The wonderful Glengoyne distillery is always one to keep an eye. Built in 1833, it was sold by Archiball Macllelan to the Lang Brothers where it remained until 1965 when it was purchased by a predecessor organization to Edrington Group. In 2003, it was sold to blenders and bottlers Ian Macleod and they've rightfully made Glengoyne a worldwide brand. They're famous for their sherried malt and it's rare to see a butt make it out of their warehouses under anyone else's label. That's why we were so excited to see this pop up and when we tasted it we knew we ...

Ribbon Ridge is often considered the prime sub-region in the Willamette Valley for world-class Pinot Noir. This tiny appellation is home to icons such as Beaux Freres, Sequitur, Ribbon Ridge Estate, Patricia Green, Brick House and more. Norris planted their small 10 acre estate in 2007 to a mix of heritage clones (Coury, Wädenswil, Pommard), plus some Dijon 667 and 115. The soils are Wilakenzie, an ancient marine sedimentary soil. Having learnt his craft at famed wineries such as Williams-Selyem, The Hilt / Jonata, Trisaetum, Craggy Range and others, own...

The nose sings of preserved Morello cherries, mulberries, fruitcake and Chinese five spice with touches of potpourri, black pepper and licorice. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited, the palate provides a solid structure of firm, velvety tannins and tons of freshness to lift all that opulent fruit to a very long, spicy finish. Here is your dark sherry bomb for the season! While it's not coffee dark, it's a gorgeous auburn/polished mahogany color. The simply lovely hue is a hint at the stupendous malt inside the bottle. The wonderful Dailuaine Distillery is finally garnering some notoriety with aficionados and the wider populace in general. It's taken many years to pull this lesser-known distillery out of obscurity and put it on the pedestal it deserves. 96 points James Halliday: "All P58 clone from '80 and '82 plantings. Whole-bunch pressed to 500L puncheons (about 20% new). No lees stirring. A touch brighter and deeper in colour than the Hazeldene. Sexy stuff from the first whiff with its aromas of stone fruits, acacia honey and grilled nuts. Glides effortlessly across the silken-textured palate. You know it will age well, but this is an Oakridge chardonnay that you won't need to wait too long to enjoy. *Gold*" (02/2024) 96 points James Suckling: "From the oldest vineyard at this address, planted in ...

Composed of the same grapes in the same percentages as the Crianza, the Reserva is a barrel selection of wines that Ángel Escudero feels can undergo longer aging in barrel and then in bottle. Aged a total of 27 months in barrels, then into concrete for more than a year, the Reserva also sees bottle aging until Ángel deems it ready for release. This wine ramps up the intensity of the Crianza, with more pungent fruit as well as a real spicy and wild quality. As with many of the best Riojas, this wine is quite delicious right now if you want to drink some b...

For decades now, our Kalinda private label has been providing K&L customers with awesome wines at a fraction of what they'd normally pay under the producers' mainstay labels. Naturally, no producer wants their wines on the market for less than what they'd usually sell for, so the trade-off is anonymity. This is a superb Cabernet-very elegant and user friendly already. Lots of sweet cassis and red fruit aromas that follow to the palate. No hard edges here-drink it young with a prime rib or steak dinner. Will cellar well for five plus years. clyde

The bouquet is deep, pure and sappy, wafting from the glass in a mix of sweet cassis, black plums, dark chocolate, gamebird, dark soil tones, violets, a touch of brown spices and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, focused and full-bodied, with bottomless depth of sappy black fruit at the core, superb soil signature and grip, ripe tannins and a very long, complex and impeccably balanced finish. The wonderful Craigellachie distillery is beginning to become more of a household name now that the owners have made an earnest attempt to market the malt under its own name. Medium-bodied, pure, rounded, and beautifully balanced, it has plenty of power and density, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Corsica is one of the great, off-the-radar regions for wine production. The vineyards for Petroni date back to 1885 and are surrounded by the Corsican mountains to the west and the Mediterranean to the east. Château de Sarenceau is a family property and the 4th generation runs it today. This small estate of only 9 hectares allows a precise and careful work of the vines. This is the first time we have carried this property and it was our biggest buy on April 2022 trip. Rare enough to be underlined, this Saint-Emilion is a 100% Merlot! 94 points Decanter: "The palate has massive intensity of fruit flavour – watermelon, wild strawberry tip, a bit of dried thyme, salty toasted sourdough, macerated just-ripe strawberries, cranberries, wild oats and Moroccan spice box, with lacy acidity pulling through the fruit intensity. Savoury characters and fruit notes walk the line well. Finely layered texture, plenty of fruit phenolics, and some grippier and slightly grainier oak tannins. The oak offers a little toastiness and slight vanilla fringing. An equilibrium of fruit, acid, structure and wei...

