92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Deep ruby. A superbly multifaceted nose offers up nose of notably ripe black berry, plum and earth as well as hints of animale and underbrush. There is outstanding power to the very concentrated and serious large-scaled flavors that are underpinned by a dense layer of dry extract that does not completely buffer the exceptionally firm tannins as they too coat the mouth. This is an old school Clos de Vougeot that is positively Cistercian in its finishing austerity. I very much like this but I would only suggest purc...

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Outstanding* A fresh, cool and restrained nose of surpassing elegance displays airy red berry fruit, in particular raspberry and currant. Interestingly for a Rugiens, this is almost delicate on the mid-palate but there is excellent power and plenty of underlying tension to the very firmly structured, linear and somewhat strict if wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. I wouldn't buy this unless you expressly intend to cellar it for at least a decade." (01/2012) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's In...

96 points John Gilman: "The 2010 Chambertin 'Clos de Bèze' from Maison Drouhin is simply a profound bottle in the making. The brilliant nose erupts in a black fruity mélange of cassis, plums, raw cocoa, gentle meatiness, fresh nutmeg, a profoundly complex base of soil and a nice framing of new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very transparent, with a sappy core of fruit, ripe tannins, tangy acids, a very, very soil-driven personality, and magical length and grip on the hauntingly pure and properly reserved finish. A brilliant bo...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Francois Lamarche 1er Cru Vosne-Romanée "Les Suchots". The Lamarche family has roots in Vosne dating to the early 18th century, and the domaine itself came about in the early 20th century under François' grandfather, Henri. Today, the domaine is still run by François with the help of his wife, daughter, sister, and niece.
Starting Bid: $290.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Chênes" ((91-94VN)). Vinous: "The 2010 Volnay Clos des Che^nes comes across as big, powerful and structured. Layers of dark fruit fill out the wine's muscular frame nicely in this intense, deep Volnay. The 2010 will require patience, but it is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. This is a decidedly masculine style. (AG)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $146.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Thibault Liger-Belair Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94RP), (91-94ST), (90-93BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Charmes-Chambertin is striking for its weightless elegance and finessed, silky tannins. The use of 20% whole clusters gives the Charmes gorgeous aromatic lift and expressiveness. Persistent saline notes frame the eternal, mid-weight finish. Liger-Belair reports he had a very high percentage of shot berries in this parcel. The Charmes is made from purchased fruit from a parcel that sits just below the Laticieres/Chambertin border. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $440.00

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too there is mild reduction that does not completely hide the subtle aromas of red berry fruit, crushed herbs, earth and a hint of the sauvage that continues onto the intense, robust and powerful flavors that are underpinned by relatively fine tannins on the moderately austere, linear and persistent finish of impeccable balance. This is packed with upside potential though note that ample cellar time will be required." (01/2012) 93 points Vinous: "Good medium red. Very pure, deep, bright aromas of dark berri...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay 1er Cru "Caillerets" ((90-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This isn't quite as complex but it is more elegant with wild berry, spice, stone and floral nuances. There is a sense of striking purity of expression to the wonderfully intense, vibrant and detailed middle weight flavors that also evidence a touch of austerity on the balanced, long and very serious finish. *Outstanding*" (04/2012)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Suchots" (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An ultra-elegant nose displays admirably pure red berry fruit, floral and spice notes. There is equally good purity to the rich, intense and remarkably vibrant flavors that possess excellent volume along with an abundance of dry extract that confers a velvety texture to the linear, well-balanced and moderately austere finish. " (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $272.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Louis Jadot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Beaux Monts" ((91-94BH), (91-93ST), (90-92RP), (89-92WS)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is also notably ripe with a pungent and highly expressive nose of cassis, menthol and wood toast where additional breadth is present in the form of wet stone and spices. The detailed and highly energetic middle weight flavors possess excellent definition and seem built on a base of firm minerality while terminating in a tension-filled, harmonious and highly persistent finish. Text book Beaux Monts." (12/2011)

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clean veins of saline minerality buttress a core of expressive fruit in the 2010 Bonnes-Mares. This focused, beautifully articulated wine is endowed with marvelous length and sheer energy. Sweet floral notes add lift on the close. This parcel sits on the Morey side of the vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. (AG)" (12/2011) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Wild aromas of musky, briary black raspberry, cola, pepper, spices and flowers. Round and deep in the mouth, wi...

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Chenes" (96JG, (93-95RP), 94BH, 93ST). John Gilman: "The kingpin Volnay in the cellars is simply stunning this year and the 2010 Lafarge Clos des Chênes is going to be well worth a special search of the market to secure a few bottles. The brilliantly complex and classy nose offers up a magical mélange of red plums, cherries, a nice touch of blood orange, woodsmoke, gamebirds, raw cocoa and a brilliantly pure and complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very complex, with a sappy core, very suave tannins, brilliant focus and superb length and grip on the utterly classic finish. I had the ridiculous good fortune to taste the 1945 Clos des Chênes on this trip, and the 2010 could very well end up when all is said and done as magical as that great wine! A brilliant Clos des Chênes. (Drink between 2025-2075)" (11/2011)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "La Riotte" (91BH, (89-90RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "**Outstanding** This is also quite ripe with earthy red cherry, plum, earth and spice hints preceding the solidly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that also possess unusually fine tannins that contribute to the refined mouth feel of the moderately structured and beautifully complex finish. As with virtually all of the wines in the Taupenot 2010 range, this has a palpable feel of energy to it and you just feel like drinking this, if for no other reason that all of the structural elements are in perfect harmony. Note however that despite the refinement this is firm, mildly austere and will need plenty of cellar time." (01/2013)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (98BH, (96-98VN), 98WS, 97RP, 97ST). Vinous: "The 2009 La Tâche presents a rich tapestry of nearly indescribable elegance. The aromas and flavors seem to hover on the palate in this intensely sweet, perfumed La Tâche. Bright floral notes, hard candy and mint ring out on the finish. (AG)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $5,100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru ((92-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A slightly riper blend of red and blue Pinot fruit, violets and plenty of warm earth also suffuses the rich, full-bodied and very serious broad-shouldered flavors. This enjoys an abundance of tannin-buffering dry extract that confers a sappy texture to the driving, complex and hugely long finish. This is a first-rate example of this uneven appellation and well worth considering." (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $293.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Vincent Girardin Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Knockout nose combines raspberry, spices and flowers; the most ethereal of these 2010s to this point. Juicy, pure and precise if youthfully tight, offering lovely inner-mouth lift to the complex flavors of red berries accented by orange peel, spices and flowers. Finishes very long and brisk, leaving the taste buds vibrating. A beauty, but give it six or seven years in the cellar. (ST) 93+" (03/2013)
Starting Bid: $540.00

95 points Vinous: "(13.7% alcohol; 3.45 pH; 3.89 g/l acidity; production just under 35 h/h): Medium red with a faint suggestion of amber at the rim. The wonderfully complex yet discreet nose combines the fruits, flowers and spices of the '15 and the brooding medicinal character of the '12, presenting fruit aromas of raspberry, strawberry and cranberry lifted by white pepper, pungent spices and chalky verve. Wonderfully juicy, savory and tactile, showing outstanding intensity and cut, with the wine's aromatic treble notes of red berries, spices and rose p...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Volnay Les Taillepieds shows gorgeous energy in its freshly cut flowers, vibrant red fruit and persistent minerally notes. This mid-weight, gracious Volnay impresses for its focus and nuance. Clean, saline notes frame the long finish. (AG)" (12/2011)
