97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate (850 cases), is sensational and about as profound as Napa Cabernet can be. A wine of great intensity, inky purple color, notes of penny, graphite, blackberry and cassis, with a background of wet rock-minerality. The wine is dense, full-bodied, powerful and capable of lasting another 20-25 years. (RP)" (10/2014) 91-93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ripe aromas of cassis, black raspberry, licorice, dark chocolate and minerals, complicated by gunpowder a...

About the producer: "Robin Daniel Lail’s heritage began in 1879 with the founding of Inglenook Vineyards by her great -granduncle, the iconic Captain Gustav Niebaum. By the early 1890s, this brilliant man’s obsession for achieving the pinnacle of excellence earned Inglenook wines the status of being considered by many as the finest produced in the country. The determination to achieve excellence was carried forward through the decades following Niebaum’s death in 1908, with a crescendo in the thirty years following the repeal of Prohibition under the m...

96 points Connoisseurs Guide: "We have lately come to the conclusion that the Keefer Ranch Vineyard just may be one of the best Pinot sites around, and Kosta Browne's 2012 version goes a long way in confirming our feelings. It is wonderfully rich in very pure and precise fruit with a lovely veneer of rich and wholly sympathetic oak, and its remarkable layering and striking palatal length make it a wine that compels sip after slow sip. Even though young, it is a brilliant wine of great reach and range. *Three Stars*" (07/2014) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's...

94 points Wine & Spirits: "This comes from Jadot’s five-acre holding in Clos Vougeot. The vines in Jadot’s holding are 50- to 60-years-old, located from halfway to two-thirds of the way up the hill. My notes from the blind tasting read like a lecture from Jacques Lardière, the recently retired technical director at Jadot, who often spoke as if he’d been dynamized for a biodynamic prep: 'Floral buzz. The feel of limestone in the tannins. Energized. Vigorous.' Aside from the energy in the wine, there is a lovely richness, the powerful tannins seamlessly me...

92 points John Gilman: "The Taupenot parcel in the premier cru of la Riotte is also not young vines, as these are now more than fifty-five years of age. This is very transparent and refined in 2012, delivering a superb nose of red and black cherries, espresso, woodsmoke, gamebirds, a touch of chicory, dark soil tones and a touch of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and tightly-knit, with a fine core of fruit, firm, ripe tannins and a long, primary and focused finish that closes with a bit of youthful herbacité today. This will be lo...

91-93 points Vinous: "Gorgeous aromatic lift, precision and tension are the hallmarks of the 2012 Volnay Fremiets. Here the fruit takes on more burnished shades of color, with hints of dark red and black berries, crushed flowers and sweet spices. The Fremiets is a wine of total nuance and precision, and shows the more finessed side of the year. (AG)" (01/2014) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, slightly roasted aromas of blackberry, licorice and smoke. Sweet on the attack, then thick and fine-grained in the middle, with dense dark fruit...

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and manifestly earthy and sauvage nose offers up notes of red and dark currant, humus and underbrush. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the beautifully delineated medium weight plus flavors that possess terrific focus and plenty of minerality on the strikingly long finish. As is usually the case this is markedly austere at present and will need plenty of cellar time before it's ready for prime time but it should be well worth the wait. *Don't Miss!*" (01/2014) 92-95 points Stephen Tanzer...
Price: $249.99

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A markedly earthy nose features notes of very ripe dark currant, game and leather hints. Here too there is a lovely sense of energy and punch to the muscular but not really rustic broad-shouldered flavors that also possess very good if not sensational mid-palate concentration before culminating in a balanced and palate coating finish." (01/2014) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Corton Grand Cru Cuvee de Bourdon from Laurent Ponsot has a f...

98 points James Suckling: "The aromas to this wine are very complex and brooding with black currant, sage and spearmint. Sous bois and wet earth too. Then turns to black fruits. Entrancing nose. This is full-bodied yet tight and focused with compressed tannins and a long finish. Very intense volcanic sea salt to the wine. A much more subtle and mind-provoking style. " (07/2015) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is a relatively powerful statement from the new owners. Dense rub...

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled six months prior to my visit and scheduled for release late in 2018, the 2012 Hoffmann Vineyard Shiraz is a tour de force. Between the mint and floral aromas, vanilla oak and deep, plummy fruit, you'll forgive me if I didn't notice this wine's considerable alcohol (it's 15.6%). Full-bodied, rich and supple, the long, licorice-tinged finish is swaddled in the softest, most-cuddly tannins imaginable. This is a beauty!" (08/2018)
Price: $449.99

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru from Louis Jadot has a very perfumed and floral nose with dried violet petals infusing the mixture or red and black fruit. This gains intensity in the glass, hints of winegum developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and well judged acidity, the oak beautifully interwoven. It is still very backward, more so than the say Cécile Tremblay's Chapelle-Chambertin, but there is a pleasing sense of ten...

