2012 Myriad "Beckstoffer Georges III" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the famous George III vineyard, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has a haunting bouquet of cedar wood, juicy blackcurrant jam and forest floor. A soil note enhances the overall picture. The wine has gorgeously sweet well-integrated tannins, no evidence of new oak (as it’s so well-integrated), a plush, voluptuously textured full-bodied mouthfeel and a knockout finish. This is sensational wine that can easily be a modern-day version of one of the great BV Private Reserves from decad...

2012 Quivet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
Quivet wines are produced by Napa Valley veteran winemaker Ted Smith who is a founding partner of the winery and who honed his skills as an assistant to Thomas Rivers Brown before moving on to produce wines for several other Napa brands. The 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet is described by the winery as: "Vibrant and concentrated, this robust Cabernet Sauvignon exudes confidence and character right out the gate. Dark and intense to the rim, and cola mix with sweet spices and a hint of molasses for a nicely layered introduction to the wine. These characters comb...

93 points Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Burgess hits the palate with an exotic concoction of dark fruit, pencil shavings, spices, tobacco, cedar, savory herbs, licorice and lavender. Dark and imposing, the 2012 possesses superb richness, with plenty of Howell Mountain character and intensity. The silkiness of the vintage has softened some of the contours, but this remains a distinctly savory and mineral-inflected Cabernet with tons of hillside character. Today, the 2012 comes across as tightly wound and in need of further cellaring, so reader...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just bottled, the 2012 Ditch Digger checks in as a blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and the balance Cinsault and Counoise. Fermented with 50% whole clusters and aged 80% in used 500-liter barrels and the balance in concrete, it offers a southern Rhone-like bouquet of kirsch and blackberry fruits, ground herbs, pepper and spiced meats. This flows to a full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and yet fresh and elegant wine that will have upward of a decade of longevity. (JD)" (08/2014) 90 points Vinou...

2012 Forman Napa Valley Chardonnay
Back In Stock!
94 points Vinous: "Ric Forman's 2012 Chardonnay jumps from the glass with bright lemon, mint, crushed rocks, citrus and slate. As always, the Forman style is all about cut, focus and energy. At times, the Chardonnay is Meursault inflected, with tons of white stone fruits, pears, crushed rocks and pure energy. Readers who enjoy bright, chiseled Chardonnays will adore the 2012. The 2012 spent seven months on its lees, and the malo was blocked, in classic Forman style. Ric Forman told me he has to go back to 1972 to see a vintage like 2011. I will take his...

2012 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Back In Stock!
94-96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Oakville Estate reveals lovely notes of crème de cassis, spring flowers, forest floor, dusty, loamy soil undertones, and a touch of licorice, medium to full body, moderate tannins and beautiful concentration. This should turn out to be a brilliant effort from Leslie Rudd, but it requires 4-5 years of cellaring. It should keep for 20-25 years. Drink through 2039. (RP)" (10/2014) 94 points Vinous: "The 2012 Oakville Estate Red is dark, rich and sumptuous. A host of exotic cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco ...

98 points James Suckling: "This is a superb merlot with black olive, blueberry, iodine, and oyster shell. Full body, tight tannins. Chocolate, walnut, and bramble berry. Superb finish. A beauty. Try now but give it four to five years of bottle age. Decant before serving now." (05/2016) 98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 100% Merlot cuvée, the 2012 Roberta’s Reserve State Lane Vineyard is, once again, flirting with perfection. A stunning nose of chocolate fudge intermixed with coffee bean, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit is intense, and f...

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Inviting, exotic coconut and vanilla scents give this vineyard designate a tropical flourish before more traditional cassis and cherry notes take the lead. Bright acidity counters velvety texture as the wine unfurls its underlying grip of tannin. Approachably rich, it rewards with full flavor and body. (VB)" (08/2017)

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Lots of cassis, lead pencil, green tobacco, and lavender notes emerge from the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard. It’s a full-bodied, ripe, yet balanced, and lively Cabernet that knocks it out of the park on all accounts. With terrific concentration, remarkable purity and elegance, building tannins, and a still youthful style, it actually reminds me more of a 2013 than a 2012. You can safely drink bottles any time over the coming two decades or so." (03/2020) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Caber...

2012 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon - The O.G." Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $220) (Previously $220)
Back In Stock!
92-95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Knockout nose combines cassis, boysenberry, violet, spices, mocha and tobacco. Plush, sweet and fat with fruit; suggests an almost roasted ripeness to its kirsch and spice flavors without coming across as stewy. Really compellingly rich and powerful wine with the serious tannic clout to support a long life in bottle. (ST)" (05/2014) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensational 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The O.G. boasts classic notes of crème d...

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Luc Morlet’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallée is a 300-case blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. A mindblowing effort, it offers up notes of mocha, forest floor, blueberries, blackcurrants, asphalt and licorice. Full-bodied and opulent, this sensational 2012 is one of the vintage’s superstars. (RP)" (10/2014) 94 points Vinous: "Morlet's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee emerges from blocks in Beckstoffer To Kalon. Blackberry jam, crème de ca...

