2012 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame - Yayoi Kusama Edition" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
96 points Decanter: "A generous golden colour betrays the dominance of Pinot Noir in the blend; this theme thereafter maintained by aromatics of fig, wild strawberries and Mirabelle plums; behind that, jasmine, red apples and a distant whiff of woodsmoke. Engaging already, in other words. One’s impressions are confirmed and amplified on the palate, with the aspiration voiced by both chef de caves Dominique and Didier, to allow the ‘cooler’ Pinot Noir sites full rein. This is eloquently evidenced by a subtle and deftly textured structure, the primary frui...

2012 Domaine Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers"
Back In Stock!
92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An agreeably fresh if restrained dark berry fruit nose of newly turned earth and sauvage notes leads to strikingly intense, powerful and concentrated medium-weight flavors that are built on a pungent minerality, all wrapped in a complex, explosively long, balanced and driving finish. This is a dazzlingly good effort though note well that it is expressly built to age and it will need plenty of it. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*" (01/2014) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" ...

2012 Domaine Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes"
New!
90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An ultra-elegant and intensely floral nose of red currant and raspberry aromas is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is a lacy and pure mouth feel to the lightly mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that possess plenty of energy on the balanced, cool and beautifully persistent finish. A classic Charmes of harmony and grace. *Outstanding*" (06/2014) 90-93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright red. Complex nose melds red berries, cardamom, flowers and soil tones. Ripe, smooth...

98 points Wine Enthusiast: "This single vineyard, one of the steepest in Champagne, produces fabulous wines. Richness restrained by the minerality from the terroir is balanced by the structured Pinot Noir fruits that bring touches of toast, spice and white fruits. Drink through 2025 at least. (RV) 12/2021" (12/2021) 97 points James Suckling: "Aromas of bread dough, mandarin, strawberry, raspberry and light dry earth follow through to a full body with lightly candied fruit, phenolic tension and a clear, bright finish. Mineral. Pure. Dry and layered at t...

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of all their vineyards, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate contains 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by wonderful notes of sweet crème de cassis, black raspberries, spring flowers, a hint of toasty oak, and a full, multidimensional, layered mouthfeel. It should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)
Price: $159.99

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and manifestly earthy and sauvage nose offers up notes of red and dark currant, humus and underbrush. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the beautifully delineated medium weight plus flavors that possess terrific focus and plenty of minerality on the strikingly long finish. As is usually the case this is markedly austere at present and will need plenty of cellar time before it's ready for prime time but it should be well worth the wait. *Don't Miss!*" (01/2014) 92-95 points Stephen Tanzer...

91-93 points Vinous: "Gorgeous aromatic lift, precision and tension are the hallmarks of the 2012 Volnay Fremiets. Here the fruit takes on more burnished shades of color, with hints of dark red and black berries, crushed flowers and sweet spices. The Fremiets is a wine of total nuance and precision, and shows the more finessed side of the year. (AG)" (01/2014) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, slightly roasted aromas of blackberry, licorice and smoke. Sweet on the attack, then thick and fine-grained in the middle, with dense dark fruit...

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Generous if not dominant wood serve as a not-so-subtle backdrop to the intensely sauvage and spicy red currant, cassis, plum and pungently earth aromas. The attractively textured and mouth coating large-scaled flavors enjoy copious amounts of palate coating and tannin-buffering dry extract along with plenty of minerality that adds lift to the imposingly structured finish. This massive effort is very definitely old school and there will be no point in opening this before at least a decade of aging has occurred. *Do...

95 points James Suckling: "This is very classy with mineral, black currant and spice character. Shows chili and Thai basil too. Full body, firm tannins and a bright and persistent finish. Extremely long and elegant. Best ever from here in years?" (07/2015) 93 points Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a very pretty, mid-weight wine. Eucalyptus, mint, rose petal and bright red berry are pushed forward in an attractive, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon built on class. The tannins are still a bit sinewy, so a few more years in bottle will only be...

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. 92 points James Suckling: "Plenty of fruit yet this remains subtle and tight. Hints of vanilla. Medium body, medium tannins and a flavorful finish." (12/2016) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Tight, rich and layered, centered on a core of dusty blackberry, licorice, dried herb and savory underbrush. Complex, with narrow, well-balanced flavors. (JL)" (11/2016) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "A blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller additions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this is a likable wine, rich in red berry, currant and vanill...

