96 points Wine Enthusiast: "From the winery’s Phinny Hill vineyard, the Columbia Rediviva is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 52% Syrah. Complex and satiny, it’s a riveting wine, inky and bursting with a sensuous mix of berry, cassis, mocha, loam, cinnamon and spice. Tremendous density and depth; despite its youth the wine curls around the tongue like thick smoke, showing more and more detail. *Cellar Selection* (PG)" (05/2011) 94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A smoking good wine, the 2007 Buty Columbia Rediviva Phinny Hill Vineyard, a blend of 52% Syrah and 48% Cab...

2007 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Top Pick!
98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium gold colored, the 2007 d'Yquem delivers powerful scents of tropical fruits—dried mangoes and pineapple paste—accented by acacia honey, toasted almonds and woodsmoke with hints of chalk dust, kettle corn and lime blossom. The palate reveals one of those vintages that shape-shifts into an apparently drier style than it is, largely thanks to its uber-racy backbone of freshness and layered mineral-inspired flavors, finishing with a regal, satin-textured savoriness. Difficult to resist now, this will be...

99 points Wine Enthusiast: "This legendary Champagne, only produced in exceptional years, comes from the village of Le Mesnil in the Côte des Blancs. It is made from 100% Chardonnay and aged for many years before release. Its minerality, concentration and beautiful fruit are still astonishingly young and deserve further aging. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (12/2018) 98 points Decanter: "A year marked by frequent changes in weather, ranging from sunny conditions in June and July, a cool August and then a return to sunny weather in September. The vintage bene...

97 points Wine Enthusiast: "Powered by dry botrytis, this is a wine with immense potential. It has weight, complexity and richness, all under the cloak of botrytis. To leaven the power, there is acidity, but this is certainly for aging. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (06/2010) 95 points Wine Spectator: "Dried lemon and floral aromas lead to loads of botrytis spice and bitter lemon peel in this young, full-bodied sweetie, with hints of lively lime and honey. Medium sweet. Very intense. *Collectibles* (JS)" (03/2010) 92-95 points Stephen Tanzer's Internation...

2007 Malescasse, Haut-Médoc (1.5L)
Top Pick!
Château Malescasse is an historic property ideally situated on gravel soils close to the Gironde River just north of Margaux. While it is true that 2007 will never have the power or authority of the finest vintages of the decade, the best wines display a remarkable ripeness and an admirable richness of texture. These are medium to full-bodied reds with soft tannins that will make great near to medium-term drinking. They are priced appropriately and many, like this 2007 Malescasse, offer exceptional value.

2007 Daftmill "Winter Batch Release" Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)
Top Pick!
The incredible followup to the special 2006 Summer Release is here. This true farm distillery—all the barley for distillation is produced onsite—is a labor of love by Ian and Francis Cuthbert. Located in the Howe of Fife, they’ve created a distillery that operates in complete harmony with the farm. Spent lees and pot ale go back onto the fields as fertilizer for the next season’s cereals. for instance. The distillery itself is operated on a seasonal basis and is dictated by the farming calendar. In the summer lull in June and July the stills are in opera...

91 points Robert Parker: "A strong effort in this vintage, the evolved, perfumed, purple-tinged 2007 Cheval Blanc offers complex aromas of menthol, cedarwood, mulberries, and black currants. Medium-bodied with beautiful fruit, sweet tannin, and a heady finish, this lovely wine should drink well for 10-15 years." (04/10) 89-92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good ruby-red. Pure nose offers blackberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Supple and sweet, with nicely integrated acidity that's in harmony with the wine's silky texture...

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Dense and concentrated, thick and silky with blueberries, boysenberries and sweet black fruit. It shows layers of earth, toast, coffee grounds, running into gently introduced barrel flavors of butterscotch and vanilla cream. (PG)" (08/2009) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The red wines begin with the deep crimson-colored 2007 Merlot (52%)-Cabernet Franc (48%). Super intense aromas of spice box (clove, cinnamon, sage, and rosemary), boysenberry, and wild blueberry lead to a medium to full-bodied, concentrated wine t...

2007 Buty "Beast - Phinny Hill Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $50+) (Previously $50+)
Top Pick!
Buty is a boutique winery in the Walla Walla Valley AV founded in 2000 by Nina Buty. They source from their grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the region including Connor Lee and Champoux. They also have their own estate vineyards in Walla Walla and the prized Phinny Hill Vineyard, a cobble-stoned site that overlooks Champoux Vineyard. The "Beast" from Buty is a range of wines that are one-offs made from exceptional lots that offered something distinctive and powerful enough to be singled out for thier own bottling.

Here is a fine find from the Right Bank. Founded in 1704, this 14-hectare estate run by the Bardet family is located on gravelly/clay soils that impart depth and complexity to the wine. 86% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. We just discovered this property in 2019, and we have already sold quite a bit of their 1995 and 1996. Super old-school label for an “old school” property. This wine has lots of red berry aromas and flavors. It really opens up with some decanting.

92 points James Suckling: "Some slight reduction here, this has a lemon biscuit edge and attractive toasty autolysis influence. The palate is more about stone fruits with some mellow spicy flavors building to citrus through the finish." (10/2017) 90 points Wine Spectator: "This creamy version offers a lively bead and flavors of baked currant, toast and candied lemon zest. Fresh and easy-drinking, with an open-knit finish. (AN)" (12/2017)

2007 Glenlivet 13 Year Old "Signatory - Unchillfiltered Collection" 1st Fill Single Sherry Butt Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)
Top Pick!
For those who've been paying attention for the last decade or so, you'll know that we've had some pretty incredible success with Signatory. Likely the most requested and reminisced about product from them was a series of heavily sherried Glenlivets we bottled nearly four years ago. Those stupendous casks from this blue chip distillery were really quite rare, and have become legends. But the quality of those incredible offerings and their scarcity resulted in an absolute explosion in their price. What we once stocked for under $100, now are pushing $300. ...

97 points James Suckling: "This is a laser-guided Champagne with fabulous energy and intensity with a tight palate, racy acidity and super fine phenolics. It goes on and on. Fine bubbles. Light pine and praline character. One for the cellar. " (12/2020)

2007 Labégorce-Zédé, Margaux (1.5L) (Previously $110) (Previously $110)
Back In Stock!
90 points Wine Enthusiast: "From 2009, Labégorce-Zédé will no longer exist, being amalgamated with Château Labégorce-Margaux. So this 2007 is one of the last vintages. The wine has solid but lively black fruits, the tannins dark, firm and full of blackberry juice flavors with a touch of cranberry dryness. It is definitely for aging. (RV)" (06/2010) Wine Spectator: "Delicate aromas of currant and flowers follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and an aftertaste of licorice and delicate berry. Fresh and elegant. (JS, Web-2010)" K&L Notes: Thi...