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From his nearly six acres of Cabernet Sauvignon planted with Margaux cuttings near Vineyard 29 and Colgin’s Tychson Hill vineyards, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Morlet Estate (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) displays the vintage’s open, opulent, plush personality. With exceptional intensity, plenty of crème de cassis, vanillin, floral and lead pencil notes, this full-bodied 2012 offers low acidity as well as impressive flavors. There are 275 cases of this gorgeous red. It should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2014...
Price: $199.99

92-94 points Vinous: "Bright, medium ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, black cherry, minerals, smoke and licorice are lifted by a violet topnote. Densely packed, ripe and seamless, with lovely depth and complexity to its claret-like flavors of currant, minerals and tobacco leaf. Really spreads out to saturate the palate on the long back end, which features building tannins and persistent sweetness of fruit. This very harmonious wine promises to be fat and rich for Viader's flagship blend. (ST)" (05/2014) 93 points James Suckling: "A juicy and rich w...

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What a glorious statement for Cabernet Sauvignon, Buccella’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has an opaque purple color, a beautiful nose of forest floor, white flowers, blueberry and black raspberry, along with a telltale cassis and subtle background oak. Full-bodied, rich and multi-dimensional, this is fabulous 2012 that’s just coming into its own. Look for this wine to drink well young, as it already is, and evolve for 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2015) 94 points James Suckling: "High-toned aromas of ripe berrie...

91-94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red-ruby. Lovely floral lift to the aromas of raspberry and minerals. Tight and serious in the mouth, showing moderate density but terrific definition to its red fruit flavors complicated by a suggestion of incense. Turned plumper with aeration but this is still not a particularly opulent style. Ripely tannic and very long on the aftertaste. Winemaker Andy Erickson notes that this vintage is much more typical of its site than the 2011. (ST)" (05/2014) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine...

From the winery: "York Creek Vineyard, situated high on Spring Mountain, overlooks St. Helena and the Napa Valley from the west. Ridge came here in 1971 for the old-vine petite sirah. We first harvested York Creek zinfandel in 1975, and have made it in every vintage since."

2012 Quivet "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The best of the 2012 trio, and that’s saying something as they’re all impressive, is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. This one exhibits more minerality and lots of spring flowers in addition to blueberry, blackberry and dark raspberry fruit. It is loaded, full-bodied and opulent, with voluptuous texture and terrific purity, power of presence and length. This is a stunner from winemaker Mike Smith. Drink it over the next decade or more. (RP)" (10/2014) 92 points Vinous: "Quivet's 201...

2012 Rivers-Marie "Corona Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The opaque purple-hued 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Crona Vineyard, from gravelly, stony soils in the western Oakville hills, is the most intense, massive, structured and tannic wine of this group of 2012s. Aged in 75% new oak (250 cases produced), it offers up notes of licorice, graphite, vanillin, baking spices, blueberries and blackberries along with stupendous extract, richness and structure. Drink it over the next 20+ years. Rivers-Marie takes its name from Thomas Rivers Brown, the famous wine consultant, and Gen...

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "From an estate vineyard high atop the appellation and blended with 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec, this is a bold, balanced wine made by Julien Fayard. Juicy blackberry and blueberry layer along soft, fine-grain tannins, making an impression on the palate. A creamy richness lingers on the finish, accented by black licorice. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (09/2015) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Dense, rich and concentrated, with layers of chewy blackberry, wild berry, black licorice and fresh-turned earth, accented by ceda...

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Grenache, which incorporates 9% Syrah and 9% Cinsault, gives up classic Grenache kirsch and berry fruits, cured meats, licorice and herbs de Provence in its full-bodied, rich and layered profile. There’s a healthy dose of tannin here, so give it a year in the cellar. This was aged 14 months in 500-liter neutral barrels, and going forward, there will be more concrete aging brought to play here. (JD)" (08/2014) 92 points Vinous: "The 2012 Grenache is built on gorgeous aromatic complexity and nuance. Rose...

2012 Myriad Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
90 points Wine Spectator: "Tight, young, dense and tannic, with a rich, well-focused core of dark berry, licorice, graphite and cedar. Well-structured and expansive on the finish, even as the tannins clamp down. (JL)" (09/2015)
Price: $74.99

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines is essentially a reference to two old vine blocks planted on the traditional St. George rootstock, which was in existence long before the AXR rootstock became popular (and turned out to be incredibly cursed because it was prone to phylloxera). This 2012 old vine Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely fabulous. It is dense opaque purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of black cherry and cassis, some background oak and graphite, but what really stands out is the great purit...