96 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is ultra-cool and restrained aromatically with its airy and even elegant aromas of intensely floral, spicy and stony wild dark berry scents that are also trimmed in just enough wood to warrant commenting on. There is a gorgeous texture to the equally mineral-inflected and muscular broad-shouldered and impressively concentrated flavors that possess a Zen-like harmony on the impeccably well-balanced, moderately austere and hugely long finish. This should be genuinely wonderful if given at least a decade's snooze i...

95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is similar to the regular cuvée from a compositional standpoint but the fruit is denser, slightly riper and more complex as well. The very concentrated broad-shouldered flavors possess excellent concentration as the copious dry extract both coats the palate and buffers the extremely firm tannic spine on the explosively long but impeccably well-balanced finish. This is distinctly old school in style and will require extended cellaring to arrive at its peak. I would not recommend buying this ultra-serious...

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Fairchild Estate "Sigaro Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "A dark, sumptuous beauty, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Sigaro has developed nicely over the last year. Savory, floral and mineral notes add nuance to the intense, racy fruit in this voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. A creamy, textured finish laced with hints of iron, sage and anise rounds things out beautifully. The 2012 isn't quite as explosive as it was last year most likely the result of its bottling a few months before this tasting. Drink through 2027. (AG)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine William Fevre Chablis 1er Cru "Les Lys".
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay (100RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Remarkably, both vintages of Peter Michael’s top Chardonnay selection, the Point Rouge, may merit perfect scores. A selection of the best barrels, it is meant to age for 30 or more years. It represents the crème de la crème essence of what this estate is about. Helen Turley first coined the term by putting red dot stickers on the best barrels in the cellar, hence the name Point Rouge. This cuvée is made from Old Wente selections and some of the estate’s oldest vines, particularly the 25-year-old vines in Belle Côte. Drink through 2030. (RP)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Peay "Les Titans" Sonoma Coast Syrah. Husband-and-wife team Nick Peay and Vanessa Wong are the people behind these elegant wines from the extreme coast of Sonoma. The Les Titans exhibits the savory notes and gracefulness associated with truly cool-climate Syrahs. From the producer: "The nose reminds us of a white pepper and nicoise olive inflected meat sauce, perhaps after braising a leg of lamb. Thyme, tarragon and sage provide an herbal edge and gives lift. The palate adds lead and graphite flavors to huckleberry and dark sour cherry fruit flavors. The wine is focused and has some texture but is not fat or heavy. The soft tannins provide delineation and structure and bode well for what will happen in the next 10-15 years in the bottle."
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Foley’s top wine is the inky/purple-colored 2012 Claret, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It ratchets up the level of concentration, offering a big, sweet bouquet of white chocolate, smoky oak, espresso beans, licorice, forest floor, blackberries and cassis. Viscous and thick with oodles of fruit and glycerin, and a long, dense, 50-second finish, this is a killer expression of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (98RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing similar to last year, the 2012 Ermitage le Meal is a blockbuster that's about as voluptuous and sexy as Hermitage gets. Loaded with cassis, black raspberry, leather, dried violets and wild herbs, this beauty is full-bodied, has tons of sweet tannin and brilliant purity of fruit. Given its wealth of material, low acidity and incredible texture, it should drink well all of its life. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Jack Quinn "Agave Rose Vineyards" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Agave Rose Vineyards from Jack Quinn is fabulous. A rich, explosive wine, the 2012 captures the essence of the year in its racy, voluptuous fruit and enveloping personality. Raspberry jam, spices, flowers and cinnamon meld into the super-expressive, pliant finish. Winemaker Benoit Touquette has done a fabulous job with the 2012. This gem is as good as it gets for the money in Napa Valley. Quite surprisingly, Jack Quinn remains a real insiders' wine, although I can't imagine that will be the case for too much longer. (AG)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $107.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is arguably the most dense and compact of these Pinots. Here, it is the wine's structure that stands out most. Whereas most of the 2012 Rivers-Marie Pinots are drinking well right now, the Occidental Ridge is a wine that needs to be cellared for at least another year or two. Firm tannins support a salivating finish laced with dark red and blue tones fruit, crushed rocks and chalk. A dollop of whole clusters (10%) adds nuance. Readers who can find the Occidental Ridge should not hesitate, it is fabulous. (AG)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Thibault Liger-Belair Moulin-à-Vent "La Roche" ((91-93VN), (89-91RP)). Vinous: "An array of red-toned fruit, slate, crushed rocks and flowers inform the 2012 Moulin-à-Vent La Roche. Energetic and focused to the core, the 2012 impresses for its pure energy, focus and cut. The lifted, chalky style of the 2012 is hugely attractive. Today, the 2012 is tense and wiry, but it should start softening a bit over the next year or two. What a gorgeous wine this is. (AG)" (01/2014)
