Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Female" California Grenache (98JD, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "I’m getting down to my last few bottles of the 2013 Grenache Female, which has been incredibly consistent and satisfying over the past 5-7 years and just about impossible to resist. A blend of 78% Grenache, 19% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre that’s mostly from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, it offers a beautiful, smile-inducing perfume of black raspberries, black cherries, spring flowers, camphor, and spice that develops additional complexity with time in the glass. Impeccably balanced, full-bodied, and opulent, yet also weightless and elegant, this is a thrilling example of Grenache that could come from no one else. " (11/2019)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98DC, 95JS, 95RP, 95ST, 95VN, 95W&S, 95WS). Decanter: "Ridge has long created a Californian classic; that broke all the rules – a Cabernet based wine grown not in Napa but on greenstone- and limestone-rich soils in the remote corners of the Santa Cruz Mountains, aged not in French oak but American. (Though Paul Draper asserts Bordeaux’s use of French oak is a post-World War I turn.) The Merlot comes from plots on heavier soils. It accounts for 28% of the 2008 which, coming after two drought years, shows great meatiness. Amid the youthful oak toast is black tea, anise, cedar shavings and bright currant, plus an intense mineral energy and beautifully finessed tannins. (JB)" (07/2012)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2014 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96RP, 93WS, 92CG) and 2-bottles of 2015 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96JS, 95JD, 94VN). Of the 2014 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Coming from the Russian River Valley and an estate vineyard that was purchased in 2012, the rich, gorgeously layered and textured 2014 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch Vineyard offers an exotic fruit profile, with notions of cassis, passion fruit, spice and dried flowers all emerging from the glass. Full-bodied, layered and rich, yet with the purity and precision that's present in all of these 2014s, drink bottles anytime over the coming decade, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it keep for longer. (JD)" (09/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2015 Occidental "Bodegas Headlands - Cuvée Elizabeth" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (99JD, 97RP, 97VN) and 1-bottle of 2015 Occidental "Occidental Station - Cuvée Catherine" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98JD, 98VN, 96RP). Of the 2015 Occidental "Bodegas Headlands - Cuvée Elizabeth" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2015 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands is the richest, deepest, and most concentrated in the lineup. It offers slightly more black fruit as well as hints of graphite, cassis, flowers, and forest floor/leafy herbs. It still shows the more fresh and lively style of the Sonoma Coast, with brilliant acidity, yet it hits the palate with an incredible amount of beautiful fruit, plenty of tannins, and a layered, complex style that keeps you coming back to the glass. As with the other releases here, it needs a year or two of bottle age." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Colgin "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100VN, 99RP, 94ST). Vinous: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb is utterly magnificent. Powerful yet light on its feet, the 1997 exudes class. Intensely floral, lifted aromatics meld into a core of dark fruit. Shades of graphite, smoke, black cherry and licorice add nuance throughout. At nearly twenty years of age, the 1997 has aged impeccably and should continue to drink well for at least another decade. This is an eye-opening Cabernet Sauvignon from Ann Colgin. (AG)" (04/2016)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The utterly perfect 2014 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (1, 500 cases) has everything one could possibly want in a Cabernet. Inky purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of white flowers, crème de cassis, hints of blackberry and boysenberry, some licorice and forest floor are followed by an enormously concentrated wine with fabulous purity, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and texture, a length of nearly a minute, and stunning flavors, with flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. This is a great, great wine and certainly one of the Cabernet Sauvignons of this vintage. (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Captivating floral lift to the very primary aromas of black cherry, cassis, minerals and earth, plus subtle notes of coffee and mocha. Tactile and sharply delineated, delivering a wonderful balance of sweet fruit and salty mineral and soil elements. Still linear but not at all angular, this penetrating wine finishes firmly tannic, classically dry, subtle and very long, with echoing mineral complexity. Really complete Cabernet here--and stuffed with flavor (ST)" (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Booker Vineyard, a blend of 74% Syrah and 26% Mataro, has gregarious aromas of baked blackberries, coffee, dark earth and licorice with loads of spicy accents. The full-bodied palate bursts with concentrated, nuanced fruits, pure notes of chocolate and floral perfume lingering in the mouth. The sheer concentration of flavor is expertly foiled by its fine, silt-like tannins and seamless freshness, and it finishes with tremendous length and detail. I appreciate how drinkable this is straight from the bottle, though it will have more to show with time in the cellar. (EB)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Looking at the two 2018s, the 2018 Amoenus comes from the Blossom Creek Vineyard outside of Calistoga and was brought up in new French oak. Both 2018s are concentrated, powerful wines. The Amoenus possesses a beautiful sense of freshness and purity, yet backs that up with a huge, opulent profile that carries incredible black and blue fruits. Showing more chocolate, tobacco, graphite, and foresty, earthy notes with air, this full-bodied beauty has ample ripe, polished tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It certainly shows the more brooding, backward, powerful style of the vintage and is built for the long haul. Hide bottle for 5-7 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following 40 years or so. 98+" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (97RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The larger production cuvée (1, 748 cases) is the 2013 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation site that's above the fog line, roughly eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its deep ruby color is followed by to-die-for notes of black raspberries, crushed violets, cassis, spice and toasted bread. Utterly perfect on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, an ethereal, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, fine tannin and crazy length, hats off to the team at CIRQ for this singular beauty. (JD)" (09/2016)
Starting Bid: $345.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine de la Côte "La Côte" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (96VN, 96WE, 93RP). Vinous: "The 2017 Pinot Noir La Côte is brisk, intensely saline and full of character. Here, the feeling is more of a linear wine built on energy and persistence more than volume. Bright red cherry, red plum, mint, blood orange and star anise add striking inner perfume and nuance. The is another wine that needs time to be at its best, but it is stunning, even in the early going. (AG) 96+" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. Of the 2017 Faethm "Fingers Crossed - Bien Nacido Vineyard" Santa Maria Valley Grenache,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Moving to the reds, the 2017 Grenache Fingers Crossed is close to 80% Grenache with the balance Syrah and Mourvèdre, that was 50% destemmed and brought up in just 35% new French oak. Rocking levels of cassis, black raspberries, cured meats, and ground pepper all emerge from the glass, and it’s full-bodied and ethereal, with incredible purity of fruit. Of the 2005 Talley "Rosemary's Vineyard" Arroyo Grande Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This is a great 2005 Pinot Noir, the best ever from Talley. The wine somehow combines huge ripe fruit with delicacy. It floods the mouth with profound currant, cherry pie, licorice, cola, raspberry, cocoa and vanilla smoke flavors, yet feels light and silky, and is thoroughly dry. That’s the magic of Pinot Noir. You can enjoy this small production wine now, and it should develop additional complexities for 10 years. *Editors' Choice*" (03/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasting the three most recent vintages of the Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon was not only a privilege, but also an intellectual and hedonistic turn-on. The 2010 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a magnificent wine. Full-bodied and opulent with terrific purity, an intriguing, gravelly, wet stone-like minerality, and a sensational perfume, it has a spectacular finish that lasted over 45 seconds, offering up copious quantities of black currants, black cherries, cedar and vanillin. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. It is accessible now because of the sweetness of the tannins, but make no mistake, there is plenty of structure underlying the luxurious fruit levels. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $970.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1900, when Georges de Latour decided to buy a small, four-acre property in the town of Rutherford as a surprise for his wife he, perhaps unwittingly, purchased a piece of Napa Valley history. The land would become the foundation for Beaulieu Vineyard, which survived Prohibition by having one of a handful of contracts to supply churches with sacramental wine. After Prohibition the winery continued to thrive, experimenting with varietals, blends and aging. Under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, the winery fast became one of California's preeminent producers.

