93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification. Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. 2007 Malescasse, Haut-Médoc (1.5L)
Top Pick!
Château Malescasse is an historic property ideally situated on gravel soils close to the Gironde River just north of Margaux. While it is true that 2007 will never have the power or authority of the finest vintages of the decade, the best wines display a remarkable ripeness and an admirable richness of texture. These are medium to full-bodied reds with soft tannins that will make great near to medium-term drinking. They are priced appropriately and many, like this 2007 Malescasse, offer exceptional value.

2007 Buty "Columbia Rediviva - Phinny Hill Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah (1.5L)
New!
96 points Wine Enthusiast: "From the winery’s Phinny Hill vineyard, the Columbia Rediviva is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 52% Syrah. Complex and satiny, it’s a riveting wine, inky and bursting with a sensuous mix of berry, cassis, mocha, loam, cinnamon and spice. Tremendous density and depth; despite its youth the wine curls around the tongue like thick smoke, showing more and more detail. *Cellar Selection*" (05/2011) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Polished, round and complex, this is distinctive and generous with its dark berry, chocolate and pomegranate f...

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more. 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Petit Verdot. It offers up a splendid bouquet of toasty new oak, earth notes, espresso, incense, blackberry, and plum. A bit more structured than the Palengat cuvee, it is slightly denser, layered, and intense. This very lengthy effort will benefit from 5-7 years of cellaring and will offer a drinking window extending from 2015 to 2037. (JM)" (08/2010) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full medium ruby. Lovely aromatic lift to the a...

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Steinhauer Ranch was very good...Interestingly, each year when I taste through these wines, the sum of the individual parts is always the best wine...Nevertheless, it is an exercise in single vineyard terroirs and is an interesting process. Usually there are around 250 cases of each of these single vineyard offerings. The single vineyard offerings are all noteworthy, and analytically, they are more similar than dissimilar." 91 points Robert Parker: "A strong effort in this vintage, the evolved, perfumed, purple-tinged 2007 Cheval Blanc offers complex aromas of menthol, cedarwood, mulberries, and black currants. Medium-bodied with beautiful fruit, sweet tannin, and a heady finish, this lovely wine should drink well for 10-15 years." (04/10) 89-92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good ruby-red. Pure nose offers blackberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Supple and sweet, with nicely integrated acidity that's in harmony with the wine's silky texture...

Cain makes some of the most classically styled and age-worthy red wines in California. They are not bawdy, voluptuous wines, but wines of grace and class. The 2007 Cain "Five" is the perfect example of this. From an incredible vintage where a lot of winemakers made flashy wines, this blend of 68% Cabernet, 16% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc shows remarkable restraint. Made entirely from fruit grown in the Cain Vineyard, the "Five" is balanced and rich, but still intense. It will benefit from aging five to seven years, and even u...

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Insignia Proprietary Red Wine reveals the most seductive crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and licorice notions with touches of violets, eucalyptus, chocolate box and unsmoked cigars plus a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied with tantalizing opulence yet compelling restraint, the palate beautifully juxtaposes the rich, ripe fruit with wonderful freshness and a firm yet plush backbone, finishing beautifully perfumed. (LPB)" (08/2018) 96 points Vinous:...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Both of these Cabernet Sauvignons are soft, elegant, dark ruby/plum/garnet-colored, evolved, medium-bodied efforts with attractive notes of spice, earth, red and black currants intermixed with herbs and background oak... Heidi Barrett is the consulting winemaker and the well-known Jim Barbour is the viticultural manager. Both are identical blends of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "From 2009, Labégorce-Zédé will no longer exist, being amalgamated with Château Labégorce-Margaux. So this 2007 is one of the last vintages. The wine has solid but lively black fruits, the tannins dark, firm and full of blackberry juice flavors with a touch of cranberry dryness. It is definitely for aging. (RV)" (06/2010) Wine Spectator: "Delicate aromas of currant and flowers follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and an aftertaste of licorice and delicate berry. Fresh and elegant. 97 points Decanter: "While touches of mocha and wood spice are still evident, waves of Mediterranean herb wash over the palate and the finish lingers with mint and mineral notes. Surprisingly fresh with substantial yet well balanced structure promising plenty of life ahead. According to winemaker Renzo Cotarella, Solaia starts to express its true personality at 10 years old. This is certainly the case here as the wine evokes place rather than its grape varieties. (MM)" (02/2018) 97 points James Suckling: "This is a subtle and racy wine. Balanced, with ...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Very similar to the 2006, Kameron's '07 Bordeaux blend, which is based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is upfront in blackberry, cherry, cassis, oak and spice flavors. It's quite tannic, with a puckery astringency that suggests needed time in the cellar. *Cellar Selection*" (08/2011)

