Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Beringer "Bancroft Ranch" Howell Mountain Merlot (90WS). Wine Spectator: "Big, ripe, rich and tannic, packing in lots of currant, herb, cedar and spice notes and adding a toasty, smoky, woody overlay. An intense young wine that's firmer and more tannic than earlier Beringer Bancroft Merlots, but has a wonderful array of flavors." (08/1993)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94WS, 93RP, 92ST, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "Pure, rich and polished, which is unusual for this wine at this stage, since it can be quite tannic. Intense, with a fleshy, supple core of blackberry, currant, spice, mineral and wild berry flavors. Full-bodied, picking up a nice fruity lift on the finish. (JL)" (10/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Henri Gouges 1er Cru Nuits-St-Georges Blanc "La Perrière" ((88-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too there is a trace of the exotic on the floral, essence of pear and wet stone suffused nose. The attractively textured, intense and delicious medium-bodied flavors possess an almost pungent minerality, the presence of which is accentuated by a pronounced salinity that, somewhat curiously, is buffered by a slight sweetness. Despite the odd contrast of elements this still manages to work." (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Keplinger "Kingpin Rows" Knights Valley Syrah (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Kingpin Rows (100% Syrah from Pelkan Ranch) is plush, sweet, rich and totally inviting. This is a more finessed, perfumed style than the 2008. Layers of radiant fruit flow effortlessly to the silky, polished finish in this fabulous red. The 2009 can be enjoyed now or cellared. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Guarachi "Sun Chase Vineyard" Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir (95JD, 93RP, 92WS, 90WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "The single vineyard 2017 Pinot Noir Sun Chase (11 months in 40% new French oak) turns the purity and richness dial up a touch, offering beautiful black raspberry fruit, some smoked herbs, violets, and forest floor notes, medium body, beautiful elegance, and a great finish. It's an incredibly impressive, balanced Pinot Noir that I suspect will keep for a decade." (06/2019)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Myriad Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. From the winery: " Resting 600 feet above the Napa Valley and replanted in 1990, this historic vineyard is home to Clone 8 Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Sandstone and volcanic rock comprise the sedimentary-type soils, where vines are planted on steep, hand-carved terraces. The vineyard has thirty-percent slopes which face north-to-northeast so the vines are sun-drenched until mid-day, then able to enjoy the afternoon heat without direct sun exposure. This produces an even ripening pattern with no risk of sunburn or dehydration during the late hot summer heat. . . Wines produced from this vineyard express intense and concentrated flavors coupled with polished mountain tannins. Dark, firm, rich and structured. While accessible in their youth, the wines will age gracefully, producing more overall complexity and balance."

The full-bodied, densely packed, full-throttle palate has a solid structure of firm tannins and oodles for freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing long and savory. (LPB)" (04/2020)

Dense on the palate with decadent fruit, but a line of fresh acidity and the tannin backbone hold this together. Not for the faint of heart. " (04/2018)

Vinous: "The 2010 Lithic wraps around the palate with dark cherries, plums, new leather, cloves and menthol. Rich, powerful and intense, the 2010 shows off gorgeous depth and persistence. Portions of the Grenache and Syrah were fermented with whole clusters, but today it is the fruit and structure that are front and center. With time in the glass the wine's inner perfume emerges, adding lift and nuance. The blend is 44% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre and 25% Syrah, all from Shake Ridge Vineyard in Amador County. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Clos de la Tech "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94WE, 91VN, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Though much lower in price than the single vineyard offerings—and without the microchip on the label—this bottling carries all of the earthy aspects that characterize this iconoclastic winery. Umami aromas of nori wrap meet with dried purple flowers and blackberry on the nose. The mouthfeel is soft and full, with flavors full of loam, beet juice, incense and crushed boysenberry. *Editors' Choice* (MK)" (06/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 1992 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years. Deep crimson-purple, unmatched by virtually any Barossa Valley GSM; the alcohol, too, is strikingly low in GSM terms, then there is the powerful array of red and black fruits. Good now, but will be better still in 2+ years. This is a unique style, patented - so it seems - by d'Arenberg." (10/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes from the fifth leaf of this estate vineyard and in this vintage contains 4.5% Merlot. The wine was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, its distinctive aromatics leap from the glass. Toasty oak, scorched earth, a hint of truffle, black cherry, black raspberry, and blackberry liqueur aromas are quite mesmerizing. On the palate, this sizable effort is firm, full-bodied, and structured, demanding 6-8 years of cellaring. (JM)" (06/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 La Chablisienne Chablis Grand Cru "Château Grenouilles" (93BH, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An overtly exotic nose features a broad-ranging array of pear, apple, white peach and ocean breeze scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent volume and fine intensity to the lush and very round medium weight plus flavors that possess fine power, concentration and plenty of mouth coating extract, all wrapped in a citrus-inflected, balanced and impressively persistent finale. This is the best wine in the range in 2013 that again should be accessible young but reward a few years of cellaring as well." (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Behrens & Hitchcock "Homage to Ed Oliveira/Alder Springs Vineyard" Mendocino County Syrah (94RP, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dense opaque purple-colored 2001 Syrah Alder Springs Vineyard Homage to Ed Oliveira is a wine of tremendous intensity as well as a big, smoky, blackberry and blueberry-scented nose with hints of licorice as well as truffles. Dense, opulent, and voluptuous, it is a hedonistic Syrah to enjoy over the next 7-8 years.I admire what Les Behrens, Bob Hitchcock, their wives, friends, and lunatic dog are doing at their winery and cellars on the top of Spring Mountain. They are obsessed fanatics who make wine with no compromises...obviously my kind of people. (RP)" (12/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Rhys Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains is an excellent introduction to the house style. Floral aromas lead to layers of dark red fruit in this juicy, accessible Pinot. This is the least expensive Pinot in this lineup but it offers terrific balance, and shows no ill effects whatsoever of being tasted among the vineyard-designate bottlings. Fleshy, supple and wonderfully radiant, it will also drink better young than most, if not all, of those wines. The Santa Cruz Mountains is made from barrels that didn’t make it into the Horseshoe and Alpine bottlings. (AG)" (08/2011)