Starting Bid: $101.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 95VN, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With the lowest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in of any of the wines from this vertical, the 2012 final blend was 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Production across the board in 2012 was high, and reflected in the 3, 977 cases made at Spottswoode. This is a dramatic, flamboyant, modern-day version of the 2002. Dramatic blueberry, black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, along with camphor, charcoal, white flowers and foresty notes all emerge from the impressive aromatics that soar from the glass. The intense, explosively rich, full-bodied palate is layered with beautiful purity, stunningly sweet, silky tannins and terrific presence and complexity. This is a gorgeous wine on a relatively fast evolutionary track, I suspect, but certainly it has 30 years of upside left. (RP)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 The Mascot Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. The grapes for this wine come from younger vines on the Harlan and Bond estates and is spearheaded by Bill Harlan's son, Will. From the producer: "The growing season of 2012 was defined by ideal conditions - warm, gentle, and even - and the resulting wine reflects this benevolence. The nose is wrapped around a core of red fruit and subtle spice. Upon entry, a spherical density expands into lush, vibrant warmth. Continuing easily across the palate, finely textured tannins resolve into a lengthy finish. The 2012 is generous and welcoming in its youth, and for the patient it promises deeper layers as the years pass."
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP, 96WS, 95VN, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dark, robust and juicy in the glass, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is still firm with generous oak essence on the nose with elements of Chambord, plum reduction and blackberry jus. Full-bodied, the palate offers a juicy, fruit-forward expression with an intense weight and volume for Cabernet, which evolves to show elevated alcohol across the mid-palate. The wine continues to offer a hedonistic and pleasurable expression and shows the first signs of the wine going from young, vibrant and juicy to matured, tertiary and elegant. I would drink this over the next few months or keep it in the cellar for another four years before opening. (AM)" (04/2021)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (96WE, 95JD, 94WS, 93JS, 93RP, 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* This combines considerable power and concentration with rich, impressive fruits. It has both style and elegance, with density to give it great aging potential. The tannins are firm while also having a velvet texture. The wine, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, is for serious aging. Drink from 2025. (RV)" (05/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 95WS, 94RP), 1-bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96JS, 96VN, 94WS), and 2-bottles of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96VN, 94JS). Of the 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Paul Hobbs "Crossbarn" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 90RP). James Suckling: "A rich and flavorful red with black currants, chocolate and hints of spices. Full and balanced with beautifully polished tannins and length. A fine and gorgeous wine. Drink or hold. " (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos - Clos des Hospices" (95WE, 93VN, 93RP, 93WS, 93BH). Wine Enthusiast: "Bought by Christian Moreau's great-great-grandfather at the Hospices de Chablis in 1904, this parcel lies within the Grand Cru of Les Clos. It's a superrich Chablis of great density and concentration. Spice, apricots and intense citrus provide the hallmarks of a wine for long aging. Drink from 2019 (RV)." (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97DC, 97JS, 96RP, 95VN, 93WS). James Suckling: "Glorious purity of fruit here with blackcurrants, blueberries, dark chocolate, fresh herbs and forest floor. Hints of mint. Full body, seamless tannins and wonderful balance. Tight and compacted tannins with beautiful fruit and great length. Hazelnut and chocolate. Goes on for minutes. One of the best Opus in years. Compacted and beautiful." (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (96WS, 95DC, 95RP, 95WE, 94JS, 94VN). Wine Spectator: "A ripe, macerated version, displaying plum, cherry, tobacco, earth and spice flavors. A beam of lively acidity in the middle elevates this. Ends with elegance, supporting tannins and fine length. Best from 2022 through 2036. (BS)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Purlieu "Le Pich" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Fully ripe and rich, this is also quite deep and tannic. A potent expression of Cabernet, with a mix of loamy earth and dried dark berry flavors. Drink now through 2023. 