Bid on this 12-half-bottle lot of 2015 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (OWC - 100RP, 100TWI, 99DC, 99JS, 98JA, (96-98WE), 98WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: Following a very long harvest stretching nearly two months, the 2015 Château d'Yquem came in at 13.9% alcohol and 144 grams per liter of residual sugar, sporting a pH of 3.65 and six grams per liter of tartaric acid. None of these numbers, however, even remotely begin to tell you how profound this wine is. The nose opens with electric notes of ripe pineapples, green mango, orange blossoms and lemon tart with hints of fungi, lime zest, crushed rocks and jasmine. (LPB) (04/2018)
Starting Bid: $2,100.00
Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 1994 Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port (93WS, (90-91RP)) and 1-bottle of 1995 Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port (90WE, 90WS). Of the 1994 Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port, Wine Spectator writes: "Wonderful concentration, with deep color and ripe fruit flavors accented by a hint of green bark. Full-bodied and moderately sweet, with big, chewy tannins, yet the finish is fine and elegant. A single quinta to watch in the future. (JS)" (04/1997)
Starting Bid: $100.00
Bid on this bottle of 1967 d'Yquem, Sauternes (100WS, 99RP, 98VN). Wine Spectator: "From one of the 20th century's celebrated vintages for Yquem, this bottle stands up to all the hype--unforgettable for its purity, elegance, harmony, its 'total' everything. Powerful, yet it seems weightless on the palate, almost defying gravity as it tangos around with its vanilla, peach and apricot flavors. Seamless, nearly endless finish. Easy to understand its reputation as the greatest Yquem of the last 35 years. (PM)" (05/1999)
Starting Bid: $790.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Taylor Vintage Port (100JS, 100WS, 99WE, 95DC, 94JG, 94RP). James Suckling: "This is, to date, the greatest Vintage Port ever from here. It overwhelmed me years ago when I tasted it from barrel, but only now is it crossing gradually into its drinking window. The intensity is still mind-boggling here, with sweet-and-sour notes as well as mounds of clay. There are violets lurking somewhere too. A full-bodied, medium sweet and sublime Vintage Port, showing forest fruits and freshly picked blackberries on the palate in the form of a creamy, focused and tannic texture." (10/2012)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 1-half-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non To The Rescue Roussanne Vin de Paille California (375ml) (98RP, 93ST, 91WS). Wine Advocate: The 2006 To the Rescue Roussanne Vin de Paille has 290 grams of residual sugar per liter. Despite its aging in 100% new oak, there is not a hint of wood to be found in the aromas or flavors. This remarkable sweet white exhibits abundant aromas of orange marmalade, rose petals, honeysuckle, brown sugar, and spice. It looks like 10W40 motor oil, but its ample acidity provides uplift and vibrancy to its enormously endowed, sweet personality. (RP) (08/2009)
Starting Bid: $125.00
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Warre's Vintage Port (95WS, 93RP, 93W&S, 92ST, 90WE). Wine Spectator: "This is a step up, with lushly textured flavors of crushed plum, currant preserves and mulled black cherry driving along nicely, underscored by licorice, black tea and warm earth. Even with the earthy flash, this stays refined and focused, with latent energy on the finish as well. No rush here, either. (JM)" (12/2023)
Starting Bid: $270.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 100WS, 98DC). Vinous: "Just weeks after tasting the 2001 Château d’Yquem at the estate, another bottle was served at a lunch in London and it was perfection. The aromatics are practically identical and likewise the palate, but this bottle, which had been decanted, displays a scintilla more tension, perhaps more "vibrancy" that so effortlessly counterbalances the richness. Irrespective of points, it is simply one of the most magnificent wines of any kind that can pass your lips. (NM)" (06/2021)
Starting Bid: $940.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port (96DC, 96WS, 95RP, 95W&S, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "Richly fruited yet almost sleek in feel, with a graphite edge providing the spine as succulent black cherry, blackberry and black currant notes show intensity and drive. Reveals licorice snap and bramble details that emerge slowly on the finish, lending a mouthwatering effect at the very end. Delicious and with plenty of life ahead. (JM)" (12/2023)
