95 points Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* Violets and compost dance through the aromas, leading into an intensely fruity palate loaded with sappy berry richness, nuanced with scents and streaks of cured meat, garrigue, earth and graphite. Blending 77% Syrah with 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, it strikes a perfect balance among fruit, earth, and rock. At its core it is still wrapped tight, immaculately clean, and still almost impenetrably dense. " (08/2010) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Supple, complex and deep, with mineral, earth and meat notes mingling w...

La Nevera is a wine blended and packaged in Aldeanueva, Rioja, and it consists primarily of Viura, the backbone to Rioja white wines. It is crisp, mineral, refreshing and (the best part!) available exclusively as a three liter bag in box. The bag in box, long a popular format in Europe, has finally started to catch on here. And with good reason, as it allows you to open a box and enjoy its contents for days, even weeks, with no drop off in flavor. For the equivalent of $6.25 per bottle, this is one white value that you do not want to miss! Keep it around...

And with good reason, as it allows you to open a box and enjoy its contents for days, even weeks, with no drop off in flavor. For the equivalent of $6.25 per bottle, this is one red value that you do not want to miss!

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Beautifully textured and rich in blackcurrant flavors and tannins, this is a generous wine. The fruits and the dusty tannins partner each other well giving structure, concentration, a sense of poise and final freshness. Drink this wine from 2026. (RV)" (03/2021) 94 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe and focused, with a lovely core of steeped plum, fig and cassis notes laced liberally with graphite and applewood. A violet note chimes bright on the finish. Absolutely rock solid. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. (JM)" (...

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Best Buy* Setting the benchmark for London dry-style gins, look for a fresh, clean scent and flavors of lemon peel and juniper, accented by white pepper, ginger, cayenne and coriander before fading to zingy lemon and a mildly sweet exit. At 47% abv it reads a little hot, but it's ideal for drinks with a bit of dilution, like a classic Gin & Tonic. (KN)" (09/2016) K&L Notes: *Gold* 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. From the Beverage Testing Institute: "93 points--*Exceptional and a Best Buy*-- Vibrant aromas of c...

95 points Decanter: "Another wine that is packed with Pauillac signature; one where you feel the tightness and the bristle of the tannins. They have done a great job of carefully extracting the tannins while maintaining a fresh menthol current running through the backbone of the wine. The fruit lacks a little plushness and concentration compared to the 2016 or 2018, but this is impressive. It's a year where names count, and Lynch Bages is claiming its place at the table. (JA)" (11/2019) 95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Mer...

2020 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé (3L)
New!
Domaine Tempier's Bandol Rosé is always a staff and customer favorite here at K&L, vintage after vintage. Made with selected parcels that average 20 years old. It's a blend of 50% Mourvèdre, 28% Grenache, 20% Cinsault and 2% Carignan. Pale salmon pink, with minerality, fresh acidity and Provencal herbs. Delightful. On this iconic estate Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Easily the most widely recognized estate in Bandol, Domaine Tempier has been run by the Peyraud family since 1936. Today, with the passing of Lucien Peyraud in 1996 and the retirement of sons Francois...

98 points Decanter: "Lovely grilled and graphite notes right off the bat; this is big and muscular, and extremely Pauillac. There is grace here too, with raspberry purée, cassis, fig and blackberry fruits set against charcoal and fine tannins that quickly build up to suggest how well this will age. (JA)" (11/2020) 98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande is a monster of a wine with an almost Château Latour-like stature and structure, offering deep, backward, slightly reductive notes of blackcurrants, crushed stone...

The world's first carbon negative vodka, the Air Company uses revolutionary proprietary technology to produce ethanol in a totally new way. They use sequestered CO2, water and a solar powered energy source to power their catalyst to create ethanol in a completely new and sustainable way. The technology is still extremely new and the resulting mixture of water and ethanol is further distilled on a column still to get the proof up to 96% alcohol by volume. The result is one of the cleanest and certainly most sustainable vodka on the market. The technology ...

93 points James Suckling: "This is surprisingly delicate and fine now with currant and spice character and hints nuts. It is full body with refined texture and a beautiful finish." (06/2016) 91 points Vinous: "The 1995 Pichon-Baron is a wine that tasted extremely well several years ago, but I wonder how well it is continuing to evolve. The bouquet feels a little smudged, scents of iodine and cassis merging with blackberry and pencil lead; it is a little meandering and missing a sense of focus. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, crisp acidi...

