92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Intense aromas of kerosene, flint, beeswax and citrus open, followed by a palate that shows a little sweetness, tempering the tingly, racy acidity and bright lemony fruit. The finish is long and mouthwatering. (CP)" (10/2024) 91 points James Suckling: "Aromas of pears, green apples, peaches, grapefruit and lemon rind. Medium-bodied with a slight off-dry feel on the palate. Crystal clear acidity with a lime tang, creating a succulent dynamic with the sweet fruit. From organically grown grapes. Drink now. Screw cap. 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A strong vintage for Te Mata and the Hawke's Bay region in general, this release of Elston strikes a fine balance between fruit ripeness, freshness and oak. Lemon and pineapple aromas are vibrant above seashell and creamy oak nuances. The palate shows lovely slippery texture, crystalline acidity and concentrated fruit. It's supported, not dominated, by the wood. A persistent citrus finish makes it easy to take another sip. A classy wine that's drinking gracefully now but should gain complexity until around 2028. 95 points The Wine Independent: "The 2020 Chardonnay is bursting with notes of ripe grapefruit, white peaches, lime cordial, and struck flint with hints of toasted almonds and wet slate. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of racy acidity supporting the generous stone fruit and citrus flavors, finishing very long and minerally. This was aged in used oak barrels with no new oak and finished in stainless steel on lees. (LPB)" (07/2023) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Rich and fragrant, with notes of honeysuckle and lemon blossoms that lead t...

In 1973, Daniel Dugois bought 2 hectares of vineyard and a house equipped with wine cellars in a village called Les Arsures, where he was born. He cultivated the vineyard and sold his production primarily to Henri Maire, one of the most prominent producers in Jura at that time. In 1982, Daniel made his first harvest in his own cellars and began to sell his wines to consumers. His first ever harvest earned him his first Gold Medal for his Chardonnay at the Jura Wine Contest. Daniel and his wife Monique have continued to work on the quality of their wines...

Alea is Cascina Ebreo’s enchanting expression of 100% Malvasia Moscata from a tiny 0.5-hectare vineyard in Novello. Organically farmed and fermented with native yeasts, the wine undergoes three months of maceration and 12 months of aging in clay amphorae, preserving its aromatic purity and depth.
This golden-hued wine reveals floral and stone fruit aromas, complemented by herbal and spicy nuances. On the palate, vibrant acidity balances a textured, complex finish. With a limited production of just 2,000 bottles, Alea is an elegant pairing for rich dishe...

92 points James Suckling: "Such a fragrant and delicately aromatic pinot gris. Super-ripe pear character plus a hint of floral honey, this has a lovely creamy texture. Remarkably long, silky finish for an entry-level wine! So delightful already, and it will give so much pleasure during the coming years. Drink or hold." (06/2022) 90 points Wine Spectator: "A perfumed white, this entices with sweet blossoms and candied citrus underscored by savory wet flint and smoked thyme. Though veering into off-dry territory, this is balanced and fresh, with pronounc...

A totally unique wine. Made entirely from one row of vines planted by Charles Coury in 1966. The row was an experimental planting of many varietals including cuttings from Domaine Henri Gouges in Nuits-St-Georges. All vines are planted on their own roots and dry-farmed. Varietals in the blend are: Chardonnay (multiple clones) Flora, Pinot Noir, Melon de Bourgogne, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Sylvaner. The grapes are harvested on the same day, whole cluster pressed and co-fermented in neutral French oak with entirely native yeast.
