A rich, aromatic Vosne-Romanée from the 1er Cru En Orveaux. This backs up to the Grand Cru Échézeaux and sits directly above the best portion of Clos Vougeot. One for the cellar if you can resist.
Price: $324.99

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is arguably the most underrated wine in the Lamarche portfolio as it is virtually always excellent but because it's a Nuits rather than a Vosne, hardly anyone notices. This offers an opportunity to those looking for excellent quality and are not unduly worried about what the label says. Though reduction presently dominates the underlying fruit there is excellent freshness and energy to the intense, concentrated and mineral-driven flavors that flash outstanding power on the focused, sappy and super-saline fini...

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Domaine Bizot Vosne-Romanée "Jachées" (94RP, (89-92BH), 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Les Jachées is striking, bursting from the glass with aromas of violets, rose petals, peonies, Indian spices, red berries and orange rind, with deeper bass notes of raw cocoa and soil emerging as it sits in the glass. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and saline, with an ample core of fruit that largely cloaks its melting tannins and a long, resonant finish. Bizot notes that its floral and exotic bouquet—as well as its relative lack of color—is very typical of the site. (WK)" (01/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (95DC, 95JG, 93BH, 92VN). Decanter: "The Clos de la Roche is attractive this year, opening in the glass with a complex bouquet of dark berries, strawberry, grilled meat, dark chocolate and pencil shavings, framed by a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and multidimensional, with a fine but firm core of tannins that seems more structurally supple than has been the case in the last few vintages chez Dujac. (WK)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $595.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Domaine Follin-Arbelet Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru (95VN, (91-94BH)). Vinous: "The 2016 Romanée Saint Vivant Grand Cru is very flattering on the nose with copious Morello cherry, wild strawberry and dark plum aromas, pressed iris flower and a subtle oyster shell note developing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, impressive weight and girth. Demonstrates wonderful complexity and harmony towards the finish. This is reassuringly profound and it should give 40 to 50 years of drinking pleasure. (NM)" (11/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Domaine Trapet Père & Fils Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-96BH), 96JG, 95VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Reduction dominates at present. However there is excellent freshness and underlying tension to the superbly well-concentrated and intensely mineral drive big-bodied flavors that flash plenty of classic Chambertin muscle on the youthfully austere and very backward finish that is explosively long. This is seriously good and the density is such that this is pretty much a block of stone today. Patience, and a lot of it, is going to be needed here but if you have it, this is potentially a great Chambertin." (01/2018)
Starting Bid: $415.00

92-95 points Vinous: "(the entire bottom of this vineyard was fried by frost, according to régisseur François Duvivier): Bright, dark red-ruby. Medicinal blueberry and licorice aromas are lifted by a minty high note; less showy and more restrained on the nose than the Taillepieds and Caillerets today. Then wonderfully dense, primary and pure on the palate, but more vertical and less opulent than the Taillepieds and Caillerets. Strong mineral energy accentuates the impression of vibrancy. A bit less open to inspection today owing to its firm tannic spine....

90-93 points Vinous: "Healthy dark red. Very ripe, tangy, alluring aromas of black raspberry, licorice, spices and black pepper lifted by a delicate floral element. Wonderfully fine-grained, savory and vibrant, with intense berry fruit energized by saline minerality. An elegantly styled Corton grand cru with terrific definition but no shortage of richness. Finishes vibrant and long, with harmonious, smooth tannins. (ST)" (01/2018) 90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A spicy and notably ripe nose flashes notes of violet and liqueur-like black cherr...
