94 points Wine Enthusiast: "In comparison to some of the brand’s other offerings, this is an affordable way to check in on the Daou experience. Savory aromas of coffee bean meet with lush purple fruits on the nose. The palate is rounded in texture, with rich flavors of dark berry, cappuccino, milk chocolate and caramel. *Editors’ Choice* (MK) " (03/2021) 93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Based on 59% Petit Verdot and 41% Petit Sirah, the 2018 Proprietary Red is a ripe, sexy wine with loads of black fruits, espresso roast, chocolate, and a kiss of violets that gi...

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of 74% Petite Sirah, 13% Syrah, and 13% Zinfandel, brought up in 60% new French oak, the 2019 The Pessimist gives up loads of sweet blueberries and barbecue notes as well as more violets, spice, vanilla, and candied flower nuances with time in the glass. Beautifully textured and full-bodied, it has a rounded, opulent texture and a great finish. It's a sexy fruit bomb to enjoy over the coming 3-5 years." 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine kicks off with aromas of baked blackberry, cracked pepper, graphite and dried meat...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (94RP, 92VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Problem Child shows off gorgeous inner perfume, juicy red cherries, menthol and licorice, all of which come together beautifully in this gorgeous wine. The intensity of the fruit flows gracefully to the striking, inviting finish. There is weightless, transparent quality along with expressive aromatics that makes this a totally beguiling wine. The blend is 76% Zinfandel, 15% Syrah and 9% Mourvedre. The unique qualities of Zinfandel add considerable character to this unique, gorgeous red. (AG)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (95RP, 93ST, 92WS) and 2-bottles of 2014 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (95VN, 93RP). Of the 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I very much like the way the 2010 Problem Child achieves tons of richness, but no sense of heaviness at all. Juicy dark cherries, hard candy, flowers, mint and sweet spices are all woven together in a fabric of notable class. Floral notes reappear on a sweet, perfumed finish buffered by lively acidity. Once again, there is plenty of depth, but little in the way of excess weight. This is a striking effort from Matt Trevisan. Problem Child is 77% Zinfandel (from Heaton and Cushman), 16% Syrah (from Caliza and Denner) and 7% Mourvedre (estate). This set of wines from proprietor Matt Trevisan was among the most impressive I tasted in Paso Robles. (AG)" (08/2012)
