat and graphite emerging with some time in the glass, subtle and complex, slowly revealing nuances of dark cherries, violets, black olives and later some red fruit. I found the earlier Ports a little sweeter than the newer ones, but Taylor continues to make their vintage Ports from the best grapes in their vineyards (primarily Quinta de Vargellas, but also Quintas Terra Feita and Junco in recent years.) Emeric worked for Puffeney for six years before he and his wife began their own venture. These two are one of the most exciting producers to keep your eye on. They are truly multi-generational treasures.In 1879, Finnish explorer and adventurer Gustave Niebaum searched the Napa Valley with the goal of establishing a wine estate to rival the finest chateau of France. For decades his wines won acclaim and remain some of the most admired in American wine history's classic period. By the mid-1960s, his property was divided, and estate-wine production ceased.

Bid on this bottle of 1946 Bodegas Toro Albalá "Don PX Convento Selección" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 1946 Don PX Convento Seleccion produced with Pedro Ximenez grapes dehydrated under the sun at the time of the Second World War, was only bottled in September 2011. This is an extreme wine, my first descriptor was ultra-mega-super concentrated. It is unbelievably powerful, both in the nose and the palate, full of umami, with sweet cinnamon, Christmas cake, camphor, petrol, lemongrass, Belgian chocolate and butter. Incredibly complex and rich, sweet, balanced and smooth in the palate, it is both very sweet and somehow salty, and with time it develops a black olive note. It combines the texture of the 1962 and the elegance of the 1949. It is as decadent as it gets. 825 bottles were produced. This wine will survive all of us. (LG)" (08/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) Central Coast Graciano ((97-99JD), (97-99RP), 98VN). Wine Advocate: "The Spanish variety Graciano is relatively rare in California, and this 2019 Graciano comes from just 1.33 acres planted in 2011 in pure sand in The Third Twin estate vineyard. It was still in barrel when I tasted it on May 24, 2022, due to be bottled shortly thereafter, in June 2022. If there is such a thing as an archetypal Californian Graciano, this 2019 has got to be it—it's a kaleidoscope of hedonistic fruit and spice. Blended with small amounts of Petite Sirah and Syrah, it was made with 32% whole clusters and matured for about 32 months in 57% new French oak. Opaque purple-black in color, it explodes with scents of boysenberry and blueberry, violets, coffee beans, tar, sage and thyme, shifting continually as it airs in the glass. " (EB)" (05/2022)

It is a fabulously ripe, rich and seductive wine endowed with beautifully articulated dark plums, ash, leather, licorice, all of which meld together in an explosive, utterly thrilling display of class and elegance. Vinous: "The 1977 Taylor's Vintage Port is initially tight and conservative on the nose: strawberry, baked cherry, tobacco and wild hedgerow notes emerging but remaining tight-lipped. This needs a good decant! The palate is endowed with depth and concentration, very well balanced with an attractive crispness. Perhaps you could argue that it is a 'linear' and more 'correct' Taylor's compared to the 1970 and lacks some charm. But there is immense complexity here so it is more a case of a Port demanding a very long maturation in bottle. (NM)" (06/2018)

Wine & Spirits: "Half of the lot for this wine comes from the Quinta da Cavadinha, Warre’s property on the western bank of the Pinhão River, a relatively cool site facing east. The balance is from Retiro, in the Rio Torto and Telhada, a property in the Douro Superior the Symingtons purchased in 2006. Old-vine mixed plantings make up 40 percent of the blend, lending it the kind of co-fermented complexity that makes this compellingly drinkable, delicious right now, as it will be for at least the next 20 or 30 years. Its graceful, reserved finish lasts with drive, a blend of green olive, blueberry skin, purple and blackberry flavors layered over the scent of roses, esteva, black pepper and the wild Douro scrub.
