2007 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Louis" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (Previously $170) (Previously $170)
Top Pick!
95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Disgorged in October 2018 with seven grams per liter dosage, the 2007 Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Louis Salmon derives from the villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Mesnil-sur-Oger, and half of the vins clairs that went into the blend were vinified in older barrels. It's still tightly wound, even after over a year on cork, unfurling in the glass with a delicate bouquet of crisp yellow apple, Meyer lemon, blanched almonds, elderflower and crushed chalk. Medium to full-bodied, deep and searingly intense, it's seamless ...

2007 Balcom Family "Mascaret" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (Previously $125) (Previously $125)
Top Pick!
We recently received a parcel of these beautifully mature wines from Balcom Family. The wines were made by renowned winemaker, Craig Becker, formerly of Robert Mondavi, Opus One, Spring Mountains Vineyard, and currently Director of Winemaking at Sommerston Estate. The fruit for these wines was sourced from Constant Vineyard high on Diamond Mountain, and Somerston Estate's hillside blocks in Napa's Vaca Mountains. The wine's name, "Mascaret," pays tribute to the Bordeaux region that inspired the wine. The Mascaret is a wave, or tidal bore, that runs up th...

2007 Glen Elgin 14 Year Old "Signatory K&L Exclusive" Hogshead Cask Strength Collection Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)
Top Pick!
While many distillery owners prefer shell-and-tube condensers because they are cheaper and easier to maintain, it is no secret that, for many great malts, a worm tub is critical to the final character. Glen Elgin is a classic worm tub distillery. Juicy fruit and palate weight are the major hallmarks of Glen Elgin, situated in Speyside's small hamlet of Fogwatt. The distillery has very long fermentation times (ranging from 80 to 120 hours) and an unusually clear wort. Combine that with very slow distillations and you have a vibrant fruity malt. Condense t...

We acquired a small parcel of this special selection via famed Italian Importer Ferdinando Fiori or Nadi. Signor Fiori became famous in whisky circles when he founded Intertrade Imports in the 1980s. High Spirits was established after the dissolution of that special label. Signor Fiori has established exceptional relationships with Scottish bottlers over the years and gets particularly good access. He's officially in retirement, but we're doing everything we can to convince him to select more casks for his special line. The wonderful line of rums bottled...

92 points Vinous: "Molettieri's 2007 Taurasi Vigna 5 Querce is a big, big wine. Mocha, espresso, game, tar, licorice and dark raspberries meld together in an unusually ripe, flashy Taurasi. The 2007 boasts tons of richness and sheer power, but it needs at least another year to settle down and incorporate its oak. (AG)" (02/2013) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Wild underbrush and exotic spice notes mark the racy black cherry puree and cassis fruit in this rich red, delivering full tannins and a long aftertaste of wild flowers, mineral and spice. (NM)" (06/2...

2007 Fonseca Vintage Port
Back In Stock!
94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Fonseca Vintage Port is opaque purple-colored with a high-class perfume of lavender, Asian spices, pencil lead, incense, and an amalgam of black fruits. On the palate it is voluminous with layered, succulent fruit, outstanding density, and excellent integration of tannin, acidity, and alcohol. The long finish and the wine’s impeccable balance suggest a lengthy evolution and a drinking window extending out to 2045." (02/2010) 94 points Wine & Spirits: "Fonseca's rich, Cima Corgo style creates a sleek an...

2007 Billecart-Salmon "Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart" Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
97 points James Suckling: "This is a laser-guided Champagne with fabulous energy and intensity with a tight palate, racy acidity and super fine phenolics. It goes on and on. Fine bubbles. Light pine and praline character. One for the cellar. " (12/2020) 97 points Vinous: "The 2007 Brut Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart is positively stellar. Elegant, polished and sophisticated, the 2007 dazzles with effusive aromatics and gorgeous balance. It's not an obvious wine, though, but rather a Champagne built for long, patient cellaring. The 2007 is 60% Pinot N...

