2007 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Louis" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (Previously $170) (Previously $170)
Top Pick!
95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Disgorged in October 2018 with seven grams per liter dosage, the 2007 Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Louis Salmon derives from the villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Mesnil-sur-Oger, and half of the vins clairs that went into the blend were vinified in older barrels. It's still tightly wound, even after over a year on cork, unfurling in the glass with a delicate bouquet of crisp yellow apple, Meyer lemon, blanched almonds, elderflower and crushed chalk. Medium to full-bodied, deep and searingly intense, it's seamless ...

2002 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart" Brut Champagne (Previously $180) (Previously $180)
Top Pick!
98 points James Suckling: "Very impressive depth and detail here. The freshness is staggering. Citrus and grilled-hazelnut aromas lead to a palate that has a very concentrated, slightly creamy and taut feel. Super long and dense with lemon curd, white peaches and a toasty build to the finish. Superb!" (07/2018) 98 points Decanter: "Subtle nose of lemon-spiked raw pastry and a harmonious palate of incredible finesse. Scented and perfumed notes of lemon balm, shortbread and lemon zest fill the mind and senses. Utter elegance and happiness follows. (AK)" ...

2013 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
98 points James Suckling: "This is quite chalky with firm phenolics that frame the wine beautifully. It’s medium-to full-bodied with strawberries and earth. Dense, linear and intense. Hints of brioche and pie crust at the end. Very structured and gorgeous. Salty and lightly chewy. One third of the base wines fermented and aged in oak. Connoisseur Champagne. From organic vineyards of the Roederer domains. Smaller production than normal. Seven years on the lees. Give it two or three years to open." (07/2021) 98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I've...

2008 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Elisabeth" Brut Rosé Champagne
Top Pick!
98 points Decanter: "Despite ageing on its lees for 10 years, it remains almost shockingly youthful, its vividly primary flavours of red cherry, strawberry and nectarine wrapped up in a taut, tense frame. It’s silky in texture and intricately complex on the long, elegantly harmonious finish, underlined by a saline chalkiness, and it demonstrates all the requisite completeness and character for long ageing, promising a slow and dignified evolution to come. (PL)" (05/2021) 98 points James Suckling: "This is very vinous with aromas of iron, strawberries, ...

2012 Bollinger "La Grande Année" Brut Champagne
Back In Stock!
97 points Wine Spectator: "This goes from zero to 60 right out of the gate, with an intense spine of acidity driving tightly meshed flavors of crushed black currant, ground coffee, candied grapefruit peel and toasted almond. The profile expands on the palate, carried by the fine, raw silk–like mousse. Richly aromatic and expressive from start to lasting, spiced finish. *Highly Recommended* (AN)" (12/2020) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "Still young for a wine of this caliber, this rich Champagne has an immense future ahead of it. The freshness of the wine ...

2012 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame - Yayoi Kusama Edition" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
96 points Decanter: "A generous golden colour betrays the dominance of Pinot Noir in the blend; this theme thereafter maintained by aromatics of fig, wild strawberries and Mirabelle plums; behind that, jasmine, red apples and a distant whiff of woodsmoke. Engaging already, in other words. One’s impressions are confirmed and amplified on the palate, with the aspiration voiced by both chef de caves Dominique and Didier, to allow the ‘cooler’ Pinot Noir sites full rein. This is eloquently evidenced by a subtle and deftly textured structure, the primary frui...

2007 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points James Suckling: "This is a laser-guided Champagne with fabulous energy and intensity with a tight palate, racy acidity and super fine phenolics. It goes on and on. Fine bubbles. Light pine and praline character. One for the cellar. " (12/2020) 97 points Vinous: "The 2007 Brut Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart is positively stellar. Elegant, polished and sophisticated, the 2007 dazzles with effusive aromatics and gorgeous balance. It's not an obvious wine, though, but rather a Champagne built for long, patient cellaring. The 2007 is 60% Pinot N...

2006 Piper-Heidsieck "Cuvée Rare" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship release is the 2006 Champagne Rare, a 70/30 split of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that’s a cellar selection from 8 different Grand Cru vineyards. Tight, backward, and straight-up structured, it offers brilliant notes of stone fruits, toasted brioche, white flowers, and obvious minerality. Needing plenty of air to show at its best, this beauty has a wonderful mid-palate, a racy mousse, and the balance and class to cruise for over two decades in cool cellars. 97+" (11/2019) 96 points Wine Spectator: "Aromas and flavors o...

