93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of candied ginger, baked pear and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with a lovely, oily texture. Layered flavors of chamomile and lavender at the beginning, but turns toward fresh cream and then the note of candied ginger on the nose returns. Linear and balanced. Drink now." (02/2022)

90 points James Suckling: "This generous, quite traditional style Valreas marries a self-confidently dry and dusty personality to red fruits and just a hint of leather. Good structure at the long, warm finish. A cuvee of grenache and syrah from vineyards at 400 meters above sea level. (SP)" (05/2023) Jeb Dunnuck: "A pretty, perfumed, elegant, and medium-bodied red, the 2020 Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas Tendresse D'Un Climat has lots of red fruits, dried Provençal herbs, and peppery notes, supple tannins, and a good finish. It's already drinking nic...

2022 Mas Karolina Côtes Catalanes Rouge (Previously $15) (Previously $15)
Top Pick!
Mas Karolina is the project of Caroline Bonville, cousin of Olivier Bonville proprietor of one of our favorite Champagne houses Franck Bonville. Caroline originally hails from Bordeaux where much of her family still resides. Looking for her own property, she settled in the village of Maury located in the Roussillon. There, her restrained sensibilities are making some of the most pristine, clean and balanced wines in the region. (Keith Mabry, K&L Rhône buyer)

92 points James Suckling: "Stacks of spice, dried Mediterranean herbs and a touch of leather on the nose. Bold, structured and lively, this is an impressive wine for the humble appellation. Long harmonious finish with good complexity. A cuvee of grenache, syrah and carignan from vines that are over 50-years-old. Drink or hold." (05/2023) Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2021 Côtes Du Rhône looks to be well worth your time. Based on 50% Grenache and 25% each Syrah and Carignan, it has a darker, black, almost blue-fruited profile as well as pretty notes of violets and ...

The "Duchesse" is one of the must-try Belgians, an oak cask matured red ale that's wildly aromatic, reminiscent of cognac, balsamic vinegar, and fermented plum and other fruits all at once.

The Verquière estate has been passed down from father to son for many generations and is now managed by Thibaut Chamfort. Following age-old traditions and sustainable practices, the estate was recently certified organic. The Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Sablet is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault grown on three different terroirs. The first being the chalky clay soils with loads of large pebbles from the lower part of the appellation, limestone and marl from the highest part, and classic sandy soils of Sablet right around the...

Fever Tree makes all-natural, premium mixers--most famously tonic waters and this ginger ale--that have taken the cocktail world by storm. The New York Times called them, "A mixer to take seriously," and their products definitely enhance the drinks they go into. The ginger ale is my personal favorite, brimming with the spicy quality of the famous root. Mix with gin and a squeeze of lime for a "Mother's Little Helper," my cocktail of choice these days. 91 points James Halliday: "Terra rossa soils the source. And they show, as a ferrous ingress of iodine and sweet earth, mingling with blue and darker fruit aspersions and the smoked meatiness of reductive handling and its floral lift. A rich wine with a modicum of restraint, tension and solid drinkability. (NG)" (01/2023) 91 points James Suckling: "Sourced from terra rossa soils. And it shows, with a ferrous ingress of iodine and sweet earth, mingling with blue and darker fruit aspersions and the smoked meatiness of reductive handling and its floral li...

Coralie Onde is from the winemaking family behind Domaine les Ondines, but opted to start her own project independent of her family estate in 2008. She formed Domaine de la Ganse in Vacqueyras when she purchased some terrific old vine fruit, also taking a small holding when the family estate was split. With close to nine hectares now, Coralie began the organic certification process and was officially certified in 2014. Her vines are aged from fifteen to fifty-five years and the soils are primarily chalky-clay with some galet (river stones).

92 points Decanter: "A bright and light iteration of Corbières that's light on its feet, full of cherry stone, strawberries and juicy acidity. A new window onto this area's wines, with great promise. (NE)" (10/2023) K&L Notes: "My name is Sophie Guiraudon and I am a winemaker since ZERO generation!" Sophie Guiraudon worked in other people's wineries in southern France for years, and in 2000, she started her own biodynamic, organic winery. She wanted to grow grapes that her son could eat right off of the vines. The "Lolo de l'Anhel" is a blend of 81% Ca...

91 points Vinous: "The 2021 The Dancing Fig (an unusual blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Shiraz) displays excellent value. It delivers a good volume of fruit with focused blackberry, leather and fruit pastille aromas. Mourvèdre adds hearty tannins to the package, which underpin a meaty, well-formed and compact palate. A savory ironstone edge adds delicious detail over a lengthy finish. While delicious now, it also feels like a sleeper that will surprise over the next decade." (02/2023) 90 points Bob Campbell: "Deep ruby red hue. Mulberry, beef stock an...

Brewer's Notes: Belgian Style Sour Ale. aged 8 to 15 months in Merlot barrels with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Pediococcus, along with fresh Merlot grapes. The terrific canned cocktails from Red Saint use original blends of teas from around the world and their own unique recipes. This isn't someone just trying to make a canned margarita or G&T. This is what the RTD revolution should be about - interesting drinks that just work from a can. Only 5% ABV and 110 calories but a hell of a lot better and more interesting than a Whiteclaw.

From the brewery: "This beer's journey began six years ago when we developed a blending of our favorite wild yeast and bacteria strains. Wort was fermented with these strains, and many beer releases followed. Each time we have always kept a portion of the batch, almost as you would a sourdough starter or vinegar mother. As the years have gone by, new batches of the beer have become more complex and new flavors emerge. For this release, our intention was to complement the existing flavors in the beer with tart cherry. Sweet, sour, and with a hint of almon...

One of the smoothest and best balanced Coffee Stouts I've had - Neal F.

"Double Negative pours jet black with burnt orange highlights. A long lasting tan head leaves abundant lacing. Aromas bursting from the glass include coffee, bitter chocolate, caramel, black currant and blueberry. Creamy and viscous on the palate, the flavor initially follows the nose. A pop of smooth bitterness comes after, and then a lingering, roasty finish." (Producer notes)

From the brewery: "Brewed in collaboration with the owner and head chef of 25 Lusk, Matt Dolan, this magnificent stout was brewed with ginger, coriander, and pepper spice accented by a slowly crafted dulce de leche, revealing a thick ale kissed with spice in a winning relationship with that beautiful lightly salted caramel."