Based on 64% Grenache, 16% Mataro, 14% Syrah, and the rest Carignan, incredible notes of blueberries, wild strawberries, licorice, new leather, herbes de Provence, and candied violets all emerge from the glass, and it's full-bodied, with an incredible sense of purity and elegance, flawless balance, and a huge finish. It has some early appeal yet is going to be best with 2-4 years of bottle age and will still be drinking beautifully at age 20." (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Long Shadows "Pedestal" Columbia Valley Merlot (95RP, 92VN, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I loved the 2014 Pedestal Merlot and it’s 81% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. It offers a downright voluptuous and incredibly sexy style in its ripe blackcurrants, toasted spice, chocolate and licorice aromas and flavors. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS (14.6% alcohol and 175 cases) is absolutely out of this world. I have given more perfect scores to this cuvée than any of the other Schrader wines. Made from Clone 4 with slight additions of Clone 6 and 337, it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, like all these wines from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. This wine has a glorious nose of licorice, cedar wood, vanillin, creme de cassis, blackberry and graphite. Super-rich and velvety, with sweet, supple tannins, an opulent full-bodied mouthfeel, and a skyscraper-like finish, this prodigious wine is drinking beautifully, and just now coming into its adolescence. It should go on for another 20-25 years. (RP)" (06/2015)

