90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is distinctly more restrained with its layered assortment of plum, dark berries, earth and pretty spice elements. There is a really lovely mouth feel to the beautifully well-delineated middle weight flavors that possess plenty of minerality on the dusty and focused and slightly fleshier finale. Lovely." (04/2016) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Volnay 1er Cru Fremiets has a glorious nose that has mustered a little more va-va-voom since I tasted it from barrel last year. It lets rip with M...

92 points Vinous: "(these vines are almost 60 years old):Healthy bright ruby-red; the darkest of these '14s. Expressive, deep nose offers scents of boysenberry, violet, wild spices and meat. Very concentrated and dense but weightless, conveying an attractive restrained sweetness and a slightly honeyed character to the flavors of dark berries, minerals and meat. Precise but not at all hard, with big but pliant tannins arriving late. Some Pinot Beurrot in this parcel gives the wine an added measure of gras, notes Frédéric Esmonin. Clearly the pick of the l...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey St-Aubin 1er Cru "La Pucelle''. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too there is a very subtle hint of reduction on the pretty nose that consists of white flower, pear and citrus peel nuances. There is good punch to the tighter and admirably focused middle weight flavors that also deliver good intensity and persistence on the clean, dry and understated finale. Drink 2018+" (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine A. & P. de Villaine Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again very subtle wood influence is a background element on the presently moderately reduced nose and I would suggest decanting this for a few minutes first if you're tempted to try a bottle young. There is fine volume to the rich but punchy and mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that also possess a highly seductive texture while delivering fine depth and length on the intensely saline-inflected finale." (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne Montrache "Les Ancegnieres" ((89-91BH), (89-91RP), (87-90VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet les Ancegnières is populated with Pierre-Yves's oldest vines, around 85- to 90-years-old. It has a very composed bouquet with citrus peel, hints of honeycomb and lemon thyme that are well defined. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with plenty of roundness, giving and generous with a sensual, honeyed finish that has just the right amount of tropical overtones without becoming blowsy. This is lovely, but I would be tempted to drink this soon after it is bottled. Drink through 2024. (NM)" (10/2015)

2014 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
New!
93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Vosne-Romanée 1Er Cru Malconsorts is more opulent and generous on the nose compared to the Beaumonts with blueberry and black cherry fruit, more red plum and strawberry notes evolving with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a gentle grip in the mouth, the whole bunch fruit lending freshness and subtle sous-bois character on the finish. There is a little new wood to be subsumed on the finish, but it has great potential and represents one of the best Malconsorts you will find this year....

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (97WS, 94RP, (92-94VN)). Wine Spectator: "This is broad and meaty, with underlying animal and woodsy elements playing off the core flavors of cherry, currant and mineral. Firm and lively, with a solid grip on the lingering aftertaste, this is fluid and vibrant overall. 10 cases imported. (BS)" (03/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (95BH, 95VN, 94RP). Vinous: "Ineffable high-pitched aromas of lemon zest and silex convey a powerful impression of terroir. Wonderfully juicy and penetrating, conveying great mineral definition and site character but youthfully austere today owing to its bracing acidity. Most impressive today on the racy, extract-rich finish, where lemon, lime and crushed stone flavors build inexorably and leave the taste buds quivering. I may be underestimating this wine's potential longevity. (ST) 95+ " (09/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Mouchère" (95BH, 94VN, 91RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is sufficiently reduced that it presently masks the fruit and if you're tempted to try a bottle in its youth I would strongly advise decanting it first. Otherwise there is outstanding density to the focused and powerful middle weight plus flavors that stain the palate with dry extract that also helps to buffer the intensely mineral-driven finale that just goes on for minutes. This is flat out brilliant though note that it will not be an early drinker. In sum, this is a genuine 'wow' wine. *Outstanding*" (06/2016)

Price: $4,125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (96BH, 96RP, 96VN, 94DC). Vinous: "Bright medium red. Ineffably complex, pure scents of fresh raspberry, cherry, rose petal, peppery spices, crushed herbs and mint. Almost surprisingly silky on entry, then sweet but very restrained, even a bit ungiving, in the middle palate, with pungent red berry and mineral flavors conveying an impression of electric energy. This wine builds slowly and inexorably with air, opening out into a peacock's talk of a finish that's lifted by a pungent hint of green pepper. This youthfully austere wine will need a good 15 years to display its inherent flesh and richness but even today it stands out for its finesse. (ST) 96+" (03/2017)
