90-92 points Vinous: "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village includes vines from Les Vigneux plus declassified vines from other parcels, picked on September 9. It had been racked three weeks prior to tasting. It has a crisp nose of brambly red berry fruit laced with potpourri and light loamy aromas. The palate is well balanced with crunchy red fruit, a liberal sprinkling of cracked black pepper and a tensile finish that neatly incorporates the 25% new oak. This is a very well-crafted Vosne Village. (NM)" (12/2020) 88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An ag...

93 points Wine Spectator: "Enticing and intense aromas of black cherry, black currant, mint and spicy oak mark this rich red. It's open and inviting, with fine harmony and length. (BS)" (03/2021) 92 points Decanter: "Even at the village level, the 2018 wines from Grivot are intense and beautiful. Enticing nose with ripe raspberries, cherries and crushed violets. Suave on the palate and quite intense with velvety tannins and a lingering finish. One of the best Vosne-Romanée village reds I tried in 2018. Destemmed and matured for 18 months in barrique, 2...

91-93 points Vinous: "Containing 40% whole cluster, the 2019 Vosne-Romanée Le Clos d'Eugénie presents a mixture of red berry fruit, espresso and light truffle aromas, nicely delineated and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, plenty of energy and more tension and precision on the finish than the Vosne-Romanée Village. Much more classic in style compared to the d’Eugénie wines of the past. (NM)" (12/2020) 89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here an expressive nose is spicier, and a bit more deeply pitched with its array o...

89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully spicy nose combines notes of hoisin and soy with those of fresh plum and violet. The sleek, delicious and well-defined middle weight flavors possess an equally lovely texture before firming up on the focused, youthfully austere and moderately structured finish. Once again, this offers very fine quality for a villages level wine and is worth investigating. *Outstanding, Top Value*" (01/2021) 90-92 points Vinous: "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village contains 20% whole bunch from the La Violette lieu-dit a...

90-92 points Vinous: "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru clearly has more clarity on the nose compared directly with the Village Cru, offering raspberry coulis, freshly picked strawberry and a touch of rose petal. The palate is well defined with a fine bead of acidity, and lightly spiced with white pepper that complements the raspberry and blackberry fruit. Moderate length. This is a very decent Les Chaumes. (NM)" (12/2020) Jancis Robinson: "East-facing site at 250 m. Brief pre-ferment cold maceration. 15–18 months in barrel, 30% new. Cask samp...

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Moderate wood influence surrounds the overtly spiced and ripe plum, dark currant and violet scents. The attractively textured, rich and sappy medium weight flavors possess very good depth on the lengthy finish where a touch of wood appears. This is quite good for its level and is a wine that should drink well on the younger side if that's your preference." (01/2020) 88-90 points Vinous: "The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village was the only cru that had been racked when I visited in mid-November. The bouquet is well defin...

2015 Domaine Francois Parent Vosne-Romanée
Back In Stock!
Francois Parent's father was one of the first vignerons in Burgundy to begin bottling as a domaine, rather than simply selling off his wine in bulk to the local negotiants. His mother helped in marketing the wines, traveling throughout Europe as one of the first grower/producers, pioneering a boutique trend that has become much more normalized today. Francois has continued in his parents' (no pun intended) footsteps, making traditional and terroir-driven wines from Pommard, as well as Beaune, Corton, and Vosne-Romanée.

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru En Orveaux is a great success, opening in the glass with aromas of cherries, plums and orange rind, complemented by hints of spices, smoke and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids and powdery tannins, it's elegant and nuanced. Mongeard notes that the vines in this parcel are planted north-south, which isn't a disadvantage in warm, sunny years like this. (WK)" (01/2021) 90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too there is enough w...

89-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village has also turned out well, exhibiting scents of wild berries, peonies, violets and grilled squab, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and nicely concentrated palate that's lively and refined. This is a lovely wine. (WK)" (01/2020) 88-90 points Vinous: "The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village has a fragrant bouquet of morello cherry and raspberry aromas. The palate is sweet on the entry, featuring notes of sour cherry and orange peel. A little compact toward the finish, but it sho...

90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village is also very promising, mingling aromas of cassis and raspberries with hints of dark chocolate, rose hips and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and vibrant, it's deep and layered, with powdery structuring tannins and a long, sapid finish. I deferred my tasting with Charles Van Canneyt until as late as possible, as he told me that several protracted malolactic fermentations had only just concluded by the end of harvest 2020. The wines were worth the wait, however, ...

88-90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An appealingly spicy nose offers up a mélange of black pinot fruit, exotic Asian tea, violet and an interesting hint of dried tangerine peel. There is both fine volume and intensity to the nicely complex medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by firm and ever-so-mildly edgy tannins though in this case my sense is that they could very well round out in time." (01/2020) 88-90 points Vinous: "The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village, aged in one-third new oak, has the best aromatics among Michel Gros’s Village Crus, with crus...
