In 1973, Daniel Dugois bought 2 hectares of vineyard and a house equipped with wine cellars in a village called Les Arsures, where he was born. He cultivated the vineyard and sold his production primarily to Henri Maire, one of the most prominent producers in Jura at that time. In 1982, Daniel made his first harvest in his own cellars and began to sell his wines to consumers. His first ever harvest earned him his first Gold Medal for his Chardonnay at the Jura Wine Contest. Daniel and his wife Monique have continued to work on the quality of their wines...

2018 Emidio Pepe Trebbiano d'Abrruzzo
New!
Price: $99.99

94 points Vinous: "The 2018 Timorasso Derthona is a dense, opulent wine. Orange confit, pineapple, spice, dried flowers, chamomile and honey and strong petrol notes all build in this decidedly large-scaled white. Creamy and resonant, the 2018 is a total knock-out. (AG) " (11/2021)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Sine Qua Non "Aperta" Central Coast White Blend (100RP, 97JD, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "It spent around 24 months aging in 21% used barrels (two to four years old) and 79% new French oak (60% were larger puncheons). The nose opens with alluring notions of honeycomb, toasted almonds, orange blossoms, musk melons and poached pears with surfacing scents of lemongrass and preserved ginger. The rich, full-bodied palate is built with exciting tension, delivering a satiny texture and layers upon layers of apple, citrus and melon-inspired flavors with a spicy/savory undercurrent. Minerals and toasted nuts emerge on the long, long, long lingering finish. This is an astonishingly complex dry white, which I anticipate will age gracefully like an epic white Burgundy. Readers should note that this wine was decanted three hours prior to tasting, and it opened considerably over the one to two hours that I had it in the glass. (LPB)" (08/2021)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2018 I Clivi Friulano "San Pietro" Friulano Collio (91VN, 90RP) and 2-bottles of 2018 Prà Monte Grande Soave Classico (93JS, 92VN, 92WE). Of the 2018 Prà Monte Grande Soave Classico, James Suckling writes: "Very clean and fresh with ripe peaches and some ash. Medium-bodied with a tight and pretty palate that is layered and delicious. Always an outstanding single-vineyard wine. Drink now. Screw cap." (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $70.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2018 Cantine Matrone "Territorio de' Matroni" Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco . Vinous: "Musky dried apricots mix with exotic florals and crushed hazelnut as the 2018 Bianco Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio opens in the glass. This is cool-toned and pliant, yet with a bite of saline-minerality and zesty acids that keep the energy high. While more savory than sweet, it maintains wonderful freshness throughout, leaving notes of sour apple and raw almond to linger. This is a blend of 80% Caprettone, 15% Falanghina and 5% Greco. (EG)" (10/2021)
