94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Spicy and detailed, layered with sweet grass and lemon meringue. Shows wonderful dry extract, dense and complex, with terrific midpalate concentration and exceptional length and viscosity. Focused and fragrant, it goes into the deep, bold flavors of the best Washington Sémillon. " 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The white wines begin with the 2007 Semillon (70%)-Sauvignon (26%) with an additional 4% Muscadelle. The Semillon was barrel-fermented, the Sauvignon tank fermented. Medium straw-colored, it exhibits a fragr...

2007 Justin "Savant" Paso Robles Red Blend
Back In Stock!
91 points Wine Enthusiast: "This blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and a drop of Malbec, presumably for color and body, represents a big step forward for Justin. It has the structure and impressive dryness of a fine wine, with pure, deep flavors of black currants and cedar. Delicious and elegant, it should hold in the bottle for 3-5 years." (03/10) Justin's Savant is a modern take on the meritage - combining Syrah (62%), Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) and Malbec (4%). Its brick red color has purply highlights at the edges; aromas of dried flowers, freshly-ti...

2007 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
90 points Decanter: "This was considered a great, great vintage in northern California, but not all wines have aged well. This one is a powerful mouthful of very direct, ripe berry fruit flavours that still seem young and aromas of spice and blackberry. A cool summer, heat wave in August, and a smaller than usual crop created concentrated wines, but balanced wines that are under 14% alcohol. (EM)" (09/2019) Wine Enthusiast: "An elegant Silver Oak from this very fine vintage. It’s soft and herbal, in the way of Alexander Valley Cabernets, with tobacco, b...

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate displays a very slowly evolving nose of crème de cassis, chocolate-covered cherries, vanilla pod and smoked meats with touches of dried Provence herbs, cedar chest and cloves. Medium-bodied, plush, rich and generously fruited in the mouth, it has a wonderfully spicy character and long baking spice and black fruit-laced finish. (LPB)" (02/2018) 95 points Vinous: "Bright ruby-red. Slightly jammy aromas of blackberry, cassis and cherry complemented by spice a...

93 points Wine & Spirits: "2007 Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir Savory woodland mushroom scents lend a sense of mystery to this wine, its flavors ranging from meat to minerals. There's nothing directly fruity about it. Dark in tone but not dense, the aroma has the exoticism of Chinese medicinal herbs. An old-school California Pinot with an Old World sensibility, this should age in fascinating directions." (04/2011) 91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Shows the dry tannins and astringency of youthful Hanzell, but these Pinot Noirs are famously capable of extended agin...

