96 points James Suckling: "Theoretically, the Spatlese category is no longer cool, because these wines are medium-sweet and therefore not food-friendly (try tempura, Vienna Schnitzel or Thai red curry). But this is a masterpiece of floral finesse! Lovely, mandarin note at the long, delicate and just off-dry finish. Drink or hold." (09/2020) 95-96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese opens with a bright and coolish, very delicate and filigreed bouquet of herbal/floral aromas intertwined with bri...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Marienburg Spätlese is coolish, clear and flinty on the precise, deep, very elegant and well-articulated nose. Round and lush on the palate, this is a charmingly round, piquant, elegant and stimulatingly salty Spätlese with great precision, finesse and grip. Gorgeous and made to age for decades. Moderately sweet, enormously piquant. (SR)" (08/2020)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Dhroner Hofberg Riesling Kabinett is very fine and elegant on the bright but intense and crispy fruit bouquet that indicates good concentration and interesting terroir. Pretty complex for such a refreshing Kabinett. Round and piquant on the palate, this is a finessed, remarkably fine and stimulating Kabinett with crystalline acidity and moderate sweetness in the finish. I'd keep this Kabinett for at least another 2 or 3 years. Tasted at the domain in September 2020. (SR)" (10/2020) 90 points Wine & Spi...

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Seductive notes of petrichor and struck slate introduce this svelte, green-fruited sip. There's just a whisper of sweetness here rounding out electric shocks of lime acidity and a lean, steely finish. (AI)" (07/2020) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Fragrant with lilac and freesia, this Riesling boasts flavors of peach and star fruit backed by bass notes of brown spice and slate. Complex and detailed, this ends with an aftertaste of fruit, mineral and spice. Drink now through 2033." (10/2021) 89-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Ad...

2020 Willi Schaefer Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett Mosel
94 points James Suckling: "So many fresh floral notes, plenty of orange zest, sage and a whiff of smoke. Juicy stone fruit and lively acidity, with very well integrated natural grape sweetness that you feel less and less as the wine flows over your palate into the delicate, wet-stone and rock-salt finish. Drink or hold." (09/2021) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett is a Schaefer classic that opens with a brilliantly clear and still reductive bouquet of crushed slate and perfectly ripe Riesling frui...

John Gilman: "The 2019 Richter Estate Riesling is again made from younger vines, like the Dry Riesling bottling (with a bit of Graacher Himmelreich included this year) and is fermented and aged similarly to that bottling. The 2019 Estate Riesling comes in at ten percent octane, carries twenty-five grams per liter of residual sugar and has eight grams per liter of acidity, so this is like a Kabinett in sweetness level this year. The wine delivers a very expressive bouquet of lime peel, pear, a nice touch of Brauneberg-like botanicals, a good base of slate...

95 points James Suckling: "What a stunning, exotic-fruit and floral nose, but it remains delicate. The palate is almost weightless, and the finish is very long, filigree and silky. The attractive spritz helps make it even more mouthwatering." (05/2020) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Rausch Riesling Kabinett is intense yet refined and lofty on the nose. Round and sweet on the palate, with a touch of oak, this is a textured and mouth-filling Kabinett with good concentration and nice salinity. This is more lush and concentrated than th...

2020 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett Mosel
95 points James Suckling: "Feel the dark side of the Kabinett force! Plenty of cassis and grapefruit aromas, but also ripe stone fruit, darker wild berries, wet earth and rocks. And the interplay of these is what makes this wine so exciting. Extremely long and graceful finish that makes it almost impossible not to reach for the glass again. Drink or hold." (09/2021) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep, cool, fresh and spicy on the fine and elegant if not aristocratic nose, the 2020 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett #3 indicates fine and w...

94 points Vinous: "Linden, heliotrope, quince and apple in jellied as well as fresh form are effusively evoked on the nose, and the creamy palate offers corresponding billowing inner-mouth perfume, confitured richness but also freshness of fruit, reflecting the healthy and marginally less ripe (i.e., not overripe!) bunches that were included in this en bloc harvest. The lusciously and seductively lingering finish preserves creaminess, refreshing juiciness and floral perfume while introducing an invigorating lick of cinnamon and a nibble of fresh ginger. ...

