La Nevera is a wine blended and packaged in Aldeanueva, Rioja, and it consists primarily of Viura, the backbone to Rioja white wines. It is crisp, mineral, refreshing and (the best part!) available exclusively as a three liter bag in box. The bag in box, long a popular format in Europe, has finally started to catch on here. And with good reason, as it allows you to open a box and enjoy its contents for days, even weeks, with no drop off in flavor. For the equivalent of $6.25 per bottle, this is one white value that you do not want to miss! Keep it around...

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Beautifully textured and rich in blackcurrant flavors and tannins, this is a generous wine. The fruits and the dusty tannins partner each other well giving structure, concentration, a sense of poise and final freshness. Drink this wine from 2026. (RV)" (03/2021) 94 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe and focused, with a lovely core of steeped plum, fig and cassis notes laced liberally with graphite and applewood. A violet note chimes bright on the finish. Absolutely rock solid. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. (JM)" (...

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Best Buy* Setting the benchmark for London dry-style gins, look for a fresh, clean scent and flavors of lemon peel and juniper, accented by white pepper, ginger, cayenne and coriander before fading to zingy lemon and a mildly sweet exit. At 47% abv it reads a little hot, but it's ideal for drinks with a bit of dilution, like a classic Gin & Tonic. (KN)" (09/2016) K&L Notes: *Gold* 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. From the Beverage Testing Institute: "93 points--*Exceptional and a Best Buy*-- Vibrant aromas of c...

97 points Decanter: "This will be by far the biggest release since Latour brought in the new system, as the 2012 has not been on the market before. It's a good one to start with as this is a vintage where the drinking window is starting to come into view. This is pure liquorice, graphite and profoundly dark fruits, gourmet brushed damson and crushed stones, with a silky, appealingly open texture. The tannins are as bracing as you hope for from this estate, not giving an inch yet, but there is air between them and the structure is starting to loosen up. H...

100 points Wine Enthusiast: "This great estate in southern Pauillac, facing the Latour vineyard, is at the top of its game. In this release, the tannins are as impressive and dense as the black fruits. Together they form a harmonious ensemble, richly structured, concentrated from the many old vines in the blend, and very ageworthy. Drink from 2027. *Cellar Selection* (RV) " (03/2021) 97-98 points James Suckling: "Deep and dark young wine that takes you down, deep down to its center palate of blackberries and blueberries, firm and very silky tannins and...

95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Mar/Apr 07: "Good bright dark red. Initially reticent aromas of cherry, cola, flowers, pepper and sweet oak. Dense and fine-grained but youthfully imploded, with a strong stony minerality keeping the red cherry, bitter chocolate and floral flavors under wraps. Finishes very juicy and very long, with intriguing pepper and floral nuances. The recorked bottle 24 hours later showed brilliantly complex aromas and flavors of black raspberry, bitter chocolate, rose petal and minerals and superb sappy persist...

2009 Montrose, St-Estèphe (3L)
Back In Stock!
100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Harvested between September 17 and October 5, this wine seems always open for business, so to speak, much like the great 1982s. The summer of 2009 was very hot and dry, which got the harvest off to a reasonably early start. The blend was 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Jean Bernard Delmas’ goal was to find perfect equilibrium between freshness and concentration, given its incredible opulence and the voluptuous character this vintage offered. That’s what this wine has in...

2006 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe" Barolo Riserva (3L) (cracked capsule)
New!
94-96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe is a cool, inward wine. It boasts striking power and masses of fruit in an implosive style that will require many years to show at its best. The 2006 is all about sheer energy, power and muscle. Layers of fruit begin to flesh out on the muscular finish, but the 2006 San Giuseppe remains in an embryonic stage of its development. Readers will need to be patient. This is another totally impeccable wine from the Cavallotto brothers. Anticipated maturity: 20...

98 points Decanter: "Lovely grilled and graphite notes right off the bat; this is big and muscular, and extremely Pauillac. There is grace here too, with raspberry purée, cassis, fig and blackberry fruits set against charcoal and fine tannins that quickly build up to suggest how well this will age. (JA)" (11/2020) 98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande is a monster of a wine with an almost Château Latour-like stature and structure, offering deep, backward, slightly reductive notes of blackcurrants, crushed stone...

98 points Robert Parker: "The 2003 Pavie is closest in style to the 2000, but slightly more evolved and exotic. Its dense plum/purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary perfume of charcoal, creme de cassis, melted licorice, espresso roast, and blackberries. The wine, which hits the palate with a dramatic minerality, comes across like a hypothetical blend of limestone liqueur intermixed with black and red fruits. With massive depth, richness, and body, this tannic 2003 should be forgotten for 4-5 years, then enjoyed over the next four decades. The i...

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2005s from Bordeaux continue to show youthfully, yet spectacularly well! The 2005 Smith-Haut-Lafitte is a prime example of the vintage and offers a huge, rich, concentrated style as well as classic dark fruits, tobacco, scorched earth and graphite aromas and flavors. While this is a tannic vintage, the tannins here are sweet and polished and covered by fruit. With stunning purity of fruit, notable freshness, and a great, great finish, drink this beauty anytime over the coming two decades." (02/2018) 98 points Robert Parker's...

The world's first carbon negative vodka, the Air Company uses revolutionary proprietary technology to produce ethanol in a totally new way. They use sequestered CO2, water and a solar powered energy source to power their catalyst to create ethanol in a completely new and sustainable way. The technology is still extremely new and the resulting mixture of water and ethanol is further distilled on a column still to get the proof up to 96% alcohol by volume. The result is one of the cleanest and certainly most sustainable vodka on the market. The technology ...