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium gold colored, the 2007 d'Yquem delivers powerful scents of tropical fruits—dried mangoes and pineapple paste—accented by acacia honey, toasted almonds and woodsmoke with hints of chalk dust, kettle corn and lime blossom. The palate reveals one of those vintages that shape-shifts into an apparently drier style than it is, largely thanks to its uber-racy backbone of freshness and layered mineral-inspired flavors, finishing with a regal, satin-textured savoriness. Difficult to resist now, this will be...

2007 Buty "Beast - Phinny Hill Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $50+) (Previously $50+)
Top Pick!
Buty is a boutique winery in the Walla Walla Valley AV founded in 2000 by Nina Buty. They source from their grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the region including Connor Lee and Champoux. They also have their own estate vineyards in Walla Walla and the prized Phinny Hill Vineyard, a cobble-stoned site that overlooks Champoux Vineyard. The "Beast" from Buty is a range of wines that are one-offs made from exceptional lots that offered something distinctive and powerful enough to be singled out for thier own bottling.

This is one of those wines that people will be buying by the case all summer long. Why? Well, with its new-world ripeness of red plum, black raspberry and licorice ropes this is totally crowd pleasing.
Price: $39.99

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate displays a very slowly evolving nose of crème de cassis, chocolate-covered cherries, vanilla pod and smoked meats with touches of dried Provence herbs, cedar chest and cloves. Medium-bodied, plush, rich and generously fruited in the mouth, it has a wonderfully spicy character and long baking spice and black fruit-laced finish. (LPB)" (02/2018) 95 points Vinous: "Bright ruby-red. Slightly jammy aromas of blackberry, cassis and cherry complemented by spice a...

96 points Wine & Spirits: "Stergios and Perikles Tatsis have created a small Eden in Goumenissa, a region northeast of Naoussa. Their vineyards, which have never seen a chemical, are hidden among forests teeming with wildlife; when it’s too wet to work the vines, the brothers collect porcini mushrooms, which make for incredible matches with their wines. This 2007 is classic Goumenissa, a blend of Xinomavro with a bit of Negoska (as per the appellation’s regulations), fermented with ambient yeasts in old oak casks. Its scents might bring to mind Barolo, i...

2007 George Dickel 13 Year Old "2021 Release" Bottled In Bond Tennessee Whiskey (750ml)
Top Pick!
92 points Whisky Advocate: "Dickel’s now-annual return to bottled in bond, this one following the release of an 11 year old last year and a 13 year old in 2019, which became our Whisky of the Year. Roasted peanuts, marzipan, sweet corn, and bakery shop, with water unlocking cherries, jelly donut, raspberry jam, blueberry pie, fresh grains, and melted caramel. Mouth-coating overall, with a delicate finish that ends with a savory back note of wild herbs. (DF, Fall 2021)" K&L Notes: The famous Dickel 13 Year Old Bottled in Bond is back! 93 points Wine & Spirits: "2007 Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir Savory woodland mushroom scents lend a sense of mystery to this wine, its flavors ranging from meat to minerals. There's nothing directly fruity about it. Dark in tone but not dense, the aroma has the exoticism of Chinese medicinal herbs. An old-school California Pinot with an Old World sensibility, this should age in fascinating directions." (04/2011) 91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Shows the dry tannins and astringency of youthful Hanzell, but these Pinot Noirs are famously capable of extended agin...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also 100% barrel-fermented, the 2007 Chardonnay Grangerville Vineyard reveals a light medium gold color along with aromas of nectarines, white peaches, crushed rocks, creme brulee, and honeyed lemon. Fresh, full-bodied, rich, and structured, with little oak in evidence, I would not be surprised to see this Chardonnay age for a decade or more. " (08/2010)

95 points Robert Parker: "The powerful, full-throttle 2007 Chardonnay Untitled #3 exhibits a light gold color as well as a big, sweet kiss of baked apples, honeyed pears, nectarines, and orange marmalade. Displaying fabulous fruit on the attack, mid-palate, and finish, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a subtle hint of toasty oak, it should be consumed over the next 3-4 years." 94 points Wine Spectator: "The powerful, full-throttle 2007 Chardonnay Untitled #3 exhibits a light gold color as well as a big, sweet kiss of baked apples, honeyed pears, nectarines,...

