Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1997 Domaine Huët "Cuvee Constance" Vouvray (500ml) (100WS, 99RP) and 2-bottles of 2002 Domaine Huët "Cuvée Constance" Vouvray (500ml) (99WS). Of the 1997 Domaine Huët "Cuvee Constance" Vouvray (500ml), Wine Spectator writes: " *Cellar Selection* Extraordinarily rich. An amazing amount of botrytis gives this sweet white a powerful, spicy character, its masses of ripe fruit kept lively by electrifying acidity. So concentrated it tastes as though all the flesh has evaporated, leaving only the spirit behind. Will easily last your lifetime and mine. (TM)" (02/2000)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this bottle of 1935 Taylor Fladgate "Director's Special Reserve - Richard Saybel selection" Port. "Taylor makes incredible vintage Ports. They are so long-lived, with intense richness and concentration but a racy, polished refinement that no other Port can match. I found the earlier Ports a little sweeter than the newer ones, but Taylor continues to make their vintage Ports from the best grapes in their vineyards (primarily Quinta de Vargellas, but also Quintas Terra Feita and Junco in recent years.) So there is a long line of tradition and pedigree in the wines." James Suckling, Wine Spectator, 11/2007
Starting Bid: $660.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Guiraud, Sauternes (375ml) (96WS, 95JS, 93DC, 93ST, 92RP, 92VN). Wine Spectator: Golden yellow. Butterscotch and vanilla with hints of ripe apples; full-bodied, with lots of sweetness and a spicy apricot and honey aftertaste. Excellent concentration and balance. Loads of botrytis character on the finish. Intense. Hard to refrain from drinking it now, it's so luscious and rich. *Top 100 Wines of 2004, Highly Recommended* (JS) (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 d'Yquem, Sauternes (1.5L) (OWC - 99JD, 99JS, 98RP, 97DC, (94-97VN), (95-97WE), 94WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "A very classic Yquem. Breathtakingly wide spectrum of floral honey, exotic fruit (passion fruit, mango and pineapple), caramel and marzipan aromas. But none of this is a jot too much. In fact, the wine is extremely precise and finely nuanced. Wonderful freshness and textural complexity, in spite of the considerable concentration and extravagance. Very suave and sensual finish that goes on and on. " (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1967 Suduiraut, Sauternes (93VN). Vinous: "The 1967 Suduiraut, served blind at Pichon Baron, is the best vintage from an era when the Sauternes estate was inconsistent. It has a potent Barsac-scented bouquet with orange rind, mandarin and a light adhesive tincture that turns a little chlorine-like with aeration. It remains fresh and very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied, a little drier than you might expect given the vintage, yet retains freshness and bite. Lovely orange rind and Seville orange marmalade notes abound, focused with a vivacious and again, Barsac-like finish. Excellent. (NM)" (03/2022)

Bid on this 2-500 ml bottle lot of 1994 Chateau Tirecul La Gravière Monbazillac (500ml) (92RP). Wine Advocate: The 1994 Vendange Tardive possesses a fabulous, intense perfume of exotic fruits and honey, as well as amazing richness, purity, and a level of concentration and balance that must be tasted to be believed. Already approachable, it is capable of lasting for 10-20 years. Sadly, only 50 cases were produced for the world. Monbazillac is well-known in French history, but my experience in tasting through the appellation's wines has unearthed few gems. Leave it to Eric Solomon to discover this remarkable estate. Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec Champagne, 1-bottle of 2000 Oremus Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos (500ml) (92WS), and 1-bottle of 2013 Williams Selyem "Vista Verde Vineyard" San Benito County Port (375ml). Of the 2000 Oremus Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos (500ml), Wine Spectator writes: "Losing a little flesh in lieu of structure, this is nonetheless concentrated and fresh. Peach, pear compote and floral aromas and flavors flow gracefully, picking up a mineral note on the long finish. Great for fresh fruit tarts. (BS, Web-2008) "
