93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Quite light in the glass, this bottling pops on the nose with fresh berry aromas that are leveled by a crushed rock earthiness. Black raspberry and rose petal flavors converge on the lively palate, which also offers a crushed rock touch." K&L Notes: From 100-year old, dry-farmed, head trained vines at the legendary Enz Vineyard in the tiny Lime Kiln AVA in the Cienega Valley.

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Dark cherry liqueur, mace, cola and dark cocoa aromas draw the nose into this wine, which is made from own-rooted, head-trained, pre-clonal vines. There's a power to the palate, where plummy fruits, peppery spice and persistent acidity lead into a long, leathery finish. (MK)" (12/2022)

93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "All Mourvèdre from a selection of own rooted vines, the 2021 Mourvedre Pliocene offers up bright red and blue fruits as well as notes of incense, leather, and spices. It's loaded with character and is medium-bodied and elegant, with terrific overall balance as well as outstanding length. Drink this character-filled beauty over the coming 7-8 years as well. " (08/2022) 93 points Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet, the 2021 Mourvèdre Pliocene is scented of blueberries, cranberries, garrigue and bergamot with touches of underbrush. The...

There is the appellation of Bandol with its plethora of producers, some good, some mediocre; and then there is Château Pradeaux, the unique, inimitable, standard bearer for this ancient wine-growing district. The estate is owned by the Portalis family, which has owned this property since before the French Revolution. The domaine is currently under the direction of Cyrille Portalis, who continues to maintain the gre...

93 points James Suckling: "Such a sensual wine for this grape that can be so dry and hard. Lovely black fruit and licorice character, the rich tannins are so well integrated on the ample palate. Moderately dry finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap. " (11/2022)

92 points Wine Advocate: "The 2022 Bruma del Estrecho Finca CQ (Casa Quemada) comes from a large property they bought in 2017 and have been recovering ever since. This Monastrell comes from vines at 700 meters in altitude. It fermented in 500-liter barrels and concrete and matured in those containers. It has 14.5% alcohol and good freshness. This has kept the floral and perfumed personality from previous years, and despite the ripeness, it comes through as balanced and harmonious. 10,266 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023.