Starting Bid: $185.00
Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1977 Warre's Vintage Port (98DC, 94JS, 93WS, 92RP), 1-bottle of 1983 Warre's Vintage Port (90RP), and 1-bottle of 1985 Warre's Vintage Port (91WS, 90RP). Of the 1977 Warre's Vintage Port, Decanter writes: "There is such cleanliness to the flavours and such freshness in the aromas that it’s hard to recognise this as being 50-year-old Port. The wafts of rose petals and star anise are enticing, while the integrated components are seamless and there’s significant power driving though an unusually long, unwavering palate line. With 1977 revered as one of the great Port vintages, this definitely lives up to its esteemed reputation. (DS)" (04/2024)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Climens, Barsac (98JA, 97WS, 96DC, 96VN, 94ST). Jane Anson: "2001 is an incredible vintage in Sauternes, and one of my tasting highlights of the year was a full horizontal of wines from Sauternes and Barsac at the 20 year window. I tasted this Climens both at the time (in February), and again later in the year. It's a standout wine, with savoury dried herbs and saffron strands alongside still-juicy nectarine and fleshy white peach fruits, all kicked up a gear with freshly-grated ginger and lime zest. The whole thing is mouthwateringly tender and utterly moreish. 117g/l residual sugar, a yield of 6hl/ha, harvest 30 September to October 23 over three passes through the vineyard. 69% of the harvest went into the main estate wine." Starting Bid: $120.00
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port (OWC - 97JG, 96WS, 95W&S, 95WE, 94RP, 94ST) in original wood. John Gilman: "The 2007 Taylor-Fladgate is a beautiful synthesis of the inherent power of Taylors and uncompromising beauty of the 2007 vintage, and the combination is stunning. The refined, youthful and very complex nose offers up scents of cassis, black cherries, pepper, gentle tarry notes, woodsmoke, anise, soil and cedar. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and very light on its feet for a young Taylors, with great elegance and intensity on the attack, ripe, seamless tannins, and a huge spine of acidity that adds vibrancy to the fruit, purity to the soil expression and laser-like focus on the impeccable, long finish. This is a big boy that dances on the palate right from the outset, and is a remarkably stunning young bottle of Port. 97+" (08/2009)
Starting Bid: $360.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port (95WS, 92DC). Wine Spectator: "A ripe and rich '95 boasting a remarkable essence of crushed berries, this is classic Port. It's full-bodied and quite sweet, with the velvetiest of tannins and a long, long ripe fruit finish. *Cellar Selection, Ranked #4 of Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 1998* (JS)" (04/1998)
Starting Bid: $150.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Taylor Vintage Port (98RP, 96WE, 95VN, 95WS, 94JG, 93DC). Wine Advocate: "At present it offers very pure blackberry, mulberry, and a touch of smoke...not giving much away at the moment but surely destined to down the line. The palate is very refined, very pure with svelte tannins with ebullient ripe red fruits laced with tobacco, nutmeg and white pepper. Long and caressing on the finish, this should evolve into a masterful Taylor’s Vintage. (NM)" (07/2011)
Starting Bid: $180.00
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Warre's Vintage Port (OWC - 97W&S, 96DC, 96JS, 96WE, 96WS, (93-95RP), 93VN) in original wood. Wine & Spirits: "Half of the lot for this wine comes from the Quinta da Cavadinha, Warre’s property on the western bank of the Pinhão River, a relatively cool site facing east. The balance is from Retiro, in the Rio Torto and Telhada, a property in the Douro Superior the Symingtons purchased in 2006. Old-vine mixed plantings make up 40 percent of the blend, lending it the kind of co-fermented complexity that makes this compellingly drinkable, delicious right now, as it will be for at least the next 20 or 30 years. Its graceful, reserved finish lasts with drive, a blend of green olive, blueberry skin, purple and blackberry flavors layered over the scent of roses, esteva, black pepper and the wild Douro scrub. If you’re looking to fall in love with Port, you could start here." (12/2013)