92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe and brooding nose that is intensely sauvage in character also grudgingly displays an array of various dark berries cut with plenty of floral influence. This is a markedly muscular wine with excellent size, weight and an almost pungent minerality adding lift to the concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that culminate in an extract-rich, balanced and hugely long finish. This is an impressive old school Corton that is notably firm but not particularly austere." (04/2014) K&L Notes: PLEASE NOTE: This product ...

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Luc Morlet’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallée is a 300-case blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. A mindblowing effort, it offers up notes of mocha, forest floor, blueberries, blackcurrants, asphalt and licorice. Full-bodied and opulent, this sensational 2012 is one of the vintage’s superstars. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (95WE, 94RP, 94VN, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This wine displays a broader fruit profile than The Rocks is often known for, with aromas of plum leading to crushed rock, cracked pepper, olive, herbs and smoked meat. The texture is captivating, both elegant in its styling yet rich, commanding attention with floral notes on the finish. (SS)" (09/2015)

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98JD, 96WS, 95VN, 95WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "A classic wine from this estate, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon gives up tons of lead pencil shavings, toasted bread, sweet black currants, and graphite in a pedal-to-the-metal, rich, locked and loaded style. Possessing no hard edges, full-bodied, richness, no weight and a killer finish, this tour de force in Washington State Cabernet will drink brilliantly for another two decades or more." (01/2018)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2012 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and 1-bottle of 2012 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Of the 2012 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Notes on the vintage and the winery from Antonio Galloni writes: "Mark Aubert is pretty emphatic in stating that 2012 is the greatest vintage he has seen in his 29 years of making wine. Good amounts of rain during the first part of the year put the vines in the conditions to set a healthy crop with no stress. The 2012 Chardonnays saw native fermentations that Aubert described as smooth. The wines were aged for about a year in barrel with no racking, followed by a brief period of about three months in tank prior to being bottled in December 2013. " (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 d'Issan, Margaux (95RP, 94DC, 93VN, (91-93WE), 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Château d’Issan, builds on the richness of the second wine and adds more body, structure and density. It has an inky purple color and a stunning nose of spring flowers, blueberry and blackberry fruit as well as touches of incense and graphite. Medium to full-bodied and stunningly concentrated, this 2012 is a great success in the vintage, one of the superstars. Moreover, its precociousness suggests it could be drunk in the next 4-5 years or cellared through 2025. I underrated this wine dramatically in my report of April, 2013. (RP)" (04/2015)

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95VN). Vinous: "The 2012 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most complete of these Pinots. It is also by far the most intense. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and menthol notes all take shape in the glass. The style is broad, ample and super-ripe. Amazingly, with time in the glass, the wine comes together very nicely, but it really does need a lot of time. A juicy, boisterous finish rounds things out. The UV-SL is the Pinot that most clearly defines Mark Aubert's deeply personal approach to Pinot Noir. (AG)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (98RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing similar to last year, the 2012 Ermitage le Meal is a blockbuster that's about as voluptuous and sexy as Hermitage gets. Loaded with cassis, black raspberry, leather, dried violets and wild herbs, this beauty is full-bodied, has tons of sweet tannin and brilliant purity of fruit. Given its wealth of material, low acidity and incredible texture, it should drink well all of its life. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96VN, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine seems slightly more expansive, shares the black ruby/purple color with all of it siblings, and has a boatload of crème de cassis, incense, licorice, graphite and vanilla along with plenty of spice box and forest floor. This is a killer, full-bodied, super-duper, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Bodegas Caro "Caro" Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza (98JS, 94WE, 91VN). James Suckling: "Incredible aromas of spice, cedar, walnut and dark berry. Floral too. Spectacular nose. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a racy and refined finish. Fresh and succulent. Made from old vines of Malbec in Compuertas and Cabernet Sauvignon from Altamira. Such finesse. Half the normal production. The best wine ever from the Domaine Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and Nicolas Catena winery. Drink or hold." (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe nose features notes of plum, dark berries, earth and a beautiful array of spice elements where the wood treatment is reasonably discreet though my no means invisible. There is excellent volume and plenty of punch to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that display plenty of minerality on the delicious, balanced and lingering finish where the wood reappears. This compact and powerful effort is not particularly refined but has the balance to reward extended cellaring." (10/2014) K&L Notes: PLEASE NO...
Price: $1,350.00

