93 points John Gilman: "This is also the first vintage of vineyard-designated chardonnay produced from the Bearwallow Vineyard. Kevin Harvey and his team purchased Bearwallow in 2008, which at the time was planted only to pinot noir, and they put their chardonnay into the ground the following year, so this is the produce of five year-old vines. However, high density planting and a close eye on yields has produced a 2014 chardonnay here that has plenty of intensity of flavor and little young vine character. This is more reserved and more serious in person...

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My favorite of the Chardonnays, the 2014 Chardonnay Horseshoe Vineyard reveals more minerality than the Alpine Vineyard, with lots of crushed rock, caramelized white currant, white peach and a distinct saltiness all emerging from the glass. This rich, beautifully concentrated and layered Chardonnay needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will keep for a decade. (JD)" (10/2016) 92 points Vinous: "A rich, voluptuous wine, the 2014 Chardonnay Horseshoe Vineyard is also the most overt of the Rhys Chardonnays. Orange jam,...

2018 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc (1.5L)
96-98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "I was able to taste the 2018 Hermitage Blanc from multiple barrels and tank, and I continue to think Jean-Louis fashions one of the greatest whites on planet earth. Gorgeous white flowers, honeysuckle, ripe quince, and toasted almond notes dominate the bouquet, and it has that rare mix of richness and opulence paired with incredible purity, freshness, and focus. It has a wealth of material yet also shows the vintage’s more rounded, sexy style. Plan on drinking bottles on release and over the following 2-4 years or hold off for ...

95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This presently has the same nose as the Corton-Charlemagne as it's both reduced and mildly woody though I would not expect this to persist beyond the first few years as the reduction is not heavy. There is once again outstanding volume and concentration as well as impressive size, weight and richness to the highly seductive big-bodied flavors that possess a plenitude of dry extract that both coats the palate and buffers the firm acid spine shaping the gorgeously long and well-balanced finale. In 2014 this more resemb...

96 points Decanter: "Labelled as simply Charlemagne, this comes from two parcels - one in Le Charlemagne, the other in En Charlemagne - that were picked a week apart. The blend certainly works, because this is one of the best examples of the Grand Cru in 2018, with understated concentration, 30% new wood, notes of beeswax and citrus zest and an undertow of minerality. (TA)" (10/2019) 90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is aromatically quite restrained with its decidedly cool nose of quinine, green apple, lemon-lime and an admirably discre...

95-97 points Vinous: "The 2018 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is simply magnificent. In this vintage, all the Clos signatures are kicked up a few notches. Readers will find a dramatic Chablis of grand, sweeping proportions. Lemon confit, white pepper, mint and dried flowers build as this flamboyant, exotic Chablis shows off its curves. The 2018 is simply magnificent. There is not much more I can say than that. (AG)" (01/2020) 96 points Decanter: "The Dauvissat holdings have been reduced to three parcels now - two above the road and one below it - but there...

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is brilliant, unwinding in the glass with notes of oyster shell, orange blossom, iodine, wet stones and freshly baked bread. Full-bodied, deep and tightly wound, with racy acids, chalky structuring extract and an incredibly intense, pungently saline finish, this is a magical young wine from Dauvissat. Technically retired but very much a continuing presence at his eponymous domaine, Vincent Dauvissat—who forsook a career as a shepherd to become one of France's most celebrate...

100 points James Suckling: "This is really exuberant at this stage with fantastic aromas of honeysuckle, salt, chalk and dried apples and pears. Full body. Dense, vivid fruit with a linear frame of wonderful, energetic acidity. The energy and length just goes on for minutes. Soulful white. Argentina’s answer to Montrachet. Stares you straight in the eyes." (04/2020) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 White Bones Chardonnay shows a slightly showier personality than the 2018 White Stones, but it's less balsamic and minty than the 2017 Whi...

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru La Forest is the deepest and most complete of Dauvissat's premiers crus, delivering a complex bouquet of orange oil, pear and fresh bread complemented by top notes of iodine, dried white flowers and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's layered and concentrated, with superb mid-palate volume, lively acids and a long, electric finish. Technically retired but very much a continuing presence at his eponymous domaine, Vincent Dauvissat—who forsook a career as a shepherd...

97 points Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "Give this 5 or 10 minutes to open in the glass because it has a pretty serious structure, deftly weighted, full of white pear, quince and apricot pit, balanced by savoury rosemary, straw and fennel notes, successful and totally moreish. A vintage that had the freshness necessary for great white wines in Bordeaux, and Y pulls away from the pack with this wine." (9/2021)

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Domaine François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Champ Gain" (1.5L).
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Realm "Fidelio" Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (1.5L). Realm is more notable for their full-throttle, powerful reds but they also make one white wine. From the winery: "When we decided to make a Sauvignon Blanc in 2007, we wanted it to be a serious wine. Trouble was, we weren’t sure how to identify a great Sauvignon Blanc vineyard. We asked our friend Andy Erickson, who’s had a lot of experience with the varietal. 'That’ll be easy for you, ' he said. 'A great Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard is going to make a great Sauvignon Blanc.' It makes sense; after all, Cabernet Sauvignon is a cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. What wasn’t so easy, however, was finding a great Cab vineyard planted to Sauvignon Blanc."
Starting Bid: $160.00