Laurent-Perrier "Grand Siècle" Iteration #24 Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points James Suckling: "A fantastic prestigious cuvée this year with a solid core of fruit that makes it so serious and structured. Like a grand cru Burgundy. Full body. Lightly chewy. Phenolic tension gives it form and beauty. This is the first year to use numbers. 55% chardonnay and 45% pinot noir. 2004, 2002 and 1999." (09/2019) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "A grand wine, this is the 24th blend of Grand Siécle, the producer's top cuvée. With wonderful toastiness, the Champagne from grand cru vineyards is at a perfect moment of maturity. Almonds min...

93 points Wine Spectator: "Vibrant and mouthwatering, this elegant blanc de blancs is driven by a chalky underpinning, while flavors of poached pear, apple blossom and pickled ginger play on the fine and lacy mousse. Lovely, with a long, minerally finish. Drink now through 2022. (AN)" (12/2017) 92 points James Suckling: "Very fine bready lemon citrus aromas here; a restrained, fresh and attractively raw expression of chardonnay aromas. The palate unleashes more flamboyant fruit flavors, heading through citrus to nectarine and peach. The focus never wav...

2010 Dom Pérignon "Lady Gaga Edition" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
98 points James Suckling: "A firm and vivid Champagne with a precise, focused palate. Full-bodied and dry. It’s very layered and bright with light pineapple, peach, praline, cooked-apple and stone aromas and flavors. It’s very subtle and focused at the end. Integrated with richness and high acidity. Good depth. Reminds me of the 1995. Very clean. Solid. Lovely to drink already, but will age nicely." (07/2020) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "The new release of this iconic Champagne shows its richness to perfection. The floral aromas lead to a wine that has ...

94 points Vinous: "The NV Réserve Oubliée (2013 base) is the finest edition of this wine yet. Airy, weightless and gracious, but with plenty of depth, the Réserve Oubliée is absolutely fabulous. A range of floral, savory and citrus nuances emerge from a Champagne endowed with tremendous class and personality. As a reminder, the Réserve Oubliée is the same base wine as the Cuvée de Réserve, but aged an extra year on the lees and bottled under cork rather than crown seal. (AG)" (07/2019) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The latest iteration of P...

2008 Piper-Heidsieck "Cuvée Rare" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points Wine Spectator: "Like a stallion out of the gate, this shows an initial explosion of power, in the form of mouthwatering flavors and fine texture, before quickly settling into an elegant gait. The racy acidity is seamlessly knit, buoying the lacy mousse and flavors of cassis, toasted brioche and tangerine, with accents of candied ginger, hazelnut and fleur de sel lingering on the long, creamy finish. 96 points John Gilman: "The Cuvée Hemera is Henriot’s new name for their Tête de Cuvée bottling, which had previously been known as Cuvée Enchanteleurs. This is the first vintage of the house’s top of the line bottling that has been crafted from beginning to end by Cellar Master Laurent Fresnet. The wine is a fifty-fifty blend of chardonnay and pinot noir, as is the case with their Brut Millésime, but here, only grand cru vineyards are used for the cuvée. The 2005 Cuvée Hemera was aged twelve years sur latte prior to disgorgement and a finishing dosage o...

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "This great rosé combines texture with bright fruit and a bit of age. It is poised between a ripe dosage and a crisp texture, with red fruits and toastiness marking the flavors. It is a fine bottling to enjoy now. (RV)" (12/2020) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Fragrant wafts of smoke and spice accent the steeped raspberry and mandarin orange peel flavors of this tightly meshed rosé Champagne, which is backed by a vivid spine of mouthwatering acidity and is silky on the palate, with hints of dried herb, licorice and toasted almond...

93 points James Suckling: "Cinnamon and dried nutmeg add to the experience of bread dough and rose petals. Flavorful on the medium-bodied palate and finely poised with bright acidity. Medium-long on the finish." (05/2019) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "The palest of rosés, this is an elegant, structured wine. Its dryness is balanced by the fine apple and red-currant fruits and the strong sense of minerality. Fragrant and lightly structured, this fine bottling is ready to drink. Fine and lacy in texture, this is sleek and mouthwatering through to the finish, where the salinity returns, echoing a lasting note. Disgorged July 2020. (AN)" (04/2021)

96 points Wine & Spirits: "Eric Lebel achieves the beautiful color of this wine with the addition of Pinot Noir fermented on its skins. The rest of the blend includes reserve wines and selections of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier that come together in Krug’s most ephemeral Champagne, an effervescent mist of flavor with the depths of a grand cru Vosne-Romanée. Resonant bass notes hold earthy complexity while vibrant freshness rises with the bubbles. An elegant rosé to pour with thin slices of roast duck breast." (12/2015) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: ...

