94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep ruby-purple and youthfully shy on the nose, the 2016 Syrah Hawks Butte opens slowly to cassis, bay leaves, damp earth, baked blueberries and boysenberry with hints of mint chocolate, olive and beef drippings. Medium to full-bodied, it offers deep, intense flavor layers with a pleasantly chewy frame, seamless freshness and a long, very flavorful finish. This is gorgeous now but will reward a few more years of bottle age. (EB)" (12/2019) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "An enticing aroma of violets and dark choco...

Phil Baxter is one of the most talented winemakers in Anderson Valley. He also works with some of the finest vineyards of the region including Valenti, Oppenlander, Ferrington, and Langley. It should come as no surprise then that this appellation level Pinot Noir is one of the best you'll find at this price point. A rich, dark fruited style, but with plenty of savory intrigue and forest floor qualities adding complexity and depth. If you don't know the Baxter wines, this is the perfect place to get on board. Goldeneye in Anderson Valley has long been considered one of the benchmark producers of the region. Their Pinot Noirs have been consistent best sellers here at K&L for at least a decade. When we were offered some of their vintage Brut Rosé, a wine typically reserved for winery direct purchase, we jumped at the chance and weren't disappointed! Winemaker's Notes: "Anderson Valley has earned acclaim for the complexity and distinctiveness of its sparkling wines. Made from our very best blocks of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, our vibrant and alluring Goldeneye B...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Vivid oaky, earthy aromas lead to ripe firm flavors of apple and citrus in this assertive and well-structured wine. The char and wood-smoke nuances carry over to the palate, along with a nice nip of tannin and firm acidity that help to offset the richness. (JG)" (05/2019) K&L Notes: All from Roederer Estate's Organic / Biodynamic vineyards in Anderson Valley. A phenomenal deal in everyday Chardonnay.

96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir reminds be a Grand Cru Burgundy with its ethereal, complex perfume of bright cherry and black berry fruits, rose petals, forest floor, and spice-laced aromas and flavors. It’s medium to full-bodied, has moderate tannins and impeccable balance, and is a beautiful, savory, classic Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. This wine was completely destemmed and spent 16 months in 50% new French oak." (01/2019) 94 points James Suckling: "Fresh raspberries, boysenberries, cranberries, orange peel and lemons. Med...

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Alesia Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is unabashedly delicious, bursting with fragrant aromas of dried flowers, raspberries, wild plums and sweet forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, supple and satiny, with a juicy core of succulent, mouthwatering fruit that's framed by melting tannins. This bottling is already expressive, and I'd expect it to drink well for a decade, perhaps more. Note that this vintage hails entirely from Kevin Harvey's Bearwallow Vineyard...beginning with the 2016 vinta...