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this magnum of 1970 Warre's Vintage Port (1.5L) (91JS). James Suckling: "Surprisingly delicate and fruity at this stage. Ready to drink with a lightly sweet fruit, raspberry, and dark berry character and a bright acidity." (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Taylor Vintage Port (98RP, 96WE, 95VN, 95WS, 94JG, 93DC). Wine Advocate: "At present it offers very pure blackberry, mulberry, and a touch of smoke...not giving much away at the moment but surely destined to down the line. The palate is very refined, very pure with svelte tannins with ebullient ripe red fruits laced with tobacco, nutmeg and white pepper. Long and caressing on the finish, this should evolve into a masterful Taylor’s Vintage. (NM)" (07/2011)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2007 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (OWC - 98DC, 98RP, (95-98ST), 98TWI, 96JA, 96WS, 95VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: The 2007 d'Yquem is considered a perfect example of the Sauternes miracle. Despite a chaotic spring and cool summer, the botrytis transformed the grapes, giving them ideal concentration throughout October. With 137 grams of residual sugar, it offers up a complex, fresh, enchanting bouquet with aromas of apricot, pineapple, saffron, orchard fruits and spices intertwined with a touch of white truffles. Full-bodied and concentrated, layered and seamless, the wine is fresh and tense on the mid-palate, with a long, penetrating and racy finish. Superb! (YC) (10/2023)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 100TWI, 100VN, 100WS, 98DC, 97JA). Vinous: Just weeks after tasting the 2001 Château d’Yquem at the estate, another bottle was served at a lunch in London and it was perfection. The aromatics are practically identical and likewise the palate, but this bottle, which had been decanted, displays a scintilla more tension, perhaps more vibrancy that so effortlessly counterbalances the richness. Irrespective of points, it is simply one of the most magnificent wines of any kind that can pass your lips. (NM) (09/2021)
Starting Bid: $900.00

Bid on this 4-500 ml bottle lot of 1994 Château Tirecul La Gravière Cuvée Madame Monbazillac (500ml) ((99-100RP)). Wine Advocate: The 1994 Cuvee Madame may be one of the two or three greatest sweet wines I have ever tasted. Only 20 cases of this wine, harvested grape by grape from five to six passes in the vineyard per day, were made from yields of 5 hectoliters per hectare (approximately one-fifth ton of fruit per acre). It tastes like the essence of orange marmalade infused with honey, and some flowery, fruit cocktail concoction. The wine boasts extraordinary purity, and exceptional sweetness, all buttressed by refreshing acidity. Aged in 100% new oak, the wine reveals no evidence of wood, no doubt because of its phenomenal extract. These wines will be nearly impossible to find, but I hope those few lucky enough to latch onto a few 500 ml bottles will lay some away and taste them against the greatest vintages of Chateau d'Yquem or Climens. An astonishing discovery! (RP) (06/1996)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume (98WS). Wine Spectator: "Stunning. With mature, burnished notes of candied citrus peel and ginger, clove, fig, quince paste, persimmon and green tea, this offers a rare level of complexity. Yet a current of live-wire acidity still runs underneath it all, cutting through to a mouthwatering finish that makes you beg for more. A case study in greatness.*#14, Top 100 Wines of 1997* (JM)" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2009 d'Yquem, Sauternes (OWC - (98-100JG), 100RP, (97-100ST), 100TWI, (98-100WE), 98JS, 98WS, 97DC, 97VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium-gold colored, the 2009 d'Yquem bursts from the glass with gregarious crème caramel, allspice, dried apricots, mandarin peel and pineapple upside down cake scents plus a fragrant undercurrent of fungi, acacia honey, candied ginger, musk perfume and frangipani. Full-bodied and full-on hedonic in the mouth, the rich, tightly wound layers are still amazingly youthful with bags of citrus sparks and an incredibly long, perfumed finish. Possessing a residual sugar of 157 grams per liter and 13.6% alcohol as well as a laser-focused line of freshness, the rock-solid structure and through-the-roof opulence here is simply mind blowing. Pure perfection. (LPB)" (03/2019)