From the winemaker: "2007 gave us a beautifully concentrated wine with soft velvety tannins. Bright purple black color. The nose shows off layered complexity, loaded with aromas of sweet blueberries, currants and black cherries with a hint of caramel and vanilla. In the mouth, the wine reveals flavors layered with sweet blueberries, cassis, plums and black cherries. The wine is chewy and has great balance with a long luscious finish. The wine can be approached early with decanting, yet will age effortlessly for 15+ years. This is undoubtedly the most pro...

93 points Wine Spectator: "Spicy, with a dusty berry and fresh earth edge to the dried cherry and wild berry fruit. Full-bodied, complex, tight and young, but aimed in the right direction. " (08/2009) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from Dijon clones, the deeper, more saturated ruby-colored 2007 Pinot Noir Goodin Vineyard exhibits tighter, more intense aromatics of red and black fruits, particularly cherries, raspberries, and currants. Youthful and pure with plenty of stuffing, it will benefit from another year of bottle age, and is far ...

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale red. Intensely floral aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, rose and magnolia. Fresh, sharply focused red fruit flavors are impressively pure and nicely framed by silky tannins. The mineral note gains power with air and carries through a long, seductively pure finish. I really like this wine's impression of weightlessness. (ST)" (05/2009) 90 points Wine & Spirits: "From a vineyard in Sebastopol, at the edge of the Petaluma Gap, this Pinot Noir has a cool, coastal influence in its long, transpa...

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid red. Captivating aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and blood orange are deepened by smoky herbs and dried flowers. Spicy and incisive on the palate, displaying fresh red berry and candied rose flavors, with gentle tannic grip on the back. The blood orange note echoes through the long, seductively spicy finish. (ST)" (05/2009) 91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe but restrained, cool and elegant nose of ripe cherry and red Pinot fruit trimmed in delicate spice notes is followed by rich, ...