It's showing a touch of maturity yet still has plenty of tannins and structure, good mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. I continue to think 2012 was a great vintage for the Right Bank, and this certainly doesn't change my mind." Château de la Charrière is one of our most popular direct import producers and a label that easily represents the best bang for your buck we carry in Burgundy. Old Potrero is a true pioneer of modern whiskey. 100% malted rye pot distilled single malt - being made in San Francisco starting in 1993. Domaine de la Colombe is based in the village of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, located at elevations between 900 and 1,300 feet. Produced from Loureiro and Pederña grapes grown in the granitic soils of the Vinho Verde region, the Santola (or as we here are calling it, "the crab wine") is a delicious, spritely, and refreshing white. Domaine Jacourette lies in the shadow of the Montagne-Ste-Victoire just east of Aix-en-Provence. Vigneron Helene Dragon took over winemaking duties more than two decades ago, and masterfully crafts one of our freshest and most sought after rosés year-after-year. The vines are planted at 300 meters of elevation atop decomposing limestone and clay - the most desirable soils in the region. Bright pink from longer maceration and restrained aromas, this is a blend of eight local varieties, blending red and white grapes. Concentrated dark fruit with a firm structure leaning towards austerity and linearity, with confident, firm tannins and dark minerality that give this rosé the weight and concentrat...

90-92 points Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Le Chardonnay has achingly delicate scents of honey-drizzled white peaches, spiced apples and Bosc pears with wafts of marzipan and pie crust. The medium-bodied palate delivers loads of finely knit apple and stone fruit flavors with a silken texture and bags of freshness, finishing long and spicy. Since Chardonnay is not one of the Bordeaux AC's permitted grapes, this wine uses the relatively new Vin de Pays de l'Atlantique designation. But don't let the declassified designation fool you—this is serious Chardonnay an...
La Rinconada was planted in the mid-1990s directly adjacent to Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. The soils are oceanic in origin, Monterey shale and diatomaceous earth that seems to impart a distinctive minerality in the wines. The region is heavily influenced by cold winds off the Pacific Ocean that moderates temperatures and reduces vigor and yields from the vines making for very intensely flavored fruit. This small production wine, typically only sold at the winery and to mailing list customers offers a chance to taste world-class, single vineyard Chardonn...

Domaine Cherrier was founded in 1930. Since then four generations of the family have run the estate. The domaine has limestone and calcareous clay soils that wonderfully influence the character of the grapes grown there. The Sancerre is consistently delicious, with citrus, chalky minerality and light floral notes. Its dry finish complements seafood and cheese beautifully. Mas Codina is a 40-hectare estate in Penedès, which dates back to 1681. This Brut Rosé consists of Pinot Noir grown in their own vineyards in the middle Penedès region. Here the Garriga brothers are quite pleased with the results they see from the Pinot Noir grown in chalky-clay soils. They have been working organically for the past several years, and their first harvest doing so with certification was 2017. Boutique winery Vinoce continues to impress. Little surprise when you consider their wines are made by much-heralded winemaker Keith Emerson of Vineyard 29! Emerson crafts some of the most highly sought-after cult Cabs in the valley from St. Helena fruit at Vineyard 29, including wines rated at 100-points by Robert Parker himself. Considering that pedigree, Vinoce's St. Helena Cab is very well priced at the regular $60 SRP, but at our Insider's Advantage price of over 50% off, it's just plain ridiculous.

2005 Undisclosed Jamaica 17 Year Old "Golden Devil" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Jamaican Rum (700ml)
This phenomenal barrel of rum will forever be a mystery. Wild speculation exists about its source and the bottler has absolutely zero information from the source about its marque. Those circumstances are highly unusual considering the quality and character of the rum in question.
