94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Lemon oil and chamomile tincture create a lifted, ethereal nose, preceding richer notions of dried pear and apple. The dry palate reveals concentration and a fluidity that has something balm-like about it. The lemon freshness at the core stays arrow-like and darts across the palate in exciting fashion in a counterpoint to the rich fruit notes. The joy of Riesling is right here. (AK)" (11/2018) 91 points James Suckling: "Some early development, moving into preserved-lemon and lime aromas here with a lightly honeyed and spicy ...

2014 Louise Brison Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Fermented and aged in wood, this Champagne is still young but is showing fine potential. The wine's acidity gives it a crisp texture and brings out the citrus and green-apple flavors along with the nervy edge. It will certainly age, so wait to drink until 2022. (RV)" (12/2020) K&L Notes: This Champagne was made in the most expensive way possible. The entire Brison estate is organic, and the wine is entirely barrel fermented. No detail is forgotten in making the vintage wines here, as the owner, Delphine Brulez, has a diploma...

2014 Alexandre Le Brun "Cuvée Fascination" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Top Pick!
At just 7.5 acres, Alexandre Le Brun is the smallest producer from Champagne that we import, or even carry. He only makes wine from half of the grapes he brings in, selling the rest off to négociants. His production is just one thousand cases a year total. This tiny scale allows Alex to do nearly everything himself and his hands-on approach shows through in the finished product. He only uses his own estate fruit for his Champagne, and, although small, it is diverse. He farms 22 plots in eight different villages. Among these are some of the oldest vines i...

We only received 10 cases of this 2014. This is exclusively old vine Pinot Noir (over 60 years) from the best parcel in Patrick's holdings and only one press load. This is vinous, powerful, black fruited Champagne in the mold of the Vieilles Vignes Francaises from Bollinger. Because of the north facing exposure, the wine retains its finesse even at the very high level of concentration that it has. Even the fullest cellar should be rearranged for a little of this. Again, patience is needed, but will be greatly rewarded! (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)

The 2014 Franck Bonville “Millésime” Brut Blanc de Blancs is from a vintage that I have been telling anyone who will listen to load up on. This long, cool, even growing season has given us wines that remind me so much of the 1988s when they were young, and they promise to have a long life… But they taste so good that many won’t make it past tonight! This is all Chardonnay from estate-grown vines in the Grand Cru of Avize, dosed at 6.67 grams per liter. It has the freshness, the baguette toast, and the Meyer lemon cream of the best of Chardonnay in Champa...

This blend of 2/3 Pinot Noir and 1/3 Chardonnay comes exclusively from the Brochet families estate in the premier cru of Ecuiel on the mountain of Reims. It is dosed at just five grams per liter and sees 10% barrel fermentation. This exceptional vintage Champagne reminds me of some of the best 1988s that I tasted when they were young. This is streamlined, elegant and graceful Champagne with beautiful pain au levin toast and savory dark cherry Pinot power. If you like this as much as I do, it is worth getting some to age. “Classic” vintages like this are ...

93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Courier is slightly more Burgundian than the 2013 yet offers similar notes of crushed flowers, bouquet garni, game, leather, and assorted red and black fruits. It too is silky and seamless on the palate, with beautiful tannins." (02/2020) K&L Notes: In 2006, American winemaker and importer Kimberly Jones visited the Maury appellation in the Côtes Catalanes for the first time and immediately fell in love with the rugged and untamed vineyards. At the time, Maury was undergoing land consolidation, and due to the decline in...

2014 Louis Roederer Brut Rosé Champagne
Back In Stock!
95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The Roederer style has become drier as the fruit has become riper and this finely balanced Champagne is a fine example. Tautly textured and with great freshness allied to the mineral fruitiness, this wine just hints at tannins as it moves towards maturity. (RV)" (10/2020) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Rapierlike acidity creates a mouthwatering frame for flavors of steeped peach and raspberry fruit, lemon pastry cream and Marcona almond in this harmonious rosé Champagne, which is racy and finely knit, with lovely hints of licori...

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros does not quite possess the complexity and nuance of the Les Preuses this year, although it is still well defined with candied orange peel coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, a touch of spice on the tip of the tongue and plenty of salinity. I would just like to see more precision and mineral tones to come through on the finish that does not quite complete what could have been a fine Bougros. Give it 2-3 years in bottle. (NM)" (08/2016)

97 points James Suckling: "This red shows lots of redcurrants and fresh flowers on the nose. It’s full-bodied with juicy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Needs three or four years to resolve some of the tannins. Beautiful Cabernet character, but already a joy to taste." (02/2017) 95 points Vinous: "The 2014 Grand Puy Lacoste is superb. Dark, dense and inviting, the 2014 possesses remarkable depth and richness. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and tobacco all develop in the glass, but it is the overall feel that is most impressive. Silky, polish...

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A dried-orange-peel headiness on the nose reveals some development. This orange-peel notion gains more currency on the concentrated palate where a streak of freshness accommodates the slight lick of residual sweetness with ease and charm. Concentrated, layered and intense, it shows what a little bottle age does to Gewurztraminer. Lovely now, it's sure to develop further. (AN)" (08/2018) 91 points James Suckling: "A slew of candied fruits and Turkish delight on the nose, which doesn't leave you in any doubt about the grape va...