95 points Decanter: "Another wine that is packed with Pauillac signature; one where you feel the tightness and the bristle of the tannins. They have done a great job of carefully extracting the tannins while maintaining a fresh menthol current running through the backbone of the wine. The fruit lacks a little plushness and concentration compared to the 2016 or 2018, but this is impressive. It's a year where names count, and Lynch Bages is claiming its place at the table. (JA)" (11/2019) 95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Mer...

99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc brought up in 60% new French oak, the 2018 Château Pape Clement from Bernard Magrez is a gorgeous wine that's performing even better from bottle than barrel, which is always a good sign. Deep ruby/purple, with stunning crème de cassis and blackberry fruits as well as kaleidoscope-like notes of graphite, scorched earth, smoke, violets, and spring flowers, it offers full-bodied richness yet stays light on its feet, graceful, and almost ethereal on the palate...

98-99 points James Suckling: "The richness and beauty of this wine is impressive with blackcurrant, cherry, berry and fresh cloves. The fruit is so pure here. Full-bodied with tannins that are so integrated and refined that you don’t feel them, yet they are there! Very creamy and layered with great length and beauty. It turns to tar and licorice at the finish. Tight now, but the texture is special. Try after 2027." (01/2021) 98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Cos d'Estournel is a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 2% Petit Ver...

96 points James Suckling: "A very savory and succulent Alion with so much complexity of flavor with berries, chocolate and dried meat. Some cedar, too. Full body. Vertical and very long. Purity of fruit and tannins to this wine. Needs two or three years to soften. Release in 2020. Better after 2022." (09/2020) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The highly anticipated 2016 Alión spent 12 months in oak barrels, 80% of them new and built mainly with French oak but with some 5% American oak, and some 10% of the volume matured in 15,000-liter concret...

2009 Palmer, Margaux (3L)
Back In Stock!
99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2009 Palmer is unquestionably one of the greatest young Bordeaux I’ve tasted, and it has a rare mix of richness and elegance that’s incredible. Blackcurrants, violets, lead pencil shavings and a touch of minerality all emerge from this rich, massively concentrated Margaux that still glides across the palate with no sense of weight or heaviness. It’s perfectly balanced, has a ripe, hedonistic core of fruit, as well as integrated acidity. It’s a dream today, but is going to have 30-40 years or more of prime drinking." (12/2017) ...

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good dark ruby; slightly hazy. Sappy aromas of black cherry, currant, espresso and earth. Silky and stuffed with fruit. Acidity (from the substantial Petit Verdot component?) is still a bit pronounced, but this wine has the sheer extract to harmonize with bottle aging. Quite powerfully structured and very long on the aftertaste, though not as subtle as the regular '96. (ST)" (06/1999)

This is must-have ingredient in a wide range of sour-style cocktails or on its own as a digestif.

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Showing bright topaz in the glass, this Cognac entices with rich, concentrated caramel and toffee aromas. Fleetingly sweet on the palate, vanilla, mocha and hazelnut lead into a rounded brown-sugar finish punctuated by clove and orange peel. This easy sipper would be welcome at any dessert table. Made with a blend of Cognacs aged 11–25 years. *Top 100 Spirits of 2017* (KN)" (12/2017)

Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1989 Louis Martini "Duke's 25th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) in original wood. The story of Louis Martini is a key chapter in Napa's winemaking history. Genovese immigrant Louis Martini established his first business in 1922, smack in the middle of Prohibition (in force in the US from 1919 until 1933). He was therefore limited to making "sacramental and medicinal" wines at first. With the end of prohibition, Martini became one the first winemakers in California to produce vintage varietal table wines in quantity, and at reasonable prices.
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1984 Diamond Creek "Three Vineyard Blend" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). Maverick grower Al Brounstein first established Diamond Creek on the secluded Diamond Mountain in 1968. Devoted entirely to Bordeaux varietals, Diamond Creek has established itself as a source for fine fruit and, in turn, fine wine. Often rustic, tight and tannic in youth, these wines round out with age; many vintages have required decades to come together. This is a blend of the three estate vineyards: Gravelly Meadow, Red Rock Terrace, and Volcanic Hill.

Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1992 Diamond Creek "Duke's Anniversary - Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) in original wood. Al and Boots Brounstein founded Diamond Creek Vineyards in 1968. The three vineyards Brounstein planted have produced some of the most long-lived, elegant wines from the state of California, wines that make the case "that Diamond Creek is the finest producer of Cabernet Sauvignon in America," according to wine writer Pierre DuMont. This bottling comes from the eight-acre Volcanic Hill vineyard, which has ashy volcanic soils deposited by the eruption of Mt. Konocti eight million years ago. The wines from this site are Diamond Creek's longest lived, "loaded with intense ripe berry fruit, cassis, violets and a smoky richness," according to the winery.

Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1984 Duckhorn "Three Palms Vineyard" Napa Valley Merlot (3L). He has produced a vineyard-designated bottling from the Three Palms Vineyard, owned by brothers John and Sloan Upton, since 1978. The site is covered with volcanic stones that absorb the sun's heat during the day, and make for luscious, ripe Merlots.

It is planted to approximately 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1995 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (98RP, 95VN, 94WS). The wine combines extraordinary power and richness with remarkable complexity and finesse. The saturated purple/black color is followed by aromas of sweet vanillin intermixed with riveting scents of black currants, minerals, exotic spices, coffee, and toast. There is nothing garish about this subtle yet powerful giant of a wine. A Napa Valley classic, it is full-bodied and extremely rich, yet retains its sense of balance and symmetry.
