Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Shirvington Cabernet Sauvignon McLaren Vale South Australia (92RP, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was 100% barrel-fermented and aged for 12 months in 75% new oak, 80% American, 20% French. Opaque purple-colored, it exhibits a fragrant, expressive perfume of toasty oak, vanilla, spice box, black currant, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a racy Cabernet, slightly lean, with intense black fruit flavors, good depth and concentration, and enough structure to support 8-10 years of development in the cellar. (JM)" (10/2007)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Brosseau Vineyard" Chalone Pinot Noir (93WE), 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir, 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Keefer Ranch" Green Valley Pinot Noir, 2-bottles of 2006 Loring "Russell Family" Paso Robles Pinot Noir, and 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Shea Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (90BH). Of the 2006 Loring "Brosseau Vineyard" Chalone Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This is a very dry, elegant Pinot Noir that's sleeker and earthier than many other comparably priced Pinots out there. It has what you might call a Burgundian profile, with the cherry, raspberry, cola and spice fruit balanced by truffles, leather and a suggestion of dried pine needles." (06/2008)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Hall may share a large expanse of the Napa Valley terroir, but you wouldn't know it from the attention to detail dedicated to every label from this organic estate. From the single vineyard wines to the regional blends, only the best fruit is selected and no expense is spared on quality. Winemaker notes for the 2006 Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: "Our 2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an orchestral melange of hand-selected fruit from our Hardester, Napa River Ranch, Bergfeld and Sacrashe vineyards. Each distinctive terroir interweaves complementary components which culminate in a preeminent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, a gestalt of balanced, rich, concentrated character." Ranked #18 in Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2010.
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Dry Stack "Marie's Block" Bennett Valley Syrah (92JD, 92WS, 90CG, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Shows wonderful complexity, richness and depth, with deep, perfumed floral, lavender, wild berry, blackberry and spicy, leathery scents that provide a great range of flavor. Ends with a long, persistent finish. (JL)" (07/2008)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2006 Loring "Cargasacchi Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94WE), 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Clos Pepe Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94WE), and 1-bottle of 2006 Loring "Rancho Ontiveros" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir (92WE, 90BH). Of the 2006 Loring "Cargasacchi Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This is a fabulous vineyard. The growers go to endless pains, and the talented winemakers at Loring rose to the occasion and have produced a compelling Pinot Noir. Dry and crisp in acids, it's enormously complex, with the cherry, pomegranate and cola fruit flavors made more interesting with the tastes of earth, mushrooms, balsamic and espresso." (06/2008)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend Winery-Direct Release (96JS, 96RP, 94ST, 93W&S, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Its dark plum/purple color is accompanied by aromas and flavors of truffles, forest floor, black cherries, black currants, and Asian spices. One of the finest wines of the vintage, it is complete, full-bodied, and seamlessly built with beautiful ripe tannins, low acidity, and a luscious, layered mouthfeel. The aromatics are even more evolved and complex than the 2005's. (RP)" (12/2008)