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An attractively fresh nose offers up notes of pepper, various red berries and soft earth nuances. There is both good energy and detail to the delicious middle weight flavors that exhibit only a mild trace of austerity on the relatively supple finish though there is enough tannin present to reward a few years of cellaring." (04/2016) John Gilman: "The 2014 Cuvée Exception is marvelously red fruity and vibrant this year, and this will make a lovely middleweight that would be great fun to sneak into a blind tasting of Cru Beauj...

Camus is an underrated domaine with good grand cru holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin. It's existed, more or less, since 1732, but mostly after the phylloxera epidemic, when Joseph Camus purchased abandoned vineyards. The wines are not filtered, so you'll often find sediment, but this ensures that every iota of flavor from the grape makes it into the final wine. "The prices at this domaine are down-right reasonable," according to the Burgundy Report. "Tasted at the domaine as a ‘family,’ each wine is interesting and follows the hierarchy – there’s a clear di...

93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of blackcurrants and sweet tobacco. Wet earth to boot. Full-bodied, tight and chewy with firm and silky tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Needs three or four years to soften. Try drinking in 2021." (02/2017) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a structured wine that still has serious layers of ripe fruit and rich tannins. The black currant from the Cabernet Sauvignon is balanced by the jammy richness of the delicious Merlot. It’s an impressive wine that continues the progress of this estate, owned by Lafite-Roth...

2014 Nicole Chanrion Côte de Brouilly "Domaine de la Voute des Crozes"
Back In Stock!
92 points Vinous: "Vivid ruby-red. Displays lucid aromas of fresh red berries and candied flowers, with a suggestion of blood orange emerging as the wine opens up. Clean and nervy in style, offering energetic raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a suave touch of Asian spices. Finishes sweet, silky and very long, leaving a note of lavender pastille behind.- By Josh Raynolds" (08/2016) 91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A cool and restrained nose only grudgingly reveals notes of both red and dark raspberry that is laced with plenty of pepper, spice...

92 points Vinous: "The 2014 Clos Puy Arnaud is terrific. Sweet red cherry, wild flowers, mint and white pepper give the wine a level of aromatic dimension that it did not show when it was in barrel. Silky, perfumed and exceptionally polished, the 2014 is simply impeccable today. A rush of dark red cherry and pomegranate fruit adds the closing shades of nuance in this striking, understated red. Clos Puy Arnaud is one of the sleepers of the vintage. The blend is 60 % Merlot, 35 % Cabernet Franc and 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (02/2017) 92 points Wine &...

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The first wine made at the new cellar, the 2014 Château Pédesclaux checks in as 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot aged in 65% new French oak. It's a beautiful wine in the vintage that has awesome purity and precision in its black raspberries, cassis, crushed flowers, and hints of river rock-like minerality. Medium-bodied, silky, pure, incredibly elegant and seamless, with gorgeous purity and elegance, it's a knockout wine in the vintage." (10/2018) 93 points James Suckling: "A solid 2014 with firm and silky tannins that give...

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((94-96RP), 95BH, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru has a tightly wound, stony and rather stoic bouquet at first, one that demands patience. This is not as immediate as its peers. Eventually there are subtle rose petal notes, orange zest and cold granite aromas that unfurl, giving a fleeting glimpse -- a premonition of what is to come. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannin, touches of orange rind infusing the blackberry and blueberry fruit, controlled and quite structured towards the finish that has great nervosité. Alongside the Clos Saint-Jacques this is Bruno Clair's best 2014. (NM)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2014 Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé (91WS, 90JS). Wine Spectator: "Ripe and fleshy, this exhibits peach, apple and floral aromas and flavors. There's a citrus element courtesy of lemony acidity, and the lingering finish evokes mineral. (BS)" (03/2016)

Of the 2014 Domaine Lucien Boillot & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cherbaudes", Wine Spectator writes: "This red exudes wild cherry, wild berry and floral aromas and flavors, shaded by spice. An element of stone is well-integrated on the long, resonant aftertaste. (BS)" (05/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 l'Eglise-Clinet, Pomerol (97JS, (94-97VN), 96JD, (93-95WE), 94WS, 93DC). Vinous: "The 2014 L'Eglise Clinet is a real head-turner. Gorgeous, super-expressive aromatics meld into a core of dark, sumptuous fruit. Lavender, mint, violets, graphite and crème de cassis notes abound in a powerful, structured wine endowed with magnificent purity and a skyscraper-like sense of lift. Finesse and power collide in a crystalline Pomerol of exceptional beauty. Powerful and dense to the core, the 2014 is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. (AG)" (04/2015)

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (98JS, 97WE, 95DC, 95RP, 95WS, 94VN). James Suckling: "The aromas of stones, oyster shell, blackcurrants and mushrooms are very intense. Full-bodied, dense and powerful with lots of blackberries. Great finish. Super energy and depth. Try in 2022. Fascinating." (02/2017)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2014 Maison Louis Jadot Mâcon-Villages. Wine Enthusiast: "This wine is fruity, with crisp, fresh lemon flavors. It is lightly textured and smooth, with green fruit acidity and a creamy aftertaste. (RV)" (10/2015)