92 points Whisky Advocate: "Dickel’s now-annual return to bottled in bond, this one following the release of an 11 year old last year and a 13 year old in 2019, which became our Whisky of the Year. Roasted peanuts, marzipan, sweet corn, and bakery shop, with water unlocking cherries, jelly donut, raspberry jam, blueberry pie, fresh grains, and melted caramel. Mouth-coating overall, with a delicate finish that ends with a savory back note of wild herbs. (DF, Fall 2021)" K&L Notes: The famous Dickel 13 Year Old Bottled in Bond is back! Distilled in Spring...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also 100% barrel-fermented, the 2007 Chardonnay Grangerville Vineyard reveals a light medium gold color along with aromas of nectarines, white peaches, crushed rocks, creme brulee, and honeyed lemon. Fresh, full-bodied, rich, and structured, with little oak in evidence, I would not be surprised to see this Chardonnay age for a decade or more. " (08/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 3-bottles of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Dangerous Birds" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100JS, 97RP) and 3-bottles of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Dangerous Birds" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100JS, 98RP, 97JD, 95ST, 95WS). Of the 2007 Sine Qua Non "Dangerous Birds" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache, James Suckling writes: "Full and beautiful with sliced plums and berries. Super velvety tannins. Soft too. Tight and in reserve. Phenomenal depth of fruit. This is so deep. I love it. Just a baby. A wine you really have to get to know. You have to feel it. Reminds me of the 1989 Rayas. The evolution will be amazing for decades to come." (10/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Pictures" Grenache (97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 87% Grenache, 11.5% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier, this wine has wonderful floral notes intermixed with black raspberries, black cherries, licorice, graphite and some camphor. In the mouth, more white chocolate notes appear, along with meatiness and some silky tannins. Its great purity, density and richness make me think this wine could even improve a few points and flirt with perfection. This stunning wine should drink nicely for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97JS, 97WE, 95VN, 94DC, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep purple-black colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select exudes beautiful notions of violets, dark chocolate, black olives, spice cake and cedar chest with a core of crème de cassis, blackberry pie, plum preserves and fragrant earth plus a waft of unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, super concentrated and jam-packed with multilayered black and blue fruits, it has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing long with tons of exotic spice and savory sparks. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100RP, 98VN, 94JS, 94W&S, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine, the 2007 Vecina provides a prodigious display of blackberries, charcoal, black currants, burning embers and a La Mission-Haut-Brion-like hot rock/gravelly character. The most tannic as well as most concentrated and layered of the 2007s, this is a long-term, but utterly brilliant wine. In many ways it reminds me of the Harlan Estate itself given its prodigious build and potential for extended longevity. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $385.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Not surprisingly, the 2007 St. Eden flirts with perfection. Another Pauillac look-alike, it offers up glorious aromas of cedarwood, creme de cassis, spice box, high class unsmoked cigar tobacco, roasted herbs and a hint of mocha. The complex aromas brilliantly conceal the long aging in new French oak. This compelling, singular, full-bodied, multilayered, sensational Cabernet Sauvignon can be drunk early (because of the flamboyance and unctuosity of the vintage), but promises to provide thrilling consumption in 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97JD, 96RP, 96WS, 95ST). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2007 Broken Stones is 71% Syrah, 18% Grenache and 11% Mourvèdre that also saw plenty of stems in the ferments. It too is incredibly elegant, with more plums, violets, incense and peppery aromatics. Full-bodied, silky and pure on the palate, with a killer texture, it's still youthful, but is drinking beautifully. It has another decade of longevity." (07/2018)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94DC, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with provocative notions of warm cassis, blueberry compote, blackberry pie and violets with chocolate box, licorice and menthol nuances plus wafts of wilted roses, lavender and kirsch. Medium-bodied, the intensely perfumed black and blue fruit flavors glide gracefully across the palate, revealing a myriad of earth and spice accents, all framed beautifully with super ripe, fine-grained tannins and invigorating freshness, finishing very, very long. Wow. LPB)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Kapcsándy "Grand Vin - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple in color, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard is still a baby on the nose, sporting extravagant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and spice box notes with hints of dried lavender, aged meat, tilled soil and Sichuan pepper notes with a touch of tobacco. Medium-bodied and firm with fine-grained tannins and wonderful freshness, it gives layer upon layer of black fruit and earth notions, finishing very long. Give it another 4-5 years in bottle and drink it over the next 20+. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A gorgeous offering, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate comes from a hillside vineyard located between St. Helena and Calistoga. Its dense blue/purple color is accompanied by complex aromatics of white flowers, creme de cassis, blueberry pie, charcoal, and a hint of subtle oak. With full-bodied power, stunning purity, concentration, and texture, an undeniable minerality, and a 45-second finish filled with fruit and tannin, this may be the finest wine yet produced by Jones Family Vineyards. (RP) 94+" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $70.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had always believed the 2007 Pinot Noir was the finest Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer had produced at their Estate Vineyard, but after doing this vertical and seeing the performances of the 1998, 2002 and 2004, that belief rings somewhat hollow. The still young, incredible 2007 has all the potential needed to achieve a three-digit rating in a few years. A dense plum/purple color is followed by notes of subtle smoke, barbecue spice, blueberries, red and black currants, flowers, and a smoky meat-like character that I first compared to the aroma of Peking duck. There is something exotic about this full-bodied, dense 2007. This world-class, prodigious Pinot Noir is probably better than 90% of the red Burgundies being produced. (RP) 98+" (06/2014)
Starting Bid: $290.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96CG, 96VN, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Insignia Proprietary Red Wine reveals the most seductive crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and licorice notions with touches of violets, eucalyptus, chocolate box and unsmoked cigars plus a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied with tantalizing opulence yet compelling restraint, the palate beautifully juxtaposes the rich, ripe fruit with wonderful freshness and a firm yet plush backbone, finishing beautifully perfumed. (LPB)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $720.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 98RP, 97WS, 93JS, 93W&S, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Pluribus (the highest elevation vineyard of all these parcels) exhibits tell-tale Spring Mountain characteristics of acacia (or is it violets?) flowers interwoven with blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, cassis and crushed rocks. (RP) 98+" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, (92-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot and 4% Malbec, the 2007 Oakville Estate Proprietary Red Wine has a deep garnet color and slowly evolving nose of incense, new leather, spice box and dried mulberries over a core of crème de cassis, preserved plums and mocha. Full-bodied with a firm backbone of chewy tannins and great freshness, the palate gives up plenty of savory layers and finishes on a persistent pepper and spice note. (LPB)" (12/2017)
