96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Unquestionably one of the gems in the vintage is the 2008 Pontet-Canet, which reminds me of the 2005 with its concentrated, deep, powerful style. Beautiful dark fruits, graphite, obvious minerality, and classic Pauillac lead pencil notes all emerge from this still youthful, full-bodied, and pure 2008 that’s 4-5 years away from maturity and will keep for 30+ years. Hats off to Alfred Tesseron for another awesome wine that ranks up with the crème de la crème of the vintage." (02/2019) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A ca...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Olivier Bernstein Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers" ((91-93BH), 91ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is relatively strongly reduced though the medium-bodied flavors are pure and refined with an obvious stony character that continues onto the austere, restrained, harmonious and beautifully balanced finish that offers excellent length. The tannins are well-integrated and ripe and this should enjoy an upside of at least a decade though it should also be approachable before then." (01/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (96JD, 96RP, 95DC, 95WE, 94JS, 94ST, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the wine of the vintage, Pontet Canet’s 2008 boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious aromas of sweet blueberries, blackberries and black currant fruit intertwined with lead pencil shavings, subtle barbecue smoke and a hint of forest floor. Full-bodied, with fabulous richness, texture and tremendous freshness, this first-growth-like effort is more developed than the uber-powerful 2010. Give it 5-8 years of cellaring and drink it over the following three decades. Bravo! (RP)" (05/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Olivier Bernstein Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Champeaux" ((91-93ST), (90-92BH)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Very sexy aromas of pure black raspberry, smoked meat, fresh herbs and spices. Silky-sweet and very intense, with the stem component adding spice and definition to the complex dark fruit and smoked meat flavors. Densely packed, juicy and a bit youthfully imploded. Finishes very long and spicy, with a firm underlying spine for aging. (ST)" (03/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru ((91-94BH), 94W&S, 94WS, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "Very focused and juicy, with pretty raspberry, currant, violet and stone aromas and flavors that meld nicely with the firm structure and sleek profile. Elegant overall, with beautifully defined fruit and nice length. Best from 2013 through 2028. 10 cases imported. *Collectibles* (BS)" (09/2010)

96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Made from 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot, the 2008 Le Dome comes from a tiny site not far from Angélus and is made by Jonathan Maltus. This beauty boasts a deep ruby, opaque color as well as a seductive, forward style its black and blue fruits, lavender, spring flowers, and forest floor aromas and flavors. Incredibly elegant on the palate, with medium to full body, sweet tannins, not a hard edge to be found, and a great finish, it’s fully mature today (and drinking beautifully!) but will cruise for another decade in cold cellar...

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94JS, 94VN, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The medium to deep garnet colored 2008 Cos d'Estournel is blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Pow! The nose explodes with notes of baked cherries, preserved plums, fried herbs, beef drippings and warm cassis with wafts of wood smoke, salami and tobacco leaf. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant and earthy/savory in character, sporting beautifully ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note. (LPB)" (11/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97DC, 97WE, 95JS, 94JD, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the -wine of the vintage, - the 2008 should have been purchased before it began to soar in value because of the significance of the number 8 in the Chinese culture (denoting good luck). Representing 40% of the production, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc offers aromas of high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, earth, cedar and asphalt. Full, rich and stunningly concentrated, I doubt it is inferior to the 2010, just more classic as well as slightly more forward and a degree weaker in alcoholic potency (12.5% versus 13.5%). (RP)" (05/2011)