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Mosel (94JG). John Gilman: "The 2001 Spätlese AP #25 from the Wehlener Sonnenuhr is a bit young by my rule of thumb of twenty years for this vineyard site, but the wine is starting to drink awfully well at age fourteen. The beautiful and vibrant nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of pear, vanilla bean, bee pollen, a lovely base of slate, blossoming notes of tangerine, fresh almond, white lilies and a nice touch of currant leaf in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, pure and intensely flavored, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent acidity, superb filigree and a very long, complex and dancing finish. This wine is just on the cusp of its plateau of peak maturity, but will be here for another quarter of a century, so there is no reason to hurry to drink this wine any time soon!" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $73.05

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #3 Mosel (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The floral aromas of the 2001 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Domprobst A.P. #0302 lead to a satin-textured, light to medium-bodied personality that magnificently juxtaposes gripping acidity with massive richness. Packed with red currants, cherries, candied limes, juicy green grapes, honeyed minerals, and quartz-like flavors, this wine has superb concentration, wonderful mouth-feel, and exceptional length. After tasting these resplendent vinous treasures all I could do was shake my head in bewilderment. Bravo! (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Rotlay Riesling Auslese Mosel (96JS, 96RP, 96VN, 95WS). Vinous: "On the nose are signaled the layers reflecting different conditions of fruit in a parcel picked en bloc, albeit at 116 Oechsle and with a lot of botrytis. Apple is represented in jellied, caramelized but also fresh form. Quince preserves and marzipan are balanced by bittersweetness of candied grapefruit peel, while honeysuckle and heliotrope perfume liquefies under the pressure of noble rot. A hint of smokiness puts me faintly in mind of Tokaji. And for all of its creamy, glossy texture, this wine seems to quiver with pent-up energy that breaks through on an astonishingly vibrant, bell-clear, mouthwateringly salt-tinged and downright juicy, not to mention ethereally floral finish. Starting Bid: $237.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese* Mosel (94WS, 93RP, 92JG). Wine Spectator: "A lush style, showing notes of nectarine, poached apple and lemon curd, with a backbone of vibrant acidity. Lovely now, but pretty intense and could use some time to integrate in order to show its best. Mineral, fruit and floral elements are all present, leading to a long finish marked by Asian spice accents. (AZ)" (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $92.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese Riesling Mosel (1.5L) (96JS, 95JG, 94RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92JD). James Suckling: Welcome to the heart of the Mosel! A great floral beauty with an extremely precise balance of delicate fruit sweetness and filigree acidity. (06/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Mosel (95WE, 95WS, 94W&S, (92-93RP), 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Leesy and sulfury, this wine is fully possessed of the 'Prüm stink', yet equally obvious is its incredible intensity and depth. Waves of tropical fruit--think guava and pineapple--cascade over the palate, yet the sweetness is beautifully balanced by acidity. Tremendously concentrated and long on the finish, this should easily live 20 years or more. (JC)" (06/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese Mosel (95WS, 93RP, 91WE). Wine Spectator: "A fantastic spätlese. Rich, succulent and harmonious, boasting peach, citrus and mineral aromas and flavors, all pure and displayed with finesse on a well-integrated structure. It picks up a creaminess and vanilla note on the endless finish. (BS)" (03/2003)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2003 Bert Simon Serrig Herrenberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Mosel (375ml) (96WS). Wine Spectator: Cantaloupe, honey and candied lemon aromas and flavors mark this racy TBA. The combination of acidity and sweetness is intense, offsetting each other with a sweet-tart impression. Terrific finish. Drink now through 2035. 25 cases imported. (BS) (03/2005)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel. Just upstream from the famed Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the Graacher Himmelreich. With deeper, richer soils, this site is a little less steep and its southwest exposure ensures the wines from this site always have a racy and juicy acid background that really makes the wines sing.
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Selbach-Oster "Schmitt" Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese Mosel.
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel. With its steep, grapevine-spiked slopes composed of pure, weathered devon slate soils, Wehlener Sonnenuhr is one of the Mosel's most iconic vineyards. Dr. Manfred Prüm made very favorable comparisons of the 2001s to 1990 and 1999, but with riper more compact acidity and minimal botrytis (except in the GKA). Fermented with indigenous yeast, this is intense, packed with tropical fruit aromas and flavors with tell-tale smoky, petrol notes. It has a long life ahead. 97 points from Jean Fisch and David Rayer for Mosel Fine Wines: "This offers a bright yellow color and a most beautiful nose of yellow peach, mango, passion fruit and white flowers. (04/2011)
Starting Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #9 (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Apples, limestone, and white flowers are found in the nose of the 2003 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Domprobst A.P. #0904. Armed with awesome breadth, this ample, medium-bodied wine bursts forth with crystalline freshness and verve. Loads of quartz, tea, and pear-laced minerals can be detected in its complex, pure, exceptionally long personality. Projected maturity: 2006-2022. Bravo to Willi Schaefer for having crafted such beauties!" (10/2004)