1, 500 cases made. (JL)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Rivers-Marie "Silver Eagle Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN, 91BH, 91ST). Vinous: "Deep and powerful, the 2012 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard is especially brooding in this vintage. Black cherries, tar, smoke and licorice all burst from the glass in an explosive, full-bodied Pinot. This is one of the more reticent wines in the range, with a burly personality that is going to take some time to fully come together. Initially quite dark, the 2012 brightens up considerably with time in the glass, suggesting a future with plenty of potential. Hints of cranberry, pomegranate and orange peel leave a lasting impression on the finish. The 2012 was fermented with 10% whole clusters. (AG)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 95VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Note from 2013 review, re-reviewed with no new note in 2014: We finished the Chardonnay portion of the tasting with Mark Aubert’s favorite wine, the 2012 Chardonnay Lauren Estate, which comes from rich Goldridge soils. There are 1, 000 cases of this straw/greenish-colored beauty fashioned from various clones, including the Old Wente, Hyde, Hudson Corton-Charlemagne selection and the Mt. Eden clones. It possesses more of a tannic backbone than its siblings because of its grip. Full-bodied with lots of honeyed citrus, orange marmalade and abundant fruit on the attack and mid-palate, this youthful Chardonnay seems barely touched by its oak aging. (RP) 98+" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Le Gay, Pomerol (OWC - 95JD, 95VN, (93-95WE), (92-95WS), 94RP, 92JS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2012 Le Gay is beautifully seductive, powerful and layered from start to finish. A wine of crystalline precision and nuance, the 2012 literally sparkles with striking aromatic presence and fabulous overall balance. Lavender, slate, mint and crème de cassis are some of the many notes that blossom in a silky Pomerol that has it all. I imagine the 2012 will reward readers with many years of fine drinking. (AG)" (01/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Hologram "Weitz Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon.
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Blanc (100RP, 98WS, 95V). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "White wine simply doesn't get any better than the 2012 Ermitage l'Ermite Blanc. A massive, concentrated, yet insanely pure and focused effort, it has an incredible bouquet (almond paste, orange rind, caramelized peach), full-bodied richness, no hard edges and finish that just won't quit. Of all the 2012 whites, this has the most minerality, purity and precision. I'd happily drink it anytime over the coming 3-4 decades. (JD)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine de Bila Haut "Occultum Lapidem" Côtes du Roussillon-Villages (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem offers dark, mineral-laced aromas and flavors of smoked earth, licorice, wild herbs and blackcurrants to go with a firm, structured and age-worthy profile on the palate. Comprised of mostly Syrah, from schist and gneiss soils, and aged in tank and demi-muid, this superb 2012 has solid mid-palate depth, ample tannin and a beautifully focused finish. It’s a superb value that will be even better in another year or so, and have 12-15 years of ultimate longevity. (JD)" (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Rivers-Marie "Summa Old Vines" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94BH, 93VN, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An overtly spicy, cool and strikingly layered nose features notes of plum, exotic tea, floral hints as well as touches of violet and lavender. There is excellent power and concentration to the extract-rich flavors that also coat the palate with extract on the gorgeously textured, complex and balanced finish. The old vines are very much in evidence as the extra density imparts a palpable sense of focused power. I should note that the abundant extract gives this a velvety palate feel that would allow it to be enjoyed young but this possesses so much development potential it would be a shame to waste it. In a word, terrific. Drink 2020+ *Outstanding*" (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $355.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 99JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredibly ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. This wine should age well for 10-15 years, as most of the Marcassin Estate Chardonnays have done to date. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $333.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Faiveley Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-95BH), (92-95ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and manifestly earthy and sauvage nose offers up notes of red and dark currant, humus and underbrush. *Don't Miss!*" (01/2014)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru "Vaulorent" (94VN, 93BH, 92RP, 91ST, 91WS). Vinous: "Rich, ample and generous on the palate, the 2012 Chablis Vaulorent blossoms in all directions. Lemon oil, light floral honey, spice and sage notes meld together in a Chablis built on texture, grace and pure resonance. The 2012 has enough density to age well for many years, but it is gorgeous, even today. (AG)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 96WS, 95RP). James Suckling: "A relatively new addition to the Peter Michael range and made from a single vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley. Phenomenal aromas of dust, rust, blackberry, currants and dried berries. Spices such as nutmeg and cloves too. Stunning." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $273.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged in Darnajou barrels, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is filled with lavish, extroverted scents of sweet vanillin, lead pencil shavings, blackberries, blackcurrants, licorice and camphor. This gorgeous effort is very much in keeping with this showy, ostentatious vintage. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 La Vieille Cure, Fronsac (91RP, 91VN, (88-91WS)). Vinous: "The 2012 La Vieille Cure is once again a real overachiever. Round, succulent and deeply expressive, the 2012 hits all the right notes. A host of raspberry jam, iron, smoke, herb and spice notes meld together in this impressive, voluptuous Fronsac. This is a very strong showing. (AG)" (01/2016)
