95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid ruby-red. Intensely perfumed, mineral-driven red berry, blood orange and potpourri aromas are complemented by deeper-pitched notes of cola and smoky Indian spices. Sweet, focused and light on its feet, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a silky, seamless texture. The mineral quality comes back on the endless finish, which is strikingly pure, focused and gently tannic. I was reminded of a high-end Chambolle-Musigny when I tasted this balanced but intensely flavored wine and...

93 points John Gilman: "The 2012 Family Farm Vineyard bottling of Pinot from Rhys is another outstanding example of the vintage, delivering an excellent and exotically spiced bouquet of dark berries, black currants, woodsmoke, fresh thyme, mustard seed, dried eucalyptus, beef stock, dark soil tones and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still very primary, with moderate tannins, lovely focus and grip, tangy acids and a long, classy and light on its feet finish. Beautiful juice." 94 points Vinous: "Orange rind, graphite, pine, mint and crushed rocks jump from the glass in the 2012 Pinot Noir Home Vineyard. One of the more vibrant, chiseled wines in the range, the Home will benefit from further time in bottle. The translucent, crystalline finish is a thing of beauty. In this vintage, the Home was done with 100% whole clusters. Quite remarkably, the Home Vineyard lies just 400 yards away from Family Farm, separated by the San Andreas Fault, yet the wines from these two sites are completely different. 92 points Vinous: "Crushed rose petals, mint, sweet red berries and cinnamon are some of the many notes that meld together in the 2012 Pinot Noir San Mateo. A wine of precision and nuance, the 2012 impresses for its balance. Sweet and savory notes from the inclusion of 60% whole clusters add lift on the finish. (AG)" (07/2014) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 60% Family Farm, 30% Horseshoe and 10% Alpine Vineyard, the 2012 Pinot Noir San Mateo County offers lots of peppery herbs, kirsch, spice-box, cola and dried earth to go with a ...

95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed cherry-cola, dark berry liqueur, incense and mineral aromas show superb clarity and depth, with a sexy floral quality building with air. Offers palate-staining black raspberry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter and deeper with air. This rich but strikingly lithe and tensile pinot deftly plays power and depth off of vivacity and finishes sweet, youthfully tannic and extremely long. One of the most impressive Pinots I've tasted from the New World, or Burgundy for t...

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2012 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95JG, 95ST, 95VN, 94RP, 93BH) and 1-bottle of 2012 Rhys "Swan Terrace" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95JG, 95RP, 94ST, 93BH, 93VN). Of the 2012 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir, Vinous writes: "An utterly magnificent wine, the 2012 Pinot Noir Skyline Vineyard is even more compelling from bottle than it was from barrel. Pine, menthol, dried red cherries and rose petals meld effortlessly into a core of a dark, red-toned fruit as this complex, kaleidoscopic wine shows off its pedigree. The Skyline plays across all dimensions, with expressive, high-toned aromatics and deep layers of fruit supported by insistent structure. Hints of leather, smoke, mint and licorice add nuance on the chiseled finish. This is a magnificent showing from Rhys. The 2012 Skyline was vinified with 100% whole clusters. (AG)" (07/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (1.5L) (OWC - 95ST, 94RP, 94VN, 91BH) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. One of the most impressive Pinots I've tasted from the New World, or Burgundy for that matter, in quite a while. (ST)" (05/2014)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (98VN, 96JS, 94DC, 94RP, 94WS, 93W&S, 92CG). Vinous: The 2012 Monte Bello is one of the most harmonious young Monte Bellos I can remember tasting. Seamless and voluptuous through to the finish, the 2012 is showing beautifully today. Raspberry jam, pomegranate, white flowers, mint and spices are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. A wine with a distinctly red-hued profile, silky tannins, no hard edges and exceptional overall balance, the 2012 Monte Bello is simply magnificent. The 2012 is racy but also impeccably balanced throughout, with shades of the 2001 that come through from time to time. I won't be surprised if the 2013 and 2014 both eventually surpass it, but there is no denying that the 2012 is simply stunning today. This is one of the best showings yet for the 2012. (AG) (07/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Kathryn Kennedy "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE). Wine Enthusiast: "A thoroughly elegant, serious and yet immensely enjoyable wine that stays lively many days after opening, this bottling from a regional icon shows dried violets, dried strawberry, crushed pepper and touches of leather and soy on the wondrous nose. Lithe black plum and elderberry fruits ride along a tight but forgivingtannic structure, with support from crushed gravel, asphalt, potpourri, sandalwood and cedar flavors. *Editors' Choice, Enthusiast Top 100 of 2016* (MK)" (12/2016)