96 points Vinous: "Tasted from magnum, the 2004 Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra, Laurent-Perrier’s flagship Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir (on the skins) and 20% Chardonnay vinified together that has only been bottled seven times since 1982. From the very first taste, the 2004 is utterly spectacular. Rich, ample and vertical in feel, the 2004 is dazzling. Dried rose petal, star anise, tobacco, dried flowers, red berry fruit and earthy notes all grace this utterly exquisite Champagne. As good as the 2004 is today – and it is fabulous – it will be even bett...

99 points Decanter: "The first aromatic impression is surprisingly floral in the context of such a hot vintage, and then evolves to reveal elements of menthol, liquorice and yellow fruit. With aeration, the bouquet blossoms to reveal increasing complexity, including spicy notes. On the palate, this is a fleshy and densely textured Clos du Mesnil with a salty tang on the finish, one that stands out for its singularity, albeit in the context of a classic crystalline, tense purity. Bravo – a work of art! (YC)" (09/2020) 99 points James Suckling: "This is ...

100 points Wine Enthusiast: "This famed Champagne comes from one of the steepest vineyards in the whole region, facing across the Marne river. With a blend of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay, the densely textured wine shows great richness, a magnificent sense of place and structure. This is a very fine wine, a monument among Champagnes, one that will age for many more years. Drink through 2030. (RV)" (10/2020) 95 points Vinous: "The 2010 Clos des Goisses shows a distinctly tropical, exotic profile that is unusual in Clos des Goisses. Candied orange p...