Vinous: "Dark plum, mocha, spice, licorice and asphalt meld together in the 2011 Scarecrow. One of the most powerful, resonant wines of the year, the 2011 is endowed with serious structure. Readers need to be patient. Today the tannins are super powerful, but at the same time there is tremendous complexity in the glass. The 2011 is arguably the most refined Scarecrow ever made. There is plenty of depth, but also incredible elegance and precision throughout. (AG) 96+" (11/2013)

Graphite, leather, lavender, tobacco and spices wrap around the virile, imposing finish. A wine of vertical structure and stunning detail, the 2013 is going to need the better part of the next decade to start opening up. The 2018 possesses tremendous intensity as it continues to open in the glass, revealing myriad shades of nuance. Black cherry, lavender, spice and chocolate all flesh out on a wine that balances the sumptuousness of the 2012 with some of the energy (but not the size) of the 2013. (AG)" (01/2021)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely as close to perfection as one probably can get is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a selection of their very best material. This cuvée represents 375 cases aged 20 months in 90% new French oak. Opaque purple in color and more packed and concentrated than its sibling, it is full-bodied, with blackberry and blueberry fruit, perhaps a slight suggestion of charcoal and volcanic earth and burning embers. The wine has huge structure, massive extract and is as packed and stacked as a Cabernet Sauvignon can be. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Sine Qua Non "Five Shooter" Central Coast Syrah (98RP, 98VN, 94ST). A stunning, expressive bouquet melds into layers of dark fruit, black pepper, sage, menthol, minerals and spices, all supported by intense graphite and melted road tar undertones. The wine seems to gain intensity with time in the glass, leading to a huge, explosive, saline-infused finish. The 2010 Syrah Five Shooter is a stunner from Sine Qua Non. The blend is 85% Syrah, 5% Grenache, 5% Roussanne, 3% Petite Sirah and 2% Viognier, with a total of 20% whole clusters, that spent 22 months in French oak barrels, about 59% new. (AG)" (07/2013)