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of northern California’s watershed vintages for Bordeaux varietals, according to Allison Tauziet, this wine revealed great potential from the day the first grapes were crushed. It possesses a dense purple color, massive fruit, soft but high tannin, and a structural profile somewhat similar to the 2002. There appears to be more underlying minerality in the 2007, but the sweetness of the tannin, the enormous concentration of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) intermixed with graphite, chocolate, coffee and crushed rock characteristics is striking. This is a compelling, even prodigious wine that hits all the palate’s sweet spots, possesses phenomenal upside potential, and is a modern day legend in the making. (RP)" (06/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The staggeringly rich, complex, harmonious, impeccably well-balanced 2007 IX Proprietary Red Estate (1, 400 case produced) exhibits aromas of spring flowers, cedarwood, Asian spices, licorice, blueberries, and blackberries. A distinct liqueur of minerals buttresses the full-bodied, massive concentration, giving an overall impression of elegance, purity, and harmony. This is another seamless tour de force in winemaking. It should drink well for 25 or more years. (RP)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2007 Arrowood "Monte Rosso" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WS) and 1-bottle of 2007 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91VN). Of the 2007 Arrowood "Monte Rosso" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyards is a classic. This wine still has plenty of tannin left, as well as terrific concentration, power, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Dense purple, it offers loads of graphite, loamy soil scents, new saddle leather and lots of blackberry and cassis fruit. This killer Cabernet Sauvignon should continue to age brilliantly for another 25 or more years. (RP)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Kathryn Kennedy "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the flagship wine from the seven-acre estate vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the combination of soil type, aspect, and modern organic viticultural techniques results in a profound and age-worthy expression of terroir-driven Left Bank-styled California Cabernet vintage after vintage. 2007 is regarded as a blockbuster vintage for many Northern California regions, but in the the cooler Santa Cruz Mountains it was more restrained by comparison. This wine retains its classic claret-like profile, with aromas of blackcurrant, minerals, savory herbs, and a little earthy spice. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, with a strong mineral vein and acidity to balance the richness of the fruit. The finish is earthy. Enjoy young with decanting or lay away for further development in bottle.

Full-bodied, yet elegant and polished in texture, finishing with black licorice, cedar-laced oak and nutmeg-infused tannins, yet the flavors flow through nicely. (JL)" (03/2011)

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97JS, 95JG, 95RP, 94VN, 94W&S). James Suckling: "Blueberries, currants and flowers. The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Bordeaux Blend (92JG, 91ST). John Gilman: "The bouquet is deep, pure and quite youthful in its mélange of cassis, cigar smoke, a touch of new leather, dark berries, a bit of tariness, lovely soil tones and lead pencil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and complex, with a beautifully pure core of fruit, nascent complexity, firm, but ripe and measured tannins, very good acidity and great length and grip on the still quite reticent finish. This is a very classy 13.3 percent alcohol and has the impeccable focus and balance to show for it! I may well be underestimating this beautifully structured cabernet a bit. 92+" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (92WS). Wine Spectator: "Ripe and fleshy, with rich plum, wild berry, spice and savory herb notes that are complex, full-bodied and expansive on the palate, ending with firm tannins and a dash of espresso. (JL)" (11/2009)

Sweet floral and spiced notes meld together in an open-knit seductive Cabernet Sauvignon that is just beginning to show the first signs of aromatic development. Ripe, voluptuous and racy to the core, the 2007 will continue to drink well for another 15+ years. (AG)" (04/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WE, 93ST, 91JS, 91VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The full-bodied, powerful, pure 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is another outstanding effort revealing notes of spring flowers, toasty oak, creme de cassis, licorice, and graphite. One would have to go back to the 1990, 1991, 2001, or 2002 to find a Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve this impressive. The 2007 should evolve for 20-25 years. (RP) 95+" (12/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Chimney Rock Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinous: "Expressive aromas of plum, cherry, mocha, cedar, brown spices and earth. Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN, 91DC). Vinous: "Bright dark ruby. Very ripe aromas and flavors of dark berries, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Fine-grained and light on its feet, with the exotic oak character typical of Silver Oak nicely supported by its intense fruit. Harmonious acidity and a slightly herbal quality contribute to the suavity of this wine. Expands nicely on the back half, with the fine-grained tannins coating the palate. An excellent vintage for this bottling: not a heavyweight but balanced and alive. (ST)" (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet in color with a lingering touch of purple, the 2007 Madrona Ranch Proprietary Red has a truly profound nose—wood smoke, beef drippings, licorice, black soil and truffles—over a core of blackberry preserves and Black Forest cake with black pepper, cinnamon stick, potpourri and dried mint nuances. Still very primary, the full-bodied palate is built like a brick house, with firm, ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with epic length and on a compelling mineral note.