Wine Enthusiast: "Grown in the Sebastopol Hills area, this Pinot tastes very young and jammy and immature. Released at less than a year of age, it’s thick and a little heavy, with cherry, currant and mocha flavors not yet meshed with oak." (02/2009) Wine Spectator: "Loamy earth, a touch of leather and dried berry and currant fruit form the core flavors in this full-bodied Pinot, which some will find too earthy. 294 cases made. (JL)" (01/2009)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97JS, 97WE, 95VN, 94DC, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep purple-black colored, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select exudes beautiful notions of violets, dark chocolate, black olives, spice cake and cedar chest with a core of crème de cassis, blackberry pie, plum preserves and fragrant earth plus a waft of unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, super concentrated and jam-packed with multilayered black and blue fruits, it has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing long with tons of exotic spice and savory sparks. (LPB)" (08/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP) and 1-bottle of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Of the 2007 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Petit Verdot. It offers up a splendid bouquet of toasty new oak, earth notes, espresso, incense, blackberry, and plum. A bit more structured than the Palengat cuvee, it is slightly denser, layered, and intense. (JM)" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Tua Rita "Perlato Del Bosco" Toscana (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Perlato del Bosco offers up mineral-infused blueberries, violets, tar and licorice. At first rather tense, the wine opens up nicely, with a gorgeous, muscular expression of fruit that is married with superb clarity and freshness throughout. Impeccably polished tannins inform the beautiful, long finish. Sweet scents of pipe tobacco add a sense of lift on the close. This is a marvelous effort from Tua Rita and a hugely over-achieving wine relative to the estate’s top bottlings. Needless to say, the 2007 Perlato del Bosco is highly recommended. (AG)" (10/2010)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2007 Domaine de Saint Siffrein Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (94JD, 94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The finest effort I have yet tasted from this estate, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is composed of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault. Its traditional upbringing included 100% aging in old foudres. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by a big, sweet, juicy kiss of kirsch liqueur intermixed with blacker fruits, raspberries, licorice, camphor, and hints of lavender and incense. The wine exhibits terrific concentration, full-bodied intensity, and a 45-50-second finish. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape will benefit from another 2-3 years of bottle age, and should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP) (10/2009)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Dönnhoff "Felsentürmchen" Riesling Spätlese Nahe (93RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Donnhoff's 2007 Riesling Spatlese Felsenturmchen once again reflects a particular (cooler, stonier) portion of the Schlossbockelheimer Felsenberg high up and well back from the Nahe. Gentian, red currant, citrus oils, and a whiff of smoke in the nose usher in a rich, sappy, subtly creamy yet tremendously refreshing palate in which tropical mango and citrus meet Northern European red currant. A lick of salt adds invigoration to the long finish. This misses the dazzling complexity and subtlety of the Krotenpfuhl or the ethereal florality of the Kirschheck, but it is built to last, and over the next two decades I am sure there will be times when it overtakes them not to mention overwhelms those lucky enough to have cellared some with its beauty. (DS)" (10/2009)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Mordorée "Cuvée de la Reine des Bois" Lirac (94RP, 93JD, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The outrageously superb 2007 Lirac La Reine des Bois (equal parts Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah) may be the finest wine Delorme has yet made. Its dense purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous perfume of black fruits, licorice, earth, and pepper. The fruit quality is deep, textured, and pure, and the 35-second finish is superb. This knock-out wine should drink well for 7-8 years. (RP)" (10/2009)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Williams Selyem "Bucher Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 93ST, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Forward and delicious, a vibrant wine that’s fully drinkable now for the richness of fruit. Shows ripe waves of black and red cherries, raspberries, cola, chocolate and crème brûlée, leading to a long, sweetly spicy finish." (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Paul Autard "Cuvée Juline" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95WS, 94RP). Wine Spectator: "Shows lots of exotic braised fig, black tea, roasted mesquite, incense and bittersweet cocoa notes, with a core of black cherry and raspberry fruit in reserve. The long, flashy finish lets pastis and Black Forest cake notes emerge. This has some toast to absorb, but it's all there. (JM)" (08/2009)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Solitude "Cuvée Barberini" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another rich, sexy red from this estate is the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Barberini, which checks in as 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre brought up in a mix of new barrels and stainless steel. It possesses overflowing notes of blackberries, black currants, sweet oak, licorice and roasted Provencal garrigue. Full-bodied, ripe and incredibly textured and seamless, this is a big blockbuster beauty that dishes out tons of pleasure today and will keep for another decade. (JD)" (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Parallel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94WE, 92W&S, 91RP, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Delicious and compelling 100% Cabernet from this great vintage. Shows classically developed, sweet Napa tannins and wonderfully ripe fruit. As expressive as the blackberries and currants are, they're reined in with minerals and herbs to produce exquisite tension. *Editors' Choice*" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de Saint Préfert "Réserve Auguste Favier" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also rock-star stuff, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve Auguste Favier gives up plenty of sweet blackberry, sugar cured meats, licorice, toasted spice and butcher shop-like aromas and flavors to go with a full-bodied, sweetly-fruited, fabulously dense and layered palate. As with the Colombis, it’s a big, rich wine that stays fresh and pure. (JD)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (96BH, 96RP, 95VN, 95WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bouchard's 2007 Corton-Charlemagne - the last wine they picked - offers another of those occasions for reflecting on a bit of Burgundian craziness: a grand cru wine presented last in a stellar line-up, yet that costs on-half to one-third that of the other grand cru bottlings that preceded it. A striking and intensely pungent aroma of holly berry, fresh ginger, and lime zest leads to a vivacious, silken-textured, chalky, saline, crustacean palate. For all of this wine's sheer intensity and palpable sense of underlying extract, it shares lift, buoyancy, and overall elegance with its Chevalier-Montrachet counterparts and preserves the energy and primary, juicy refreshment that goes with its vintage. The diversity and persistence of mineral elements here are memorable. (DS)" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2007 Domaine de Villeneuve "Les Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 92WS) and 1-bottle of 2007 Domaine Grand Veneur "Clos de Sixte" Lirac (93RP, 91JD, 91JS, 90WE, 90WS). Of the 2007 Domaine de Villeneuve "Les Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "This estate did not offer their 2008 for tasting, but they have hit the bull’s eye with their brilliant 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape. Aged 80% in tank and 20% in old barrels, this blend of 70% Grenache, 16% Mourvedre, and the rest Syrah, Cinsault, and the white grape Clairette is made from vines that average 65 years of age (some are over 100 years). (RP)" (10/2009)