(09/2019) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The latest rendition of Laurent-Perrier's NV Brut is showing nicely, wafting from the glass with scents of almond paste, iodine, white peach, warm biscuits and mandarin. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with an elegant, lively prof...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (97ST, 95WE, 94W&S, 93JG, 93JS, 92RP, 92VN, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The 1998 Dom Pérignon has an intense white-golden color and is beautifully clear and fine on the nose, which indicates a lovely maturity and displays grey bread, almond cake and iodine flavors, along with lemon and orange aromas. This clarity and mineral freshness proceeds on the highly elegant, finesse-full and silky textured palate, and the complexly flavored, very distinguished finish is dry and mineral, revealing a stimulating salinity and tension. The 1998 seems young still, but is certainly a great pleasure to drink and will be for many years. (SR)" (06/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Guy Charlemagne Brut Extra (92WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This ripe, balanced and fruity wine has good acidity as well as a poised and elegant layer of white fruits. Fruitiness contrasts with the more textured character that comes through with orange zest and a tight aftertaste. (RV)" (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of Guillaume Selosse "Au Dessus Gros Mont" Extra Brut Champagne (93JG). John Gilman: "This bottling of non-vintage Blanc de Blancs from Guillaume Selosse hails from the lieu à dit of 'Au Dessus du Gros Mont' in the village of Cramant. The vines for this bottling are seventy years of age and it was disgorged in July of 2015, with a finishing dosage of 1.5 grams per liter. This is the inaugural release of the wine, which is from the base year of 2009, with a reserve of 2008 blended in. The wine is excellent and showing quite mature at the present time, offering up a complex nose of baked apple, walnuts, a fine base of chalky minerality, just a touch of buttery oak and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite classy in profile, with a fine core, excellent mineral drive, elegant mousse and a long, complex and zesty finish. This is drinking with great style now, but still has plenty of life ahead of it." (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $345.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2008 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (98JD, 98JS, 98VN, 96DC, 96JG, 96WS, 95RP) and 1-bottle of 2009 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (97JS, 96DC, 96WS, 94JG, 94VN, 93RP, 92BH). Of the 2008 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne, Vinous writes: "The 2008 Dom Pérignon is once again stunning. More than anything else, I am surprised by how well the 2008 drinks given all the tension and energy it holds. Then again, that is precisely what makes 2008 such a unique vintage – namely that the best wines are so chiseled and yet not at all austere. Lemon peel, almond, mint, smoke and crushed rocks are all finely sculpted, but it is the wine’s textural feel, drive and persistence that elevate it into the realm of the sublime. The 2008 will be even better with time in the cellar, but it is absolutely phenomenal even today, in the early going. Three recent bottles have all been nothing short of magnificent. (AG)" (07/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne" Brut Blanc de Blancs (97VN, 96JG, 96JS, 96RP, 95WE, 94BH, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2006 Comtes de Champagne is striking, especially in the way it brings together elements of ripeness and freshness in a hypothetical blend of the 2002 and 2004. Smooth and creamy on the palate, the 2006 is all about texture. There is a real feeling of density and weight in the 2006, qualities I expect to see grow with time in the bottle. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. The 2006 has been nothing short of magnificent both times I have tasted it. Comtes de Champagne remains the single best value (in relative terms) in tête de cuvée Champagne. I suggest buying a case and following it over the next 20-30 years, which is exactly what I intend to do. There is little doubt the 2006 Comtes de Champagne is a magical Champagne in the making. (AG) 97+" (07/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Jacques Selosse "Initial" Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne (97JS, 96WS, 95DC, 94JG, 94RP, 94VN). James Suckling: "Very pronounced and wonderfully complex nose of persimmon, egg yolk, cinnamon, tarte tatin, caramel, mango pastry, apricot tart and spice box. The full-bodied palate feathers a fine line between sheer power, luscious dried fruit and laser-guided acidity. Very long and intense on the finish. " (07/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (98VN, 97DC, 96RP, 96W&S, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon is unforgettable. Rich, sumptuous and flamboyant to the core, the 2002 captures all of the radiance of a year in which ripeness in the Chardonnays was pushed to the edge. The 2002 is oily and viscous on the palate, with tremendous textural resonance in all of its dimensions. Tropical fruit, pastry and exotic floral notes all build as the 2002 opens up with air. I can still remember the first time I tasted the 2002, here in the Hautvillers cloister, with former Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. It was thrilling back then, and is every bit as memorable today. (AG)" (07/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon P2" Brut Champagne (97VN, 96JS, 96W&S, 96WS, 95DC, 95ST, 94BH, 94JG). Vinous: "The 1998 Dom Pérignon P2 is clearly heading into its next plateau of maturity, as evidenced by a host of coffee, roasted almond, butter, brioche, caramel, lemon confit and pastry notes. Even so, there is a good bit of freshness to play off a generally mature set of aromas and flavors. Readers who enjoy mature Champagne will find quite a bit to like in the 1998. Today, it is especially open-knit and giving. Two recent bottles have been terrific. (AG)" (07/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (98RP, 98VN, 97DC, 95ST, 92CG). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon Rosé is a tremendous example of this vintage at its very best. A Champagne of vertical thrust and intensity, the 2002 is rich, opulent and hedonistic from the very first taste. Readers should expect a Rosé built on a huge core of fruit. Rose petal, passion fruit and exotic flowers add shades of dimension to the wine’s decidedly flamboyant personality. What a wine! (AG)" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,070.71

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Krug "Grande Cuvée" 168 ème Édition Brut Champagne (96DC, 96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Krug's NV Grande Cuvée 168ème Édition is a classic in the making, wafting from the glass with aromas of dried fruits, pear, toasted nuts, orange zest, honeycomb and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, generous but incisive, it's deep and elegantly fleshy, with a beautifully refined mousse and an enveloping core of fruit that's complemented by the characteristic Krug patina of nutty complexity imparted by barrel fermentation. Even if this is more open out of the gates than the 2011-based 167ème edition, the 168ème edition is also the more concentrated and intense of the two. It's based on the 2012 harvest, complemented by fully 42% reserve wines—a blend of 198 wines from 11 different vintages dating back to 1996. (WK)" (05/2020)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Salon "Le Mesnil" Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne (98JS, 98WE, 97VN, 96RP, 95W&S, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Salon's releases are rare and signify a great vintage—the last release was the 2002. Coming from grand cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, this 2004 is complex and concentrated, capturing the essence of Chardonnay in Champagne. Intense minerality and ripe apple and citrus fruits accompany the purity and crisp texture that are part of its ability to age. *Best of 2016, Cellar Selection* (RV)" (12/2016)