2012 Rombauer "Stice Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
92 points Wine & Spirits: "Known for its luxurious style of Napa Valley cabernet, Rombauer takes a more detailed approach to this single-vineyard wine in 2012. At Stice Lane in St. Helena, the vines grow in the gravel of what was once a riverbed. And as ripe and supple as their fruit may be, this wine retains its shape and dimension, finely drawn with black-olive savor and rich tobacco scents. Lively and satisfying, this has a wild edge and the stamina to age for a few years, as well as the juiciness to enjoy now with a thick-cut T-bone. " (12/2015) 90...

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Zinfandel is a big, sexy wine that’s loaded with notions of crushed berries, blueberry, mint and floral-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, up front and beautifully textured and layered … As always, I had a great visit with winemaker Anthony Yount. The wines continue to go from strength to strength, and at this point, are a match for anything coming out of the west side of Paso Robles. These are high-quality wines that merit attention. 2012 Hall Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
92-94 points Vinous: "Graphite, ash, smoke, incense and licorice all jump from the glass in the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District, a wine that is full of aromatic complexity, nuance and structure. The typical, rich lush Hall fruit is there, coupled with plenty of underlying grip and tons of Diamond Mountain personality. A brooding, backward wine, the 2012 is going to need time to soften. (AG)" (11/2013) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Juicy black cherry and vanilla wrap around sizable mountain tannin making for a full-bodied experience of t...

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Morlet "Bouquet Garni" Bennett Valley Syrah (96RP, 93VN, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Luc Morlet further demonstrates his genius with his Syrah called Bouquet Garni from Bennett Valley, which is bottled without fining or filtration. There are only around five barrels (125 cases) of this 100% Syrah that tastes like it includes some Viognier in the blend (because of the floral and lavender notes). The 2012 Syrah Bouquet Garni offers up fabulous notes of black truffles, lavender, roasted herbs, graphite, blackberries and meaty charcuterie. Other than a handful of Syrahs from Sine Qua Non, this French-tasting Syrah is the closest thing I have tasted to Guigal’s famous Côte Rôtie La Landonne. Drink this sensational Syrah over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $72.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 97JS, 96RP, 96VN, 95CG, 95WE, 93WS, 92W&S). James Suckling: "Amazing aromas of blueberry, blackberry, mineral and bark. Complex nose. Full body plus super integrated tannins with superb balance and depth. Coffee and chocolate too. Very long and mind-bending. A tribute to the vintage. Drink or hold. A long life ahead of it. " (11/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity. (JD) 97+" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Merryvale St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon ((91-93RP), 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena offers a classic marriage of power and finesse. Beautiful deep ruby/purple, it’s almost opaque to the rim, with stylish blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, a hint of incense and crushed rock. While its minerality and precision are on display in the full-bodied mouthfeel, there is a freshness, vigor and uplift to all these component parts. This is a beauty, and should turn out to be a noteworthy wine from a great vintage. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95ST, 94VN, 93JG, 93RP, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid ruby-red. Intensely perfumed, mineral-driven red berry, blood orange and potpourri aromas are complemented by deeper-pitched notes of cola and smoky Indian spices. Sweet, focused and light on its feet, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a silky, seamless texture. The mineral quality comes back on the endless finish, which is strikingly pure, focused and gently tannic. I was reminded of a high-end Chambolle-Musigny when I tasted this balanced but intensely flavored wine and suspect that it will age slowly and gracefully over at least the coming decade. (ST)" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "G Major 7 Study'' Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Winery notes: "G Major 7 Study Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from selected fruit off the 575 ovx vineyard and is named after a classic jazz guitar chord. Like its namesake, it is composed of four of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Merlot. G Major 7 is highly nuanced and provides a profound sense of elegance and complexity, changing with every swirl and sip. The nose reflects subtle floral notes, which develop into deep, crushed berry and earth flavors on the palate. Its tannins are refined and seamlessly integrated. The aging potential is 25 plus years."
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2012 Hall "Rainin Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WE, (92-94VN), 93WS) and 1-bottle of 2012 Hall "The Bishop" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WE, 94WS). Of the 2012 Hall "The Bishop" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bishop moves slightly in the direction of more blueberry and black raspberry fruit. It has slightly more floral notes, a saturated and impressive purple/black color, full-bodied opulence and, again, a stunning richness and texture. Quite deep, full, powerful and age-worthy. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94JS, 90RP, 90VN). James Suckling: "A soft and round red with black currant, lavender, hints of cedar and sandalwood. Full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Long and beautiful. Nice tannin texture." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95ST, 94RP, 94VN, 91BH, 90JG). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed cherry-cola, dark berry liqueur, incense and mineral aromas show superb clarity and depth, with a sexy floral quality building with air. Offers palate-staining black raspberry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter and deeper with air. This rich but strikingly lithe and tensile pinot deftly plays power and depth off of vivacity and finishes sweet, youthfully tannic and extremely long. One of the most impressive Pinots I've tasted from the New World, or Burgundy for that matter, in quite a while. (ST)" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $245.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)