Of the 2015 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Baked cranberry, cherry, clove, vanilla bean and mossy earth show on the nose of this always much anticipated bottling from the region's first cult producer. The palate is tangy with rounded black-plum, star anise and black-peppercorn flavors. It's excellent now, but those tart elements will find more integration with patience. *Cellar Selection* (MK)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "Mocha, bittersweet chocolate, tobacco, menthol and savory herbs meld together in the 2010 Le Desir. Like all of the 2010s here, the Desir is going to need time to unwind and fully come together. There is wonderful definition in the flavors, along with vibrant structure and plenty of intensity. Savory herb and tobacco are some of the notes that inform the powerful finish. Like all of the 2010s, the fruit is a bit suppressed by the wine's imposing structure today. There is no shortage of personality, though. All the 2010 needs is time. (AG) 94+" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Pott Wine "The Arsenal - Greer Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, 95RP, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Arsenal is a real stunner. Bid on this bottle of 2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Occidental (Kistler) "Cuvée Elizabeth - Bodega Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97RP, 97VN, 95JS). Vinous: "The highlight in this range from Occidental, the 2014 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvée Elizabeth is brisk, perfumed and aromatic. It is also nowhere near as alluring for the near term as the Sonoma Coast or Occidental Station. Here the expression of fruit is intensely linear, with biting acidity and plenty of tannic underpinning. Blue and purplish-toned fruit, licorice, lavender and violet give the Bodega Headlands its distinct darker shades of expression. The flavors are both vivid and transparent. In my view, the Cuvée Elizabeth is the most complete of these wines. Don't miss it. (AG)" (03/2017)

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2003 Rafanelli Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (90WE) and 3-bottles of 2006 Rafanelli Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. Of the 2003 Rafanelli Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Made from scattered vineyards around the appellation, this is a big, hearty Zin, packed with cherries, plums, blackberries, cola and cassis. This challenging vintage resulted in the highest alcohol level ever measured in a Rafanelli Zin, but it's a balanced wine." (11/2005)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 A. Rafanelli Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The Rafanelli family has been making wine in California's Dry Creek Valley since before Prohibition, though the grapes for this Cabernet were planted in 1986 on a steep, terraced hillside behind the winery. Known for his "old school" winemaking style, this is a savory, cherry-filled, unfiltered Cab with earth, leathern and chewy tannins. Its intense, mountain fruit structure will have mellowed over the years, softening the edges for a beautiful glass at this weekend's dinner party.

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 96VN, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lighter and lifted, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon shows a sweet frame of fruit with elegant French oak and baking spice scents with vanilla, nutmeg and cardamom that sways with an impressive aromatic array of cedar and cigar box, resinous purple flowers, juicy plum and chocolate ganache in the glass. Full-bodied, the wine is balanced and seamless, offering precision and focus across the mid-palate with fine-grained tannins that continue to sway with excellence before delivering a long, drawn-out finish that's simply stunning. This will be able to age for more than a decade in the cellar. (AM)" (08/2021)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2004 Rivers-Marie "Summa Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and 1-bottle of 2008 Rivers-Marie "Summa Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91BH, 91ST). Of the 2008 Rivers-Marie "Summa Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: "Not surprisingly, other than being ever-so-slightly less ripe, the expressive and strikingly complex nose is almost identical to that of the Old Vines cuvée. There is good refinement to the elegant, pure and beautifully well-balanced medium-bodied flavors that possess good supporting extract and fine length. About the only nit is a slight edginess to the finish though I suspect that this will round out soon. *Outstanding*" (10/2010)

Full, powerful, polished, with wonderfully dense tannins. The finish is long, long, long. This is amazing, I love the freshness and length. Very classy and elegant, wonderful stuff. I am wowed. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon included fruit from the 2-acre, old vine parcel that is nearly 70 years of age. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious notes of spring flowers, blackberries, black raspberries and wet rocks. The wine’s gravelly minerality and spectacular opulence and density make it an instant classic. … It showed incredibly well last year, and it still reveals the potential to possibly merit a 3-digit score – it’s that special. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, is the 2014 The Absurd, basically a choice of their finest barrels, or as winemaker and owner Benoit Touquette says, 'The crème de la crème.' This is another perfect wine equaling their incredible 2013. Yet the 2014 is slightly more forward and showy, as many 2013s are just beginning to shut down. There are 250 cases of this majestic wine that has an opaque purple color, extraordinary nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry, creosote, charcoal, toast and spice. The wine has unbelievable fruit on the attack, midpalate and finish, compelling purity, texture and a finish of close to a full minute. It is (as advertised by the winery) a 'showcase of the best of Napa Valley with the freedom of expression that results from no rules.' (RP)" (12/2016)