99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc brought up in 60% new French oak, the 2018 Château Pape Clement from Bernard Magrez is a gorgeous wine that's performing even better from bottle than barrel, which is always a good sign. Deep ruby/purple, with stunning crème de cassis and blackberry fruits as well as kaleidoscope-like notes of graphite, scorched earth, smoke, violets, and spring flowers, it offers full-bodied richness yet stays light on its feet, graceful, and almost ethereal on the palate...

95-96 points Vinous: "An intensely perfumed nose displays mineral-accented black/blue fruit and floral pastille scents that pick up olive paste, bacon and exotic spice notes with air. In a concentrated yet energetic style, offering appealingly sweet cherry, blueberry, licorice, spicecake and candied lavender flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows outstanding clarity and mineral thrust on a wonderfully long, floral-accented finish shaped by fine-grained, slow-building tannins. 70% of this fruit comes from La Landonne and the rest is from Côte B...

96-97 points Vinous: "Powerful, spice- and mineral-laced black/blue fruit scents show superb focus and pick up suggestions of smoked meat, licorice and violet with air. Sappy, deeply concentrated and pure, offering juicy blueberry, boysenberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that are firmed by a spine of tangy acidity. Blends power and vivacity with a sure hand and finishes extremely long and minerally, with supple tannins building steadily and in harmony with the wine's assertive dark fruit. 100% whole clusters; all neutral foudres. 95 points Wine Enthusiast: " *Top 50 Spirits 2013* This super-smooth, limited-edition Tequila is aged up to 40 months in American oak. Bright, with a rich golden color, there is an initial flurry of black pepper, sprightly jalapeño and vanilla notes that settle into a warm, mellow crème brûlée groove. 96 points Decanter: "The Drouhins' 1ha of Bonnes Mares is entirely located on red soils and was planted in different stages. Fermented with 30% stems and aged in 80% new wood, this is a plush, layered, well upholstered Pinot Noir, exhibiting the ripeness of the vintage, fine-grained tannins and more than enough acidity and minerality for balance. Comparatively well priced, too. (TA)" (10/2019) 94-96 points Vinous: "The 2018 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru contains 30% whole clusters. It has a perfumed bouquet of blackberry, hints of cassis, crushed violet and t...

96 points James Suckling: "A very savory and succulent Alion with so much complexity of flavor with berries, chocolate and dried meat. Some cedar, too. Full body. Vertical and very long. Purity of fruit and tannins to this wine. Needs two or three years to soften. Release in 2020. Better after 2022." (09/2020) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The highly anticipated 2016 Alión spent 12 months in oak barrels, 80% of them new and built mainly with French oak but with some 5% American oak, and some 10% of the volume matured in 15,000-liter concret...

Bid on this 3 liter of 2006 Frog's Leap Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). John Williams was the first hire by Warren Winiarski at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, and helped bottle the wine that won the landmark Judgement of Paris Tasting of 1976. He then went on to become the head winemaker at Spring Mountain Vineyards before co-founding Frog's Leap Winery in 1981 with Larry Turley. While Larry sold his share of Frog's Leap in 1993, John Williams remains the owner and winemaker to date. Frog's Leap has a long commitment to dry-farming and organic viticulture, and was an early adopter of solar energy to power the winery. John has always maintained that wine should be fun, as evidenced by the "ribbit" corks, playfully named wines, and the winery name itself which plays on the winery's original frog farm location and John's connection to Stag's Leap.

DiSaronno is perhaps the world's best known almond-flavored liqueur. With a history dating back to 1525 A.D. and a star pupil of Leonardo da Vinci, the recipe for this classic spirit has remained secret since Domenico Reina started producing it commercially at the turn of the 20th century. This is must-have ingredient in a wide range of sour-style cocktails or on its own as a digestif.

Bid on this 3 liter of 2006 Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). Wine Enthusiast: "While this Cab is a little rough here and there, it's quite good, and the divots, which include some unevenly ripened fruit, are leavened with overall richness and a generosity of texture. Flatters the palate with flavors of blackberries, chocolate and sweet oak." (07/2010)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2003 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (3L) (95RP, 93JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Pontet Canet is still incredibly young and vigorous. This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. Most of the tannins have been resolved in this superstar of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 10-15+ years. (RP) 95+" (08/2014)
