2002 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart" Brut Champagne (Previously $180) (Previously $180)
Top Pick!
98 points James Suckling: "Very impressive depth and detail here. The freshness is staggering. Citrus and grilled-hazelnut aromas lead to a palate that has a very concentrated, slightly creamy and taut feel. Super long and dense with lemon curd, white peaches and a toasty build to the finish. Superb!" (07/2018) 98 points Decanter: "Subtle nose of lemon-spiked raw pastry and a harmonious palate of incredible finesse. Scented and perfumed notes of lemon balm, shortbread and lemon zest fill the mind and senses. Utter elegance and happiness follows. (AK)" ...

2007 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points James Suckling: "This is a laser-guided Champagne with fabulous energy and intensity with a tight palate, racy acidity and super fine phenolics. It goes on and on. Fine bubbles. Light pine and praline character. One for the cellar. " (12/2020) 97 points Vinous: "The 2007 Brut Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart is positively stellar. Elegant, polished and sophisticated, the 2007 dazzles with effusive aromatics and gorgeous balance. It's not an obvious wine, though, but rather a Champagne built for long, patient cellaring. The 2007 is 60% Pinot N...

2012 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame - Yayoi Kusama Edition" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
96 points Decanter: "A generous golden colour betrays the dominance of Pinot Noir in the blend; this theme thereafter maintained by aromatics of fig, wild strawberries and Mirabelle plums; behind that, jasmine, red apples and a distant whiff of woodsmoke. Engaging already, in other words. One’s impressions are confirmed and amplified on the palate, with the aspiration voiced by both chef de caves Dominique and Didier, to allow the ‘cooler’ Pinot Noir sites full rein. This is eloquently evidenced by a subtle and deftly textured structure, the primary frui...

2006 Piper-Heidsieck "Cuvée Rare" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship release is the 2006 Champagne Rare, a 70/30 split of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that’s a cellar selection from 8 different Grand Cru vineyards. Tight, backward, and straight-up structured, it offers brilliant notes of stone fruits, toasted brioche, white flowers, and obvious minerality. Needing plenty of air to show at its best, this beauty has a wonderful mid-palate, a racy mousse, and the balance and class to cruise for over two decades in cool cellars. 97+" (11/2019) 96 points Wine Spectator: "Aromas and flavors o...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (97DC, 97JD, 97JS, 97WE, 96JG, 96VN, 96W&S, 95RP, 95WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The latest incarnation of this famous Champagne now comes from Roderer's own vineyards, a good portion of which are run on biodynamic lines. This still-young wine has great depth and richness, a beautiful balance between ripe fruit and crisp texture that make it alive, crisp and bright. As it matures, it will deepen and become even more intense. *Ranked #36 Top Cellar Selection of 2016* (RV)" (12/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (99JS, 96RP, 93VN). James Suckling: "This is really incredible with orange peel, dried pineapple and flan. Exotic. Full body, round and savory. Crazy character at the finish of cooked pineapple and tart tartine. Gorgeous; can't believe it. " (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (97ST, 95WE, 94W&S, 93JG, 93JS, 92RP, 92VN, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The 1998 Dom Pérignon has an intense white-golden color and is beautifully clear and fine on the nose, which indicates a lovely maturity and displays grey bread, almond cake and iodine flavors, along with lemon and orange aromas. This clarity and mineral freshness proceeds on the highly elegant, finesse-full and silky textured palate, and the complexly flavored, very distinguished finish is dry and mineral, revealing a stimulating salinity and tension. The 1998 seems young still, but is certainly a great pleasure to drink and will be for many years. (SR)" (06/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 1985 Bollinger "Grande Année" Brut Champagne (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This pristine bottle of Bollinger's 1985 La Grande Année was showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of smoky yellow orchard fruit, walnuts, fino sherry and mocha. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and powerful, with a more than vestigial pinpoint mousse, ripe acids and a deep but open-knit core, underpinned by racy acids and concluding with a long, gently oxidative finish. This is a classic Bollinger that's in its prime from well-stored bottles. (WK)" (07/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (98RP, 98VN, 97DC, 95ST, 92CG). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon Rosé is a tremendous example of this vintage at its very best. A Champagne of vertical thrust and intensity, the 2002 is rich, opulent and hedonistic from the very first taste. Readers should expect a Rosé built on a huge core of fruit. Rose petal, passion fruit and exotic flowers add shades of dimension to the wine’s decidedly flamboyant personality. What a wine! (AG)" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,550.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 J. Schram Brut Sparkling Wine (92WS). Wine Spectator: "A bold, rich style, with aromas of yeasty cinnamon roll and ripe golden apple, backing it up with refinement and structure. Flavors of Asian pear linger, with hints of lime and fresh ginger. (TF)" (11/2008)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Bollinger "R.D." Extra Brut Champagne (94VN, 93JG). Vinous: "The cork emerged with a discreet pffft, and the R.D. showed a slow but very fine stream of bubbles in the glass. Its fully developed nose and palate displayed a strong uni aroma (and that was before our uni course arrived!), complicated by deeply pitched notes of hazelnut, toffee, roasted nuts, truffle and baked bread, plus a faintly oxidative whiff of Calvados. The shocker was the back half of the wine: incredibly tactile and layered, with explosive vinosity and a saline, mounting, palate-staining finish. (ST)" (01/2016)
Starting Bid: $565.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (98VN, 97DC, 96RP, 96W&S, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon is unforgettable. Rich, sumptuous and flamboyant to the core, the 2002 captures all of the radiance of a year in which ripeness in the Chardonnays was pushed to the edge. The 2002 is oily and viscous on the palate, with tremendous textural resonance in all of its dimensions. Tropical fruit, pastry and exotic floral notes all build as the 2002 opens up with air. I can still remember the first time I tasted the 2002, here in the Hautvillers cloister, with former Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. It was thrilling back then, and is every bit as memorable today. (AG)" (07/2019)
