90 points James Suckling: "This generous, quite traditional style Valreas marries a self-confidently dry and dusty personality to red fruits and just a hint of leather. Good structure at the long, warm finish. A cuvee of grenache and syrah from vineyards at 400 meters above sea level. (SP)" (05/2023) Jeb Dunnuck: "A pretty, perfumed, elegant, and medium-bodied red, the 2020 Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas Tendresse D'Un Climat has lots of red fruits, dried Provençal herbs, and peppery notes, supple tannins, and a good finish. It's already drinking nic...

This wine, a blend of Bordeaux-style and Rhone-style varietals, is produced in only a small amount from artisan farmed hillside vineyards in the Sonoma Valley, and is the expression of Richard's mastery of the art and science of winemaking, and ode to his love for this place and the wine it produces.

Caroline originally hails from Bordeaux where much of her family still resides. Looking for her own property, she settled in the village of Maury located in the Roussillon. There, her restrained sensibilities are making some of the most pristine, clean and balanced wines in the region. (Keith Mabry, K&L Rhône buyer)

92 points Decanter: "A bright and light iteration of Corbières that's light on its feet, full of cherry stone, strawberries and juicy acidity. A new window onto this area's wines, with great promise. (NE)" (10/2023) K&L Notes: "My name is Sophie Guiraudon and I am a winemaker since ZERO generation!" And they show, as a ferrous ingress of iodine and sweet earth, mingling with blue and darker fruit aspersions and the smoked meatiness of reductive handling and its floral lift. Directly next-door to the famed Château Rayas, the wines of Font de Courtedune are hidden gems. Vigneron Caroline Charrier sees herself as a steward of the land, eschewing harsh farming practices in the vineyard and crafting her wines exclusively with whole-cluster fermentation and native yeasts. In the same vein, she relies primarily on neutral oak, crafting wines that are defined by vibrancy and purity - rather than the bold notes of new oak barrels.

91 points Vinous: "The 2021 The Dancing Fig (an unusual blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Shiraz) displays excellent value. It delivers a good volume of fruit with focused blackberry, leather and fruit pastille aromas. Mourvèdre adds hearty tannins to the package, which underpin a meaty, well-formed and compact palate. A savory ironstone edge adds delicious detail over a lengthy finish. While delicious now, it also feels like a sleeper that will surprise over the next decade." "The Gueuze Tilquin à l’ancienne (6.4% alc / vol) is a spontaneous fermentation beer obtained from the blending of 1, 2 and 3 years old lambics. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, it is re-fermented in the bottle for a minimum period of 6 months. The lambics used were fermented and matured in our own oak barrels at the blendery. They are made from worts brewed by Boon, Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon. The taste is tart and dry but has a certain roundness that makes this Gueuze à l’ancienne particularly accessible for non-experts. It will also delight fans o...