95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is similar to the regular cuvée from a compositional standpoint but the fruit is denser, slightly riper and more complex as well. The very concentrated broad-shouldered flavors possess excellent concentration as the copious dry extract both coats the palate and buffers the extremely firm tannic spine on the explosively long but impeccably well-balanced finish. This is distinctly old school in style and will require extended cellaring to arrive at its peak. I would not recommend buying this ultra-serious...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94WS, 93DC, 93RP, 93VN). Wine Spectator: "Rock-solid, with a hefty core of fig, blackberry and black cherry fruit, wrapped in chestnut and tobacco leaf notes and carrying through a lavender- and tar-framed finish. Dense and grippy, showing a slightly old-school shading. Should cellar well. (JM)" (11/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Bodega Headlands - Cuvée Elizabeth" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As good as the Cuvée Catherine is, there is another Occidental Pinot that is profound. There are 2, 000 cases of the 2012 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvée Elizabeth. This wine reminded me of my earlier days in Burgundy tasting the Grand Cru Musigny. Incredible floral notes, sweet raspberries and blueberries as well as wet rocks soar from the glass of this profound, medium to full-bodied, gorgeous Pinot Noir made from 100% Calera clone. Stunning ripeness, great acids, and terrific delineation are all present in this super-intense, fragrant, modern classic from Steve Kistler. It should drink well for at least a decade, possibly a lot longer. (RP)" (01/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Valdicava "Madonna del Piano" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (98JS, 96WS, 95VN, 93RP, 92WE). James Suckling: "A complex red with rose petals, violets, crushed stones and cherries follows through to a full body and chewy tannins that are poised and polished. Extremely long and intense. A top wine for the vintage. " (04/2018)
Starting Bid: $411.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP, 96WS, 95VN, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dark, robust and juicy in the glass, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is still firm with generous oak essence on the nose with elements of Chambord, plum reduction and blackberry jus. Full-bodied, the palate offers a juicy, fruit-forward expression with an intense weight and volume for Cabernet, which evolves to show elevated alcohol across the mid-palate. The wine continues to offer a hedonistic and pleasurable expression and shows the first signs of the wine going from young, vibrant and juicy to matured, tertiary and elegant. I would drink this over the next few months or keep it in the cellar for another four years before opening. (AM)" (04/2021)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Sticks and Stones is a smoking blend of 63% Grenache, 19% Mourvedre and 18% Syrah. Cherry blossom, cassis, wild flowers and licorice can all be found in this full-bodied, supple and elegant wine. It has no hard edges, but thrilling purity and a sexy style that keeps you coming back to the glass. Bottles wouldn't last long at my house, but this will evolve gracefully on its balance and purity. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97DC, 97JS, 96RP, 95VN, 93WS). James Suckling: "Glorious purity of fruit here with blackcurrants, blueberries, dark chocolate, fresh herbs and forest floor. Hints of mint. Full body, seamless tannins and wonderful balance. Tight and compacted tannins with beautiful fruit and great length. Hazelnut and chocolate. Goes on for minutes. One of the best Opus in years. Compacted and beautiful." (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $150.00

93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Deep ruby. A brooding and very reserved nose features aromas of dark berry fruit liqueur along with plenty of earth and underbrush nuances that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent phenolic maturity to the supporting tannins that shape the suave, round and seductively textured flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration along with outstanding persistence. This is not an especially big Charmes but it's deceptively structured as the mid-palate seems quite forward yet the finish tigh...

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing even better from bottle than barrel, the 2012 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is a fabulous effort that oozes notions of cassis, black raspberry, violet, incense and spice-box. Medium to full-bodied, with a gorgeous mid-palate and building, fine tannin, enjoy this ripe, layered, textured beauty over the coming 10-15 years. Made from 100% Syrah aged in new barrels, it’s gorgeous. (JD)" (12/2014) 95 points Wine Spectator: "Rather tightly packed, with loganberry, bitter plum and raspberry coulis notes forming the c...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend ((96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 96RP, 94JS, 92WS, 91VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is stunning, and certainly not far off the smaller production Elysian release, although it has a more open, sexy, ready to go style. Loads of mulled blackcurrants, dried violets, chocolate, tobacco, and cedar pencil notes give way to an incredibly sexy, full-bodied 2012 that has loads of fruit, no hard edges, and the weightless, elegant style that sets the 2012 vintage apart. It’s a stunning wine to drink over the coming 15-20 years." (03/2020)
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)
